“Absolute little gem in Green Street Green. Had 4 lunches this week and loved every single one. Menu is so different from all the rest of the other cafés. Plenty of vegetarian options to choose from. Had a different dessert every day, felt spoilt for choice. The best carrot cake I've ever eaten, and the blondie and the brownie... My partner had not fried, but baked big breakfast and absolutely LoVe it. Noticed owner knew his customers by name, very special for me. And the coffee is indeed the best. We will miss not working in the area and getting fed by Belmondo”

“Food was good and the staff friendly (Elise-sorry if I’ve misremembered your name). The place was clean and comfortable with easy parking. There was a small delay with the food being served at that particular time due to a wake being held in another private room but we were kept informed and apologies were offered. Would recommend The Chelsfield Arms.”

“First visit and what a great first impression. Lovely food and atmosphere, service was exceptional. Visited with a friend for a lunch and both really happy with lunch menu. For starters we had mushroom crostini and bruschetta, for main veggie lasagna and chicken pasta. For desert we both chose cream brule. All was lovely and felt well looked after. Will definitely come back with family”

“A Hidden Gem with Wonderful Improvements! I’ve been visiting this bakery as of recent, and I have to say, the improvements since the change of staff have been incredible. It’s always been a lovely little spot, but now it truly shines! The selection of cakes and food is fantastic—everything is fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The coffee is brilliant too, with a great range of options to suit everyone’s taste. Whether you fancy a strong espresso or a creamy latte, they get it just right every time. The staff are a real credit to the place—so friendly, polite, and genuinely welcoming. It’s a small, family-run business, and you can tell they put their heart into everything they do. Cleanliness is clearly a top priority here. The ingredients are always fresh, and the tables, chairs, and cutlery are spotless. It’s also reassuring to see their hygiene rating proudly displayed at the front of the shop. One of the best things about this bakery is the space. It’s not cramped like some cafés, and there’s even a lovely garden where you can sit outside and enjoy your food in the fresh air. It’s such a peaceful spot to relax, especially on a sunny day. Given the rise in the cost of living, I also really appreciate that the prices here are very reasonable. You get great quality food and drinks without feeling like you’re overspending, which makes it even easier to keep coming back! All in all, I highly recommend this bakery. It’s a warm, welcoming place with great food, fantastic coffee, and lovely people running it. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out!”

“Our last walk of the year on the 30th Dec 2023, resulted in us having a small refreshment stop here. We were warmly welcomed, upon entering this gem of a traditional pub. The menu looked to be a great choice of the usual pub food. I'll note here that there's a large selection of pies. Which included their Festive December Pie. We weren't hungry on this occasion so chose their basket food, which was reasonably priced and arrived quickly. The rest room facilities were clean and tidy, and I'll note the men's was larger than most for this area. A queue for these would be a rare thing I'd say. In summary a cosy atmosphere, and warm unlike many pubs I've visited recently. I am looking forward to another walk in this area, so I can try out the pies of The George and Dragon.”

“Went for Christmas Day Lunch, with my wife and a friend. Food was hot, well cooked and well presented with decent quantities - no skimping! No issues whatsoever; apart from the fact that we may need to book months earlier next year! We are irregular customers, and have never had a reason to complain about anything over the years we have been using The Black Horse.”

“We hold a monthly craft meeting at the Maxwell. The atmosphere is always friendly and welcoming. The team open early for us, which is amazing of them. We are always made to feel welcome and Flo is always so hospitable and helpful. We love how accessible the location is too. The food is great, we just wish there was breakfast service too!! ☺️”

“It maybe a mini version of a usual H&B store, but, the staff here are so helpful, resourceful having vested interest in the welfare of the customer over just selling anything off the rack. Special thanks to Lesley and Antonina, they have always been nice to my family, given us useful tips, advises and product information. Also on how best we can use our H&B loyalty card and deals to save money. They even sweetly pamper my little one and she loves going to the store for her dose of healthy snacks. As the store is small, I usually order my items online and it quickly gets delivered for pick up from this local store. I have been visiting H&B stores for years, but, when we moved local, I found the service in this store way more personalised, warm and welcoming. Keep up the great work!”

“The best burger joint to get mouth watering burgers! Was served by Rafi who works there and overwhelmed by the service. The interior deisgn is instagram pic worthy and the flooring design I have never seen with all sort of pink swirly patterns. Very chilled out and atmospheric enviroment. If you haven't already been there I suggest you go now and try "The Brisket Burger" its out of the world!”

Only slight comment is about the lighting, please please change ‘bright’ light bulbs for ‘soft’ light bulbs to make a better ambience. Just turning them down doesn’t really work as they are too harsh but everything else Amazing.”

“My kitchen has been transformed from a purely functional room, to a space the whole family loves spending time in. I wasn't expecting very much when I first went to visit Piqu as I'd already seen a design from another company that I liked. But meeting with Adrian, I knew Piqu would be my choice. Adrian was able to take into account my vision for the kitchen, how I use it and my budget, to give me something that surpassed my expectations in terms of design, layout, quality and beauty. The choice of colour, 'Moonlight Green', along with the unique Sensa Sant Angelo granite is a combination that gives me so much joy!! Adrian's expertise was key in ensuring the kitchen was designed to work with how I intended to use it, and what I planned to store in its cupboards. He was very patient and accommodated my back and forth on some of the finer details. But more exceptional was his attitude when dealing with issues that arose, which is inevitable in a project of that scale (the kitchen was part of a whole house extension and renovation). He took responsibility to ensure all problems were resolved, quibble-free, and to a high standard. I 100% recommend Piqu to anyone who's looking for a new kitchen.”

“I booked an afternoon tea in a pod for myself, my mum and my aunt today. I have to say that Fiona was absolutely AWESOME!! She attended to our every request with a smile and some great chatter. Fiona is a true asset to the Mulberry Tree at Ruxley! GIVE HER A RAISE!!! The food was outstanding too. A really lovely afternoon tea with the best scone I have ever had in my life. So thank you to Fiona for making our afternoon so special. And thanks to the kitchen for the beautiful food. I booked this afternoon tea as an early Mother’s Day treat and I am so glad we went. It was perfect and I highly recommend!”

I always leave with exactly what I want and when I want to change things slightly, she will advise me on the best options for my hair type. Great service and highly recommend.”
