Food was very good if on the small portion side , we had the steak and ale pie . Have been here in the past and it has always been a good experience .”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Asda Chadderton is one of the best supermarkets in the area it’s absolutely huge, which makes shopping really convenient as everything you need is under one roof. The store is well laid out with wide aisles, so it never feels cramped, even at busy times. There’s a brilliant choice of groceries, fresh fruit and veg, bakery, clothing (George), homeware and much more. The prices are always competitive, and there are plenty of offers across all departments. The staff are friendly, helpful and easy to find if you need assistance. Parking is very straightforward with a large car park, and the location just off the M60 makes it easily accessible. There are also useful extra services like the pharmacy, opticians, and petrol station on site, which makes it a real one-stop shop. Overall, Asda Chadderton is a great store for value, variety, and convenience I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the Oldham/Greater Manchester area.”

“I love this place! Emma's a wonderful talent and her flowers are simply beautiful. The little coffee shop is also amazing. You always get a warm welcome and a place to sit, enjoy a friendly chat and put the world to rights over fantastic coffee and delicious cakes. It's definitely one of my favourite places for sure.”

“Had a couple of beers here on a Friday evening. The guest beer was in great condition and the bar staff were really friendly. Plenty of parking next to the pub. Sports were being shown on multiple screens. Would recommend and visit again.”

“For the last four years we have visited Lancaster park and animal farm for Halloween and every year it gets better. The big kid in me particularly loved this year's theme of harry potter. The staff always go to so much effort staying in character and making sure everyone has fun! Lots of animals to see and feed and a large field filled with pumpkins to choose from. Particularly enjoyed the new marshmallow toasting set up! As always an amazing day, reasonably priced, lots to see and do and will definitely be back again next year!”

“What a welcoming pub. A group of us visited after the Oldham vs Woking game on Tuesday night. We were away fans, but made to feel at home straight away! Christine & Jess looked after us so well and we were even bought a round of drinks from one of the locals. We will definitely recommend The Rifle Range and be sure to visit for longer next time. “A spur of the moment decision on a Sunday late Sunday afternoon. A Walk in without a reservation late on Sunday afternoon, the pub was relatively busy and there was a small queue of people waiting to be seated. Whilst guest were being seated, the lady behind the bar could see that we were waiting. She stopped what she was doing, she greeted us with a cherry hello, and confirmed if we had a reservation which we haven’t. She said it was no bother had a table available And it will only take two ticks to wipe down and set up. We both went for the Sunday lunch one roast beef one roast lamb the meals came to the table within 20 minutes and I have to say one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had in years we finished off With one cheesecake and two spoons. The staff here at the Horton were most definitely on their a game when we visited on Sunday. Polite professional and welcoming. We will most definitely be returning to the Horton Arms.”

“Lovely, friendly staff. Great choice of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at really good prices. We hired the function room upstairs for our sons and his friends joint 21st. Good sized room with its own bar, stage and toilets. Lots of seating and a good size dance floor. Highly recommend The Blue Club if you are looking for a function room for any event.”

“Amazing night at the bonfire and fireworks. Well organised and the fireworks were excellent. Food served was tasty especially the Tata ash. One criticism and only a small one as this is a free event, maybe some portaloos next year to increase the capacity for the weak bladdered.”

“Had a lovely stay including dinner and breakfast. Food was great, we had the roast dinner which was fantastic value for money at £13.95 a head. Breakfast had a good selection of hot food at the buffet. My only, very personal, preference would have been to have more egg options as I didn’t fancy the scrambled eggs and there wasn’t any other option but the rest was delicious and plentiful. Lastly, but definitely not least were the friendly, helpful staff who really made us feel welcome and valued. Highly recommend the Boat & Horses hotel too as the rooms are big, well appointed and the beds really, really comfy. Well worth a stop off.”
