Night out in Croydon

“In the heart of Croydon, a Sri Lankan restaurant, from the outside it did not suggest anything good, in reality, a really charming, clean and well-kept restaurant. short waiting times. GREAT FOOD really tasty. reasonable prices. Really courteous staff also very friendly manger. bathrooms clean and well maintained. if you are in the area I recommend it. great! Also plates are really nice with sun and moon.”

“I had an amazing afternoon at The Store. The service was outstanding. The manager was welcoming and kind. I came to do some work during their Friday hotdesk session. She let me know where the sockets were for my laptop, welcomed me to make myself comfortable, and kept checking if I was okay. I ended up eating from the hotdesk menu, where you can get unlimited coffee. I had two meals, both were really nice and well presented. I called my brother to join me because it was so nice and he came and we had cocktails to end a successful work session. They were delicious also. It was fairly quiet in there. When I first arrived there was a lovely mum and baby club at the back in a separate space, so there was plenty of space to sit and feel comfortable. I usually use headphones when I’m out but the vibe was good and the music was comforting so I didn’t use my headphones. The restaurant was clean with a good atmosphere and stunning decor. I felt really focused. The lights that hang over the tables could do with a wipe though, as there was some dirt that looked like it might fall into the table. One of those things that once you see it, you can’t unsee it. Overall it was a brilliant spot and I will be visiting much more regularly now. Highly recommended.”

“Our first time at Flip out, Croydon. We had our son's birthday there today. It was great and the staff were fantastic. Priyanka was our party host and we could not have asked for any more from her. Even though they were very busy, she was always smiling and ready to help with any requests. Nothing was too much to ask. It was an excellent service all round and the place was fun for the kids. “Ive been to this wee local pub a few times, always friendly and good banter! Its nice to get away from the hussle an bussle of the high street of croydon tho your only just around the corner.. wee places like this are becoming very rare and in time will eventually be pushed out by other big clubs/pubs doing student nights and cheap drinks night, this pub seems to have a loyal community following and long may it last! Ill definitely be back.”

“The only bar worth visiting in Croydon if you enjoy craft beer. Excellent range of beers both on tap and in the fridge. They usually have food available at weekends, and on weekdays you’re welcome to bring food in. Knowledgable staff.”

“I flew here from Melbourne where you can't find Foster's on tap anywhere (go figure!). The beer is great, and most are pulled from a traditional pump. The fish and chips is up there with the the best I've had. This place vibes like I would hope every little street pub would vibe. It's a shame I have to fly back home to the other Croydon in Melbourne.”

I usually leave the nail shop stressed and annoyed due to them not being done properly so I was nervous to try another place again, but I’m so glad I did! “Visited a couple of times since restrictions were lifted. Very professional service with staff attending tables to take orders regularly. Definitely London pricing, cocktails will set you back £9.50+ a pop but they are delicious and pack a punch. And the food!!!...I had the hake, partner had the bone marrow burger - I have not had food that good since the Michelin starred Albert's Table closed down. Outstanding! You do need to book in advance and you only get 2 hrs per booking per day. Not all tables have heaters but vast majority do and 90% of tables are covered. On our 2nd visit the heater above our table wasn't working which was a shame because we would have stayed longer if it had been. A must visit for cocktail lovers and foodies alike.”

“Lovely spot for a Sunday Roast. Took the Misses and some mates here a few weeks ago and the grub was very good and very reasonably priced too. One of the best roast spuds I've had in a pub. Guinness was up there with some of the better pints I've had. Not a massive fan of the inside of the pub, bit like a sports club I prefer more of a dirty old mans boozer, but it has a cracking beer garden for the sunny days. I'd return for a summers sesh on the ciders.”

“I jumped on the bus going the wrong way to get home from ASDA . When I and the wife jumped off to head the right direction we decided to grab a bite when we saw the Plough. They were only serving Sunday Roast and I am extremely glad . I would have hated to have ordered something else and missed this great dish! Being from Texas there is a certain expectation when it come to cooked beef and this roast didn’t disappoint but you will pay for it. It’s a bit pricey for only 1 piece of beef but the quality was outstanding. I will return for more!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
