“We had an excellent weekend stay at the Canopy. On arrival we received a very friendly, welcoming and efficient check-in service from Connor. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Due to a train delay, we arrived much later than planned, so ate at the hotel the first night. The food was delicious and, again, the service friendly and efficient. Breakfast was very good. Not a huge selection, but still enough to choose from, and good quality. Our only issue was that the pillows in our room were too plump for our liking, but the staff promptly changed them for us. Throughout our stay, the staff were excellent. We would certainly stay here again.”

“This was my second visit, and it was just as amazing as the first! Located on the 38th floor, the views are incredible, and the whole atmosphere feels special. The service is top-notch — the staff are always so friendly and helpful, really making you feel looked after. The food is outstanding — the sea bass, the sushi, everything was absolutely on point. It’s one of those places where every dish tastes fresh and full of flavour. Definitely one of my favourite spots for a treat meal!”

“My wife and I dined here in August 2025 and were served by the very witty and extremely professional Gawl.The food was very tasty, the experience is truly unique and like nothing we have done before. When you read its pitch black, it really is. Like you can hold your own hand an inch in front of your face and you still will not see it. This did not put us off in any way, but please do bear it in mind before booking. If it's not for you, that's ok, just know what you are signing up to. Before you enter the room they do take for safekeeping anything that can be reflective (like a wristwatch), but not things like diamond earrings and/or rings (so image how dark it really is if they are not worried about the diamond absorbing and reflecting the light back)! Also, if you need to, you can leave the dark dining space and visit the restroom during the dining experience, but we didn't as that would have "broke up" the atmosphere of truly dining in the dark. All in all, I highly recommend this to anyone who does not have issues with "the dark". I would not repeat the experience as it really is the element of surprise which made it so fascinating for us (like how will you "see" what you are eating - spoiler alert - you dont, and sometimes have to resort to helping yourself with your hands to ensure food is on the cutlery, which sounds counterintuitive, I know!), but I am very happy we did it once. Also, we were told that the menu changes every six months or so, so you can visit twice a year to surprise your taste palette, if you would like. In summary, I would definitely recommend at least one visit in your life and hopefully you get Gawl who made the whole two plus hours fly by! P.S. 1 I have not taken any photos so not to spoil your experiences. P.S.2. Kudos to the restaurant owners for employing blind and visually impiared people. On a very serious note, this restaurant experiences is really exceptionally informative of what it is like for blind and visually impaired people. Of course, the fact that the customer gets to return to their everyday life, whilst those who are blind or visually impaired do not leave this "darkness" is not lost on anyone who gives it a bit of a thought. Really makes you appreciate the "givens" in life!”

“Great music, great atmosphere. For a blackman I did not feel out of place at all with my Serb wife. People from the Balkans are completely different from white brits. Much friendlier and welcoming.”

“Our favourite spot in London! We’ve been coming to The Ned since our very first dinner together, and it never disappoints. The food is always delicious, the service exceptional, and the atmosphere simply unmatched. On our last visit there was a brief power cut for about 30 minutes, but honestly, it made the evening even more romantic with the candlelight — and the staff kindly offered complimentary wine, which was such a lovely touch. There’s often a live band playing, adding to the magic of the night, and it’s conveniently close to the station. For me, if I want to take someone for a truly special evening, The Ned is always the place to go.”

“I went with my gf yesterday, and the sushi was absolutely delicious. It had to be the best Sushi I’ve ever tried so far. Interior is decorated nicely and the service was 10/10. Shivani did a great job, I would recommend Chin Chin to anyone who hasn’t been. You have to go at least once in your life.”

The staff were extremely polite, and even though we arrived at the restaurant late, they didn't rush us to leave and provided us with excellent service. This is definitely a place to visit if you're in London. Although we were fortunate enough not to wait in line, I recommend making a reservation.”

“My partner and I were recommended to try this restaurant for my birthday yesterday.(6.8.25 Jamaica independence day. So glad we did! It was a great experience from the moment we walked through the door.The food was AMAZING, great taste, flavour, presentation. BTW my partner is fussy when it comes to food, especially being a fellow Jamaican who can cook, he found no fault and was complimentary from the moment he tasted his starter through to the desert. “I have tried the sushi, wagyu, and the lobster burger, and all of them were great—but the wagyu burger was the best. The service was mixed. The first time I went, there was a tall lady who was so-so, but the next time there was a gentleman who was really friendly and helpful.”

“Wow.....What a fantastic meal! - the offer with First Table is exceptional value for money. We ate like royalty and did not hold back.....nibbles, starters, sushi and mains - everything was simply delicious!! I highly recommend the Tuna Tostadas to start, what an immense way to get your taste buds going - the tuna was so fresh and the lovely hint of heat from the jalapeños.....yum! Other highlights were the Red Prawn Truffle - so light and yet packed with intense flavours and also the Spicy Buttermilk Chicken Karaage - so crispy and juicy. The Black Miso Cod of course was a true delight, with that deep, rich flavour coming throb with each bite - the slight charring on the edges giving a nice texture. If you have room for dessert, the Passionfruit Creme Brulee was stunning, beautifully presented, served with little diced cubes of fruit and tasted sublime. To note, the service was impeccable - our server was friendly, attentive, helpful and genuine. “Very basic but good in all important areas. Clean room with a good mattress, good pillow, good shower, great lighting and temperature controls. So good sleep! Breakfast was decent as well, would have liked sparkling water available. Bacon was delicious. The personnel was super friendly and helpful.”

There is a water dispenser outside where we can fill our bottles, great idea. Silence and sleeping night for middle of Bankside location. Also great tourism attraction within one mile from it, Tate, Shakespeare Theatre, Borough market, George Inn the oldest gallery inn the world. And more…”
