Friendly in Manchester

“Visited 2/2/26. As a Disabled customer and I went on my own Firstly the hotel and restaurant are fully accessible. The entrance has a lift from street level and a button to call staff for assistance to operate the lift. Staff are very accommodating. There's a lift to the basement where the studio bar and lounge is located, it a jazz and singer style bar. Sophia was the most friendly and professional of bar tender The restaurant is a classic American bistro but in a refined and chic way and the food was succulent and favourful. The meat was *chef kiss. I highly recommend this place but male sure you book in advance.”

“Stayed just the one night but you could easily stay here for a few days. The room we had was on the 19th floor so super quiet without any noise from outside. Top quality SMEG appliances. Kettle, toaster, hot plate and microwave plus dishwasher. They also have a laundry department which you can use for longer stays. Lovely bed linen and comfortable bed. Just loved the rain shower which was powerful and as hot as you wanted it to be. Gorgeous bathroom products too. Just a perfect quick overnight but you could base yourself here if you had to work in Manchester for a few days.”

“A relaxed yet elevated dining experience, the team here are definitely focused on delivering not only a fine dining tasting platter but also engaging the customer in the journey of the food and wine. It was such a relaxed experience even though you are literally in the kitchen and watching how they prepare and deliver your food. The food may seem small but the flavour certainly packs a punch and if you really want yo elevate your experience then get the wine pairing and enjoy the delicate and robust flavours that it brings to the dining.”

“Been to collect our baby IRN (waffles) today and she is beautiful. 2 lovely people with lots of knowledge, very friendly and helpful. We are over the moon with the bird and the experience of today. 13/7/25. Thank you both so much and keep up the good work your doing its very much appreciated.”

“The vets were amazing when our beloved old cat Tilly became ill and we had to have him put to sleep. ❤️ They even sent us a card afterwards. We appreciated their consideration and kindness during a very difficult time.”

“Daisie, our fit, never ill 13.5 yr old Bichon Shih Tzu cross, was going off her food and had become very lethargic. She didn't want to jump in or out of the car, which was NOT like her at all. The next day I noticed she wobbled slightly one day after she came down stairs. I thank God I did. I was sure something was wrong, so we took her to our normal vets that day, and they referred us to VetsNow for a CT scan, within 2 hours, which showed a mass on her spleen. As there weren't any others we decided to operate, dispite her age, as she was normal very fit and healthy. Vets Now were wonderful, very kind, understanding, approachable and knowledgeable. NOTHING was to much trouble, all the staff were lovely. We know Daisie was lucky, her operation was curative. Whilst we were at Vets Now we saw just how dedicated they all are to saving your pets life, and how compassionate they are. I would not hesitate to take any of my pets to Vets Now again if their situation was life threatening. Daisie is now well on her way to a full recovery, and we're hoping to have her for a few more years yet. As far as the cost are concerned, yes, it was more expensive and came as a bit of a surprise, but on the flip side they are open 24/7, they are VERY well kitted out and basically just waiting to help your pet.”

“Had a lovely meal here last weekend I'm a fussy eater usually so this place was definitely out of my normality but I was on holiday so said let's give it a go, Had the garlic bread as a starter and went for the Margherita as a main, was pleasantly surprised by how delicious both were! Would absolutely have a look if you're in the area , staff are lovely and very personable”

“Very good. Spicy dipped burgers top class. Every time you order fries they are made fresh which is a nice touch. Pizzas are also excellent. I forgot my change on my first visit and the staff tracked me down on Stockport Road to give me it. There's literally nothing negative I can say about this place.”

“What a place! The location, the decor, the welcome, the staff, the service and of course the food all out of this World. Warm welcome, knowledgeable sommelier who exudes positivity and tells you a fabulous story about the wine, I could listen to him all day. The food is served and explained and is of an exquisite nature. I often don’t even read the ingredients and just try it - and I’m never disappointed. You’d be surprised how small dishes can fill you so much. A fabulous place, and a credit to Simon Wood. We will be back again and again.”

“This is an absolute treat! Instead of being in France due to industrial action, we sought to bring France to us and so glad we did. The food was high quality and in comfortable surroundings. Steak tartare as good as I have ever had (minus the egg yolk, because this in Britain!). A touch on the pricey side, but in this particular case, you do get what you pay for. Very good”

“Lydia was was beautifully hospitable for our late lunch today!! Our food came out quickly, and we were very well taken care of. Definitely a very laid back place for good food where you’re well looked after. I had the caprese salad, and my husband had the chorizo pizza. Both highly recommended!”

Their dedication and great service truly deserve recognition, and honestly, they should both get a raise for the amazing work they do. If you're in the area, this chippy is a must-visit!”

“I have been here from the start. The taste is fabulous. I can vouch for it having eaten in so many so called Kerala restaurants. The only thing missing this time is the squid Masala. I am told that it's on the menu in their Whitefield Sindhoor restaurant. Tandoori chicken was not filled with colour like elsewhere. Definitely recommended.”

“My boyfriend took me here for my birthday dinner and we had the most wonderful evening! Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by the hostess and seated immediately. For starters we had calamari, focaccia and olives - all were delicious! Our mains, the pizza and steak were equally yummy. The highlight of the evening for me was when the waiters brought out a cake and sang happy birthday. “We visited for the first time on Saturday 8th November 2025 and we were served by Simona. She couldn’t have been more attentive. The service provided was excellent and right up there with the food. I had the arancini and the carbonara with sides of tenderstem broccoli and rocket. My partner had the scarpetta and lasagne. We both really enjoyed the food, particularly the dishes I picked. Simona kindly made me aware that the carbonara was traditional and not cooked with cream, which is what I expected but I do know people who have eaten a version of “carbonara” with cream who would definitely appreciate this information for their knowledge and to be aware of what they were ordering. Despite our table being booked for 7pm on a Saturday and the restaurant being very busy, we did not wait long to be served or for our food to come out. It was all well presented and perfectly cooked. I’ve already recommended a number of people to visit since our meal and we will definitely return next time we’re in Manchester.”

“Some of the best ramen I've ever had. Came in here for a last minuet meal before a gig, incredible service and fast food. The pork ramen was smokey and rich with an incredible pull apart pork joint on top. The chicken ramen had a lighter broth to it but full of flavour and morish. Fried chicken was tender and crisp, felt homemade and cozy. The atmosphere was cool and stylish, felt authentic for a small ramen shop, simple but effective. Would absolutely eat here again!”

“Had a wonderful experience this morning. Ruby welcomed me with a smile and suggested an addition to my order which was phenomenal. Carlos brought my full order to my table and made sure I had everything I needed. Catherine bused the dishes from my table when I was finished and ensured I was satisfied with everything. I had a lovely conversation with all three of them after I was finished and left feeling very thankful this was the coffee shop I chose while I was in town for a day. Very personable pleasant experience”

“Probably the best coffee place in Manchester, I go out of my way to get a mocha here. Really good and flavourful coffee that is well priced for central Manchester, nice vibes and place to chill though it is quite small so seating is limited especially if you want a table. Baristas are nice and knowledgeable about all the difference beans as well”
