“We are Americans visiting Manchester for the holidays. The Didsbury Pub was recommended to us for dinner. We had dinner at The Didsbury Pub on Christmas Eve, and it was fantastic! Steven, our server, looked after us; he did a fantastic job. The Didsbury Pub had a Festive Menu on Christmas Eve and our compliments to the Chef. The food was delicious. The hand carved roast turkey with Yorkshire pudding was awesome. So was the Marmalade Glazed Ham Hock. And the desserts. The apple & blackberry crumble was scrumptious; as was the melting chocolate fondant. The pub is beautiful. The atmosphere was great. One of the best dining experiences in all our travels. Thank you to Steven, the Chef, and all the great people at The Didsbury Pub. I highly recommend everyone visiting Manchester to stop in and enjoy The Didsbury Pub.”

“I Met Kerry on Sunday and Michelle on Monday at the club which is completely different now it is under new management and Kerry seems to be doing a superb job. A great atmosphere considering it was a Sunday evening but lovely like-minded strangers making friends and enjoying each others company. Monday evening was quieter but still a great way to relax after a difficult day. I will be back I will be back”

“We were sceptical about staying at The Hyde venue as we knew it wasn’t as renovated as its local sites such as the Ashton site. Having recently visited to use the swimming facilities we were met by friendly staff so we decided to book an overnight here due to the low costs. Being regulars at sites such as Manchester’s dokota and the midland we naturally had high standards basing our recommendations off google and trip advisor ratings. I can honestly say after meeting Kai and Kiki at the bar they completed our stay. They were so welcoming and genuine honest people who cared to take the time to speak to you despite their clear busy work schedule. Before meeting them the staff were friendly but did the bare minimum. I feel I need to give a special mention to these two individuals because they go above and beyond what is expected and deserve to be recognised by management and higher as they have staff that exceed their pay grade. What they provided was above and beyond what any of the 5* venues we visit in Manchester City centre and we will return on the back of their hospitality alone. I hope this review allows the recognition they deserve, having started my career in hospitality at the age of 15 I know how hard it is to show care and general interest in clients but they do so in an impeccable manner. “We visit Chorley almost every month and love to eat at Hartwood Hall. Our favourite is the filet steak which is always cooked to perfection. All the staff are friendly and helpful. On our latest visit we were served by John and Pippa, always a delightful experience. This is a popular restaurant and yet there is always a parking space and it’s free. You know you can relax and enjoy the gentle atmosphere. In summer there are tables outside, a bit close to the main road for us, so we stay indoors. So are there any problems? Only two as far as I am concerned, they don’t offer blue cheese as a cheese or a sauce and pouring cream is not on the menu either. Despite this we keep coming back for the great food, try the Mac & Cheese as a great side dish, it goes with anything.”
