“I wanted to just leave a thank you for Hammad Shaheen (hotel manager) / anyone else others the who send my lost property back to me when I'd left it behind. This hotel isn't glitz and glam, its price represents what you're getting, we stayed on new years day, 5 people in the group paid on average £43pp, in Manchester you just can't find those prices. As long as we had a bed we were happy. On the other hand in our particular room it had a tv, kettle, iron, etc, it was more than well equipped for the price. I would say if you book this hotel you need to be happy with a 'rough around the edges' sort of hotel experience, don't be expecting what you get or hilton or of the big chains - I've stayed in some fancier places but most of the time I'm out the room, All said and done it got the job done for us, and if you're not spending £££ don't expect some 4 star hotel experience. Price represents what you get. On the other hand if the price is similar to more luxurious bookings and you want that, definitely choose other options.”

“By far the best place I’ve stayed in. Spotless and not your big standard room, decor is nice and bright. We felt secure and wasn’t kept up by thin walls and night owls. Fantastic selection of drinks in the residents bar. Breakfast by Paul set me up for the day. Would recommend this place to anyone.”

“Lively but not noisy, people and pets gather to share food, nearby stalls sell snacks and hot food, and even flowers and fruits coexist with fine wine. I love the atmosphere and space, but unfortunately I just passed by this time.”

“Lovely B&B in the middle of Hadfield. Owner super helpful too! Easy access to local shops, pubs and railway station. Cafe downstairs does an amazing breakfast too!”

“Booked for a hen doo through mojito events for 17 ladies. Given access details well before check in time which was good. All rooms had towels and clean bedding. Lovely rooms and bathrooms. Kitchen area was a bit on the small side but we made do. The roof terrace was lovely, did have a hot tub but unfortunately no chlorine tablets and no chlorine dispenser which wasn't good but was a good hot tub and enjoyed by us. The place was in walking distance to a lot of the city centre. Would def recommend.”

“I came here with my parents. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good. My room was clean and spacious. It was nice and quiet, which makes a difference. Would definitely recommend staying here. I was with a coach party, and everyone said they had enjoyed their stay.”

“Rachel at the Village Hotel is always welcoming and helpful. She’s polite, approachable, and makes sure everything is clean and well looked after. It might only cost £1 to use the facilities, but the way Rachel manages it makes the experience feel much more pleasant and professional. “This was a great place to stay! I was a bit cautious due to some of the reviews, but it was perfect for a night stay before the airport. The receptionist was shy and not talkative but still smiling and checked us in efficiently. Our room was easy to get to, clean, and had some tea and coffee which was lovely. The shared bathroom was also very clean and not often used, so it was great to get a cheap room for value. I would recommend staying here.”

“To be fair only used this address to park car for soccer aid but was allowed to use bathroom to wash and use toilet. Extremely friendly going above and beyond. Thank you for being so kind and caring”

“I am giving this place 5 stars not because it is the Ritz but because for the money it was 5 star. Good sized room with everything you need. Large car park. Friendly owners. The breakfast room has been tastefully refurbished and the breakfast was a beautifully cooked clean plate of food. Cereals and grapefruit etc also available. Good quality coffee. All for £46 for a double room. Fantastic value and very close to town.. Highly recommended.”

“Yea I stayed here for nearly 8 months from July 2019 to March 2020 and you what it my by far the best place i stayed at i absolutely loved my time there i stayed in room 8 which the best room in the hotel and the only one with a massive TV on the AND SAFE WAS A LIVERPOOL FAN JUST LIKE ME when I was homeless i stayed in hotels all over Manchester AND THE HAWTHORNS HOTEL WAS BY FAR THE BEST I MISS MY TIME THERE X”

It was warm enough for me and comfortable, peaceful and a short walk to the train station. Excellent value for money, half the price of the Travelodge down the road. Michael made me feel so homely and safe the property in itself was warm and homely I’m so glad I got somewhere like this I can’t fault it iv been in shitholes before and whatever people say about here iv been in worse! I honestly liked here and liked the staff so polite! And I would definitely come again aslong as our micheal lets me! Il never forget you and your help and for having me! I was more settled here than I have been anywhere else so thank you so much! I really enjoyed being here.. x”

“Wasn't expecting much following the reviews on here, but make a judgement for yourself as I found the staff and the hotel to be pleasant- some of the guests less so! I stayed for work over a period of a few days, and it's clear that its the same staff every day from reception open till close. Im unsure if they are also the owners but it gives a very 'family run' style feel that is comforting. After my first night, I was asked how I was coping with the warm weather and to be sure to ask if I needed anything. I was also periodically asked how the room was, and felt extremely safe as a female travelling solo. The hotel is on a main road, but is neighbouring a nice residential area and a church, which gives it a peaceful feel. The amenities in the room are fantastic, the fridge and microwave honestly looked brand new. I'll be honest in that I brought antibacterial wipes to clean the sides following some reviews, but the wipes were as clean as they were fresh out of the packet after wiping down all the surfaces. While the room itself is a tad dated, it has more character than your standard travelodge! Honestly a great hotel with pleasant staff. Can't fault it and honestly wish I was working in the area again to return!”

“We stayed here as we were going to the AO arena. We walked to the arena and got a taxi back. Tha taxi was £6.40. The room was airy and clean. We had a problem with the TV and the gentleman went above and beyond to try and sort it for us. I have no hesitation in recommending it to others. We will certainly be staying next time were in Manchester.”

“I enjoyed my stay here! The owner was a delight. She helped me with my bags as I was struggling a bit with my 2 children and I had an early check in. The rooms are better suited for a couple or days single person. Not necessarily ideal for a family as spaces are bit small ( in the rooms I stayed, not sure about the others, please ask about bigger rooms for family if you intend to stay here, they might accommodate for bigger families as there are quite a few rooms).”

“I stayed at the Imperial Salford Hotel for three days and overall had a very good experience. The room was comfortable, and the location made it easy to get around. The service was generally good, and the staff were friendly without being over the top. A special thanks goes to T, who made a noticeable difference with their friendliness and helpful attitude. It was truly appreciated and made the stay a bit better. All in all, a place I’m happy to recommend and would consider visiting again.”
