    Torquay House (Royal Oak)

    ★★★★☆ 4.4
    Open

“I lived here for 6 months, I have very beautiful memories. I had a beautiful, comfortable and modern studio. I have always felt very safe in this place. The employees are very friendly and helping at all times. When I arrived at night from work I felt very calm that there was always someone at the door watching who by the way were very kind. Everything was always very clean. In my case it had a kitchen and bathroom too, although it has two shared kitchens and two very nice terraces with good views. The area is good, it has supermarkets nearby and small shops around. Also soccer fields and parks. Without a doubt, I'm very grateful!!”

    Railton House (Paddington)

    ★★★★☆ 4.3
    Open

“Time for an update review! So, Railton House has been recently refurbished and now it's looking better than ever before. Rooms: bright and airy, with cute wall shelving units, proper long and thick curtains, modern wardrobes with doors that don't slam, bedside units and there's even a mini-fridge in every room for all your cold drinks! Facilities: apart from refreshed and repainted toilets and kitchens, most shower rooms were built from scratch and now sport brand new, modern and roomy shower cabins. Common areas: premise has been thoroughly repainted inside, with all carpets replaced. Internet: super fast, secured Internet access (>100Mbit Wi-Fi/1Gbit LAN - Ethernet sockets for each bed for those more demanding) so you can stream, download and upload without limits. What hasn't changed is price-to-value, central location and the professionalism of the staff and management. I've been here for quite some time now and I'm planning to stay for a while longer.”

“We had a really good time here as a scholar group. We spent 5 nights here and it was such a lovely time ! Since we were there for a whole week, we had the chance to try much of what the pub has to offer (Breakfast, Burgers, coffee and beers) and it was really really good and with good prices. Regarding the beds, It was also good, while it is for a single person each, the bunk bed was of good quality and we slept really well ! The cost of staying was also not that high. As you may have understood, we deeply appreciated our stay here and we definitely recommend !”

“Ramsay Hall is best described by one word: functionality. It's not comfy or flashy, but it serves its purpose. An unbeatable location for UCL students moving to London for the first time. The building is old and certainly has its quirks, but if you run into problems, the staff--Saiful, Sarka, and Ellery among many others--are kind and helpful. To the extent other reviews on here say the staff aren't friendly or helpful, I'd expect that they're coming from pampered students who didn't treat the staff with respect. If you're a UCL student looking for accommodation in your first year, hope for Ramsay. It'll be memorable and you'll be in a top-tier location.”

“I hardly ever leave reviews but as a 22 year old woman, This is my second stay here and this time I was alone. It’s so convenient, a bus away from vauxhall station, the Victoria line. I came far too early after not realizing that check in was at 2pm. I was heading to a festival at 2pm and the receptionist kindly passed the message on to cleaners that my room was priority. He didn’t have to, the cleaners didn’t have to but they did anyway! Will continue to come back here in the future :)”

“I had a very positive experience staying at LSE Bankside in London. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always did their best to assist with any requests, which made the stay feel welcoming. I particularly appreciated the availability of a luggage storage room, provided free of charge for guests. The room itself had everything necessary for a short stay and a comfortable night’s sleep. It was tidy and pleasantly quiet, which I valued after a busy day in the city. The only drawback was that the furniture felt rather dated and could benefit from an upgrade, but this did not take away from the overall comfort of the stay.”
