“Stopped by here for breakfast with my Fiancé, we loved it so much we're looking to hire a section out for a wedding breakfast. As you enter, your senses are greeted by a warm coffee aroma. We were warmly greeted by Leonie and shown to a table. We ordered the The Butcher (all english breakfast) and a side of chrozio, you could immediately tell, quality ingredients we're used, it was worth the price! We also ordered 2 rounds of coffee's and coconut latte. We will be back!”

“I heard about the chorba at this place from an elderly gentleman - so I made it my mission to go. The chicken soup was piping hot and tasty ( home style ). Well priced - super clean and no frills - clean display cabinet - nice music and clean toilet. I loved it so much I stayed to read my book and have another beverage. These are the local places we need to support!!! Next time I’ll go for breakfast.”

“Wonderful calming atmosphere - nice furniture, good lighting, Classic FM gently playing. But not the place to go if you're in a rush! I visited a couple months ago and will return soon. The owner makes lovely strong coffee (I had the macchiato, so I'm sure there are gentler brews!) and takes great care in making sandwiches to order. He's an elderly guy so he's quite slow, but I didn't mind at all. And all for such a low price that I forgot I was even in London!!”

“I have been to this pub a few times.since the new manager took over (i think he has been managing for around 8 months now). They are a very friendly community based team. Today for example a lady in a wheel chair was outside and asked me.to let.thr staff kmow she needed help. Thr manager immediately let.me tell him even though he was really busy. Came out straight away and mads the lady feel special and supported. He even tried to find a comfy seat available for her and one that was not high. When I have been here before the manager was again very chatty and explained he wamts customers.tk feel special and valued. He certainly has achieved this. The ither staff also are friendly and always approachable. You will be served here quickly as they make customers a priority.the food is amazing too.”

“Attended first Sunday lunch offering at Naughty Neighbour, the restaurant attached to Lawrence Arms. Started with a nice local beer, then the roast belly of pork with all the veg; also ordered the roast beef. All hot, tasty, filling, plus excellent hot gravy. We had booked and there were a few walkins. Finished with great apple crumble. Good value for money too, and reasonably priced wines.”

“Alright so, From the first bite to the last, this pizza was a masterpiece. The crust was perfectly crisp, yet delightfully chewy, providing the ideal foundation for the symphony of flavors that danced upon it. The sauce, a vibrant blend of tomatoes and herbs, offered a tangy sweetness that awakened the palate. Each topping was carefully selected and generously applied, creating a harmonious balance of textures and tastes. The cheese, melted to gooey perfection, added a creamy richness that tied everything together. Overall, this pizza was an exceptional culinary experience, earning a well-deserved 5/5 rating.”

“Part of the St. Martin's Hotel experience, this lovely little Cafe is connected and situated next door. The ambiance is relaxing and chill. There is a nice selection of coffees as well as a small selection of baked goods and sandwiches. The cappuccinos that I had during my stay were delicious! The best part of the experience were the staff. Alex and Tetiana were outstanding! Their commitment to excellence and professionalism were amazing. They were personable, helpful and just very nice people. They were the main reason that my group kept coming back. The level of service was top shelf. When I return to London, I will definitely make a point to stop by Ella's Mia!”

“Exceptional Stay in the Heart of London★★★★★ I recently had the pleasure of staying at The pillar Hotel, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The location is perfect—right in the heart of London, making it easy to explore the city’s top attractions. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. The room was immaculate, beautifully designed, and equipped with all the modern amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was exceptionally cozy, ensuring a great night’s sleep after a long day of sightseeing. Breakfast was a highlight, with a fantastic selection of fresh, high-quality options. The hotel’s attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction truly set it apart. I highly recommend The pillar hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and stress-free stay in London. “We were really happy with our stay. Great location, quiet at night, clean facilities and helpful staff. Free luggage storage and free tea and coffee machine. Downsides were there aren't enough hooks for towels in the bathroom and the street just outside the hotel entrance has a few homeless tents”

“5 minute walk from Victoria Station. It is in a quiet residential area with a lovely hot breakfast daily. The room price is high for a very small room BUT the breakfast is high quality and adds so much value. Bathrooms are sparkling clean. There is staff available to get ice or linen. The restaurant is only open for the breakfast but does offer alcoholic drinks at night. Beds were very comfortable but there is literally very little space to walk or stand in the room. The proprietor is independent and should be supported for not joining a hotel chain. I recommend The Windermere”

“Rooms are almost perfect except the size. Smaller but cleverly designed. There is no wardrobe that you can hang many clothes, either you keep them in the baggage or bring an iron. “This was a great hotel! The location was really convenient for sightseeing and catching the train. Lots of decent restaurants nearby that I strongly suggest you check out instead of the restaurant across the street. A few convenience stores nearby too that came in handy. The rooms were clean and spacious, my only slight complaint are the faucets in the bathrooms. They made a huge mess everytime I washed my hands. But overall, awesome property and I highly recommend!”

“I can’t recommend this hotel enough! I’m quite particular about cleanliness, and this place truly impressed me; everything was spotless, with attention to every detail. The bed was very comfortable, the room well-equipped, and the staff were incredibly warm and friendly! The location is perfect too, just a few meters from the subway, with a laundromat, grocery stores, and plenty of great restaurants nearby. A nice bonus was the stunning open view from my room! Considering the quality and the location, the price is an absolute steal!”

“Popped in for lunch. I had beans and cheese jacket potato - which was delicious. Fluffy potato inside with lots of butter - and crispy outsides. My wife had the club day breakfast #1 which she enjoyed. Service was prompt and polite and I love the paintings no the walls!”
