“St. Christopher’s Camden is hands down one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and the staff truly go above and beyond to help out, whether it’s giving tips about the city, helping with directions, or just having a friendly chat. I always felt really safe during my stay, which is something I really value when staying in hostels. The rooms and shared spaces were clean and comfortable, and the vibe was just right, social, but you can also get some quiet when you need it. The location was perfect, Camden is such a vibrant part of London with tons of culture, music, and food, and with the Underground so close, you felt like you were staying in the center of London! Whether you're a first-time visitor or a returning traveler, I’d recommend this hostel to anyone looking for an awesome London experience.”

“I have been at Bowden Court for a while now and honestly, I am really glad I picked this place. The rent already includes breakfast and meals, which makes life so much easier, saves a lot of time, and actually helps with budgeting too. The food is really tasty with plenty of options (both veg and non-veg) so there’s always something good to pick from. The rooms are comfy, and the reception staff are super friendly and always around to help 24/7. It is affordable, flexible, and honestly I dont think you will find a better deal in London. Definitely recommend it if you are looking for a stress-free stay.”

“Really convenient if you are UCL student as it is a 5 minute walk to the main quad. The Ramsay team was great when I asked to swap rooms, the manager Saiful was really helpful and quickly responded after I put in the room swap request. The rooms are bigger than I expected. I actually like staying here.”

“We stayed here for two nights and were completely satisfied. We had a private room with two single beds and a bathroom. The room was small but cozy. It was cleaned every day, and we received fresh towels. The bathroom was clean. The water pressure in the shower wasn’t very strong, but it was enough for showering. The staff was very friendly and always helpful whenever we had any questions. Overall, we had a very good stay.”

“This hostel has one of the greatest service I’ve experienced and the free breakfast and dinner is a plus. The staff is great and suggest many activities which makes the staying fun. The bathrooms and other facilities are constantly cleaned. Rooms are a bit small so we can easily feel packed.”

“Stayed here in 2023, for a week. Great centrical location just a block away from Earl's Court station, which is a hub for two Tube lines (a direct line from LHR terminal 4) and also a bus away from the South Kensington museum area. Fabio attended us very well remotely and on site. Price was very good for a two-bed room with view of the garden. The two common bathrooms on the hallway were always clean and functioning. You arrive by yourself and get the keys with a password the provide you.”

“Have been living here for 2 years. The previous Hostel Managers, Flavio and Sadhana, were both really lovely people. However, a couple of months ago Chika, the new Hostel Manager, took charge of Holland House and he has completely changed to the better this place. What a revolution! This hostel hase never been so clean, tidy and organized, never. Chika really knows what he is doing. And by talking to other long term residents, they all agree on what I say. Also the level of communication from the Hostel Management has skyrocketed to the highest standards ever. Now issues are promplty communicated to all residents who aren't left in the dark trying to guess for themselves what's going on. And also the staff (volunteers and non volunteers) efforts to make things right have improved a lot. And the food? The new Chef cooking skills are simply amazing. She is really a great Chef and a lovely person, and the food is made with passion and love. Final thought: Chika is a massive credit for the whole LHA. He should be training every other manager across all LHA hostels on how to manage things properly and how to get things right. If I could give 6 stars to describe my experience in these past 2 months, I would. But the maximum I can give is just 5... Thank you Chika and the whole team of hardworking staff and volunteers! “Best hostel to live in barking and Dagenham”

“This review is for the private rooms. It's a clean, quiet room for an unbeatable price in London. I've stayed here twice on extended layovers in the UK, once in August 2024 and once in June 2025. The sheets and the bed are clean, and I appreciate that they have a full kitchen and ironing services. Respectfully, when looking for budget stays in London you do need to adjust your expectations. I've stayed in a number of budget hotels over the years and this is the only one that didn't have carpet mites or a mildew-y smell. London really is one of those places where it's worth it to upgrade your housing. This isn't a 5* experience by any means, just a safe and clean place to hang your hat when you're rarely going to be in the room anyways. I will say that this time the bathrooms were nowhere near as clean as last time. It was worth it to wait until late morning and use the facilities right after the cleaners. It seemed to me that there was a lot more long term residents there, mostly men, so it didn't have the same vibes as last time. I think it's probably a commentary on the global economic situation than anything else. The staff have always been pleasant, by UK service standards. :) Keep in mind their policies regarding cash that are provided when booking to avoid any phaff.”

“Great budget hotel. Super close to a bunch of places and just off the main road so it's quieter than other places. Hotel itself can be noisy with the fire hotels but otherwise no issues. Communal bathrooms were clean, though clearly have been there for many years and could do with a touch up. Separate cubicles in men's and women's showers + neutral cubicle toliet stalls. All cleaned every morning and soap/body wash/shampoo is provided Several kitchenettes to each area, all equipped with basic stuff, though if you want to use the oven you'll have to bring stuff yourself. Staff were great and no issues Simple cheap hotel”

“I stayed at with them for 15 days. I really enjoyed my stay. The Manager Jay was always available for anything that I needed. It's the best place to stay in London. The washrooms were very clean too. The staff go out of their way to accommodate the guests. I would definitely recommend whether u are in London for a week or a month, this is the best place to be.”
