“I recently had Bury jet wash out to clean and re sand my blocked paved driveway which was full of weeds and looked a mess. They are so easy to deal with and the driveway now looks like new. All the mess it created was cleaned away and they even cleaned up the weeds around my walls on the pavement side.”

I've been taking mine and my wife's cars to them for a couple of years now for MOTs, servicing and the odd repair (suspension springs & exhaust silencer) and I'm always very happy with the service received. I've been recommending them to friends & colleagues. They can be busy for getting booked in but it's because they're good and trustworthy. If they did motorbikes too, I'd be taking that in to them as well.”

“Really helpful customer assistant. Wish I could remember his name. Called in late afternoon Saturday. Items we wanted assistant said had to be ordered; wouldn't arrive until midday Sunday. No good for us as we were leaving the caravan site Sunday morning. Then something came into his mind and he looked on computer and the items were in stock in the Bolton store. Said we could pay and then go off and collect them immediately. Brilliant. Did this. Saved us having to drive much further distance to our local Screwfix when we got home. Many thanks”

“I went to the shop with a good idea of what I wanted to buy. I was given good advice and had a nice chat with the 2 blokes in there. This is the kind of sports shop that every town used to have. You can't beat face to face advice and being able to see and touch what you are buying. They stock a wide range of equipment. Brilliant.”

Once in with the vet for my cat’s appointment, she gave him a full health check and his vaccination. She was caring and very helpful. “The 1st thing I should mention is that I am an absolute OCD freak and as such expected a high standard from a paid for service. I left little 'clues' around my house before leaving for work just to check and I was pleasantly surprised on my return as nothing was missed. I've never met any of the cleaning team as they have a key but when Nicola visited me initially to quote, she immediately struck me as charming, professional and I had no problem whatsoever entrusting her with the job. Excellent value for money. Professional service. A+++++”

“Very highly recommended. This has to be the nicest Indian meal I’ve had in a very long time. Brilliant service from very helpful, friendly staff, it’s also reasonably priced. Piping hot food that is of a high standard. The portions aren’t too big, but enough to be able to enjoy everything we ordered. The garlic naan is so good, as are the curries. Very clean throughout, including the toilets, which I find incredibly important.”

“This was an amazing find. It was a typically rainy Saturday afternoon in Bury and me, my partner and our baby daughter were seeking refuge and a bite to eat. We were greeted with great hospitality and swift service. The baby was hungry so we ordered her something with the drinks. We had calamari and caprese and from the first bite of calamari I knew we had made a great choice. We then shared the mixed fish platter which was absolutely delicious. Best Italian I have been to in a very long time. This place needs to be frequented!”

“Our Children (five and eight) are excited about adding to our family and have discussed a hamster.... My husband and I went to Pets at Home Bury to talk to an expert and discuss possible options and in particular what pet would be best for our family. We spoke to a lovely lady on the till who called over her colleague Maddie. Maddie talked us through options, and explained the nature and requirements of Hamsters, also looked to understand more about us as a family, how old the children are, how much activity we do, how much available time we have to properly look after and love a new pet. This was so impressive as clearly she wanted to ensure she advised us enough to help guide our informed decision whilst also having the welfare of the animal at the heart of the decision which is exactly what any ethical and compassionate pet store should do! She was engaging, extremely knowledgeable, clear and just so so lovely to talk to! We actually since talking to Maddie, believe that Guinea Pigs may be a better option for us, particularly because the are nocturnal and our daughter is still young, her bed time would be Hammy's wake up time! We were introduced to the available Guinea Pigs, shown a variety of housing options, Maddie explained the importance of nutrition, play, chew toys and behaviours to watch out for too as the Guineas get older. We are going to reflect in readiness for a joint family decision with Henry and Lils, but for now are just so grateful for the time Maddie spent with us. Finally, the Store Manager Raf was really encouraging about ensuring Maddie was recognised for her efforts - he was keen to encourage this recognition of his team and in my eyes, this is really good leadership! “I met a friend for a catch up and sat on the couches to the left of reception near the stairs to the gym. It was quiet enough for us to speak and even when a small group of adults sat on the couch behind us, we could speak without raising our voices. It was very comfortable and we were able to get coffee's from the onsite Starbucks and bring them over to our seating. Very friendly staff, suitable for our meeting and pleasant environment.”
