“If there was an option for 6 stars, this pub would get it. Came here after a walk in the area and walked in to friendly staff and a warm fire. It was a weekday so not so busy we got a table straight away. You think it can't get better. It does. The pie was amazing, mash was amazing and gravy was amazing too. Such lovely food we had to get dessert and that was, as predicted, amazing. Can't wait to come back here again and try the other food on the menu, really exceptionally good pub to come.”

The service was absolutely excellent — Vicky and Josh were both friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived. A big thank you also to the night manager, David, who made sure everything ran smoothly and added a personal touch to the evening. The food was spot on — the scampi was perfectly cooked, the fish and chips were crisp and delicious, and the deserts were absolutely lovely. Everything was fresh, piping hot, and full of flavour. A great atmosphere, great service, and great food — we’ll definitely be coming back soon. Highly recommend!”

“I am from Arizona, but I served a Mormon mission here back in 1980 and this was the one place that had the best burgers in the world better than any that I have in America. And so literally I’ve been coming back for 43 years to this same place and same location. Their hamburgers and onion rings are second to none. And the lady that’s been serving us has been there 27 years, that’s crazy. When we bring my kids over and grandkids this is their favorite stop, we purchase takeout and then we walk across the street to the picnic tables and enjoy the best burgers around.”

“I always come here with my family to have carvery. Not only because the food is delicious, but they also have a small playground inside. Today I was served by a woman named Bon, she was wonderful, she was very patient and kind. We will keep coming back.”

“Visited on a Sunday evening, place was quiet, large selection of drinks (deals on shots) place was clean and modern, good atmosphere. Staff were excellent, friendly and welcoming, would I visit here again, absolutely.”

“This is our 2nd visit here ( we dont live locally) so our visita are far apart. The food on both occasions was delicious. We shared the CAMEMBERT for two, with 4 slices of toasted Ciabatta and red onion relish. Extremely tasty. I had the Lentil Cottage pie with vegetables. Really tasty. Hunters chicken was very tasty too. We ate outside. Then went inside for a coffee and to investigate this lovely old house. I read and looked at the photographs on the walls and found out it had belonged to The Boddington Family. Staff were lovely. Very helpful and friendly.”

“The most wonderful shopping weekend I think it's possible to have. Beautiful pastries and fresh bread, a deli counter just how they used to be and a fantastic restaurant with great food and even better service. Why can't all supermarkets be like this?”

“Their woodoven fired pizzas and true italian flavored pizzas are delicious. Special shoutout to the ‘save the bees’ pizza with pepperoni, Parmesan and some tasty honey. Simple but tasty, as pizza should be tasting.”

“My friends treat me a birthday lunch and 3 of us are very satisfied with the beautiful environment, fantastic service and delicious food with amazing decoration. We like the mini fireworks :) We want to thank staff Jack, he is very cheerful and with smile all the time. He serves us very well. Thank you for the surprise birthday dessert. “We've recently moved into the area and decided to give this takeaway a try. Absolutely beautiful food, generous size portions, authentic and delicious. The standard is restaurant quality at takeaway prices. In fact, better than some Chinese restaurants I've been to! Love the Szechuan Aubergine!! The owners are lovely, humble and friendly. Highly recommend this family takeaway. You won't be disappointed.”

“I've been here twice, absolutely amazing food both times. The first time I got the Turkish eggs which were amazingly delicious with nice soft bread served alongside. The second time I got a lunch dish, the black garlic gnocchi with artichokes. It was absolutely delicious. I hadn't expected that much flavour from a vegetarian dish but it was mind-blowing from the first bite. Chef Emily and Chef Danny are geniuses in the kitchen, I've never had food so good before! Service was brilliant, my server Grace was so friendly and I didn't have to wait for a seat either time. The restaurant is quite busy because the food is so good, but if you do have to wait it's well worth it. I'll definitely be back for more, the food was worth every penny.”

“Very impressed. Visited on a Sunday and took advantage of the 'Sunday Offer' menu which is £15.95 for two courses. Considering the size and quality of the meals this really is fantastic value. All food was excellent. Special mention to the girls waiting on, who were friendly and efficient. Will definitely return.”

“Thee staff were warm and attentive, making us feel welcome from the start. The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were more than generous. We had both starters and mains, and honestly, we were too full to even consider dessert. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but the quality and experience made it well worth it. “Really lovely pub with a restaurant feel in the main dining area, and a super dog-friendly dining experience in the Garden Room. Our server, Charlotte, was very friendly and attentive. Really appreciated the card on our table, wishing our Mum a happy birthday, along with a complimentary drink. Only downside was the dreadful smell from drains in the ladies. Will definitely return.”

“Just back from a lovely themed night at Aspire Restaurant at Traffordd College - fabulous value and great food. Really good prices for quality drinks too. We had a 3 course meal with additional appetisers on arrival and coffee with a sweet treat at the end and 2 alcoholic drinks each including their fabulous award winning Rhubard Gin Cocktail (delicious) All in it came to £50.20 for the 2 of us plus of course we left service on top of that. So pleased to have revisited and looking forward to more meals there going forwards. Well done Aspire!”

“We came to this branch of costa on Saturday 25th October 2025 ,my son was doing a challenge to run 103km in memory of his friend who died of MND ,we highlighted this area as a rest stop, I felt we needed to praise your staff as they allowed his sports physio to set up her table to work on the team as it was cold and breezy outside, that bit of warmth as well as coffee was very much appreciated Thank you costa staff”
