“This is a great restaurant. We had a stunning lunch. Beautiful Seabass ceviche, followed by Zucchini fritters and then Sauté scallops. All were cooked perfectly. The chefs are doing a great job and are being supported by friendly and professional front of house. We loved our lunch. You can go here with confidence.”

“Very nice woman waited on us (I think it is the owner?). We found this first by accident when hungry after hotel check in. My nephew wanted to try it again before we left. Fantastic meals, very fresh and tasty, prices very reasonable. The pastries are very good (cannoli was perfect), the cappuccinos we had very good, and the gnocchi (my nephew tried the lasagna and enjoyed it). I would definitely come back when next in London.”

“Lovely neighborhood restaurant with a great outside space to extend the number of tables. My husband makes the best risotto, but honestly I was blown away by how good the risotto was here. So much so that I mentioned it to the chef as we left. We will be back!”

“Seems extreme to label all 5⭐️s but I had no plans to come here. I was meant to go across the street to another restaurant where I had a booking, peeked in here on the way over & ditched all plans. The food was phenomenal. I had a lamb shank which melted off the bone. We had a seafood starter and the haloumin which was grand. Nicholas was a gem. One of my fave nights in my new neighbourhood. 100% RECOMMEND!”

“What a hidden gem! We had an amazing dinner at Lizzie’s. The chef was so kind and accommodating with our children offering them a special main. He came out of the kitchen multiple times to make sure we were ok and tasting different dishes. The service is attentive without being overbearing. It’s so refreshing to find a genuine Italian restaurant. We were 16 people from different parts of Italy and everyone had an amazing experience. “A special meal for my birthday and it was fantastic, Tim our waiter was just brilliant. Was filling our water glasses before we even noticed, recommended drinks based on our likes. He was superb with my partner who had multiple allergies to egg milk and nuts. When a course accidentally came out with a sauce which he thought could have milk it in, he quickly made a replacement himself so we could eat together. He sadly had to go quickly at the end, so didn’t have time to thank him properly for how brilliant he was. He was credit to the Clink and HMP Brixton. Will come back for afternoon tea and hope that lovely Tim or his colleagues are working. And hope that I’m served by Tim again in the future!”

The venue is spotless, beautifully maintained, and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. The customer service is exceptional — the staff are genuinely polite, attentive, and always serve you with a big smile. The food is incredible: full of flavour, fresh, authentic, and prepared with real care. Every dish feels like a celebration of taste. And of course, the highlight — the shisha. Mubarak is truly number one when it comes to shisha. His skills, hospitality, and attention to detail make the experience perfect every single time. He listens, recommends, adjusts everything to your liking, and creates the smoothest, most enjoyable sessions. His customer service alone is worth the visit. Honestly, Roots delivers on every level. “We visited the restaurant as a group of five. We were greeted with a warm hello and a smile. Once we were shown to our table, Our order was served fairly quickly. The food was fresh and tasted amazing. We couldn’t resist having seconds which we washed down with spicy Ethiopian tea whilst listening to some pleasant classical Ethiopian music in the background. Great service. Will be back soon.”

“Real hidden gem. Was my little Brothers birthday and Really looked after us. The food was some of the best ever had hearty and nourishing all fresh. The salad platter is well worth it although its to share but its so so good easily could have had one each and the bread served with it was tasty . Chicken Spring rolls were to die for never had anything like it so good. The mains we got chicken and lamb tajine and they both were delicious. kept us full for a gig at the 02 academy. Highly 11/10 Reccomend khamsa and big thank you to the chef/waiter running place on his own yet still making us feel looked after and serving the best food not an easy feat”

“Really delicious food, excellent range of spiciness, and overall a very friendly environment. There is not a large amount of space, so if you know you'll be going during peak hours, it would be best to have a reservation ahead of time. Would especially recommend any of the noodle-based dishes as the noodles tasted amazing!”

“If you have never had adjarian khachapuri, have you even lived? The chicken thighs were nice and the mushroom dumplings delicious, but the khachapuri is really the star of the show! Absolutely stunning. It's a decent size and quite heavy, so share between at least two people if you're going for the mains, but honestly as far as I'm concerned it's all you need. I'd come back just for that and have only that. Food was slow to come out but piping hot and fresh when it did, and the service very friendly. I will say that if you're sensitive to noise, make sure to sit outside. The place is very small and the acoustics horrible, so when a very loud group came in it was quite insufferable. But that's the only negative.”

“We were working while enjoying desserts and kebabs. The food here is absolutely delicious. The prices are great, and there are many street foods to choose from. The homemade baklava doesn't feel greasy or overly sweet at all; instead, it has a comforting mouthful of nutty fragrance and sweetness, perfect with Turkish tea. The combination inside the doner bread is also incredibly harmonious. The texture of the bread itself is outstanding, with a crispy exterior, chewy interior, and soft thickness to hold all the meat and vegetables. The kebab is served with grilled green peppers, chips,feta, along with pickles&veggies(to choose from). It is simply perfect! This is even better and more affordable than the ones I've had before. The total bill came to just 9.5! The people are nice. Love the vibe, lucky to live nearby&will visit again for sure”

“Absolutely stunning food！Had the full tasting menu. Every single course tastes amazing！ The whole dining experience was fantastic. The amuse bouche was served in the bar area，and then we were led to the dining room. The dining tables are big and between tables it is very well spaced. The service is very professional. The environment is very well designed and decorated. Guests can watch the chefs cooking in the open kitchen. The taste of the food is complicated also very well balanced. My favourate dishes are lobster rice，quail，fish stew and the wagyu.”
