Half an hour after wandering around this amazing tardis of a shop, in complete awe of the size of the shop and selection of produce, we came out with three bottles of wine and almost a week's worth of shopping! I am a retired convenience store owner myself and, after 40 years in the sector, can safely say, this is the best convenience store you will likely find anywhere in the UK. “I’ve been taking my rabbit to Scallywags for the past 7 years and I honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else. The staff are always welcoming and helpful. Recently I noticed something wrong with my rabbits eyes and breathing, so took him to the vet who assured me everything was fine. When I next visited scallywags, karen immediately noticed something wasn’t right and strongly advised me to take him back to the vet as soon as possible. Thanks to her keen observation and genuine care, I did just that and after a referral to a specialist, he was diagnosed with a tumour. I’m so grateful to Karen, her knowledge of rabbits is exceptional and her love for animals shines through. I truly can’t thank Karen and the team enough. Scallywags is a rare gem and I couldn’t recommend them enough.”

This is the first kitten I have had as an adult, and I wanted to give her the best start in life, so I visited 2 vets in my location. I could not believe how I was totally ignored at the first vet I visited. I thought if they could ignore a human, then I didn't know what they would do to my kitten. So I then visited Goddard Veterinary and was so happy how Marie spoke to me and explained everything to me. First impressions really do count! I phoned through and the shop keeper waited for me to arrive and helped me find the right part and even said if it wasn't the right one I could return it.
