“We was pleasantly overwhelmed by the view when we went inside the restaurant, the fish pond was amazing , greeted by very smartly presented friendly staff. “This is one of our local go-to places and it kept us sane throughout the autumn and spring lockdowns. Great coffee and friendly service, top tunes and now toasties and also booze! What's not to like? The seating is outdoors but some of it is covered and they have blankets for when it's cold. Top marks!”

“Fantastic mechanic company who went above and beyond to fix my car and I would absolutely recommend to others who need their vehicle repairing. Very professional from start to finish. Very friendly and explained what was required and discussed likely costs from the start. “Came Down last week to have 2 tyres fitted and was greeted by a lovely Lady and Gentleman I believe they were called Blanka and Tom. They offered me somewhere to sit and a lovely hot drink whilst I waited for the technician Andre to fit my tyres. Was in and out in less than an hour. Absolutely Brilliant service would highly recommend coming to this autocentre and I will definitely be using them more often in the future. Thank you and what a wonderful Team you guys are.”

“What an absolute gem of a place, huge place filled with all sorts of wonderful bits and pieces. Two floors of excellent quality good sturdy furniture. If you find a piece but its not quite the right colour have a chat with them and they see what they can do to lighten/darken it to suit you. Excellent find lovely place. even lovelier people that run the place (so sorry My memory is shocking when it comes to names) nothing it to much for them. Will be back when me and the other half get our house”

“If you're thinking about getting new furniture I would definitely check out this place first. Very reasonable prices that always reflect the condition of the furniture- of which the condition is usually great. There's also a delivery service which is immensely helpful. I'm not sure if there's a charge for it although I would imagine it's nominal. The cafe upstairs is lovely too. Very reasonably priced and a great selection of drinks and food. The choices range from snacks and cakes through to meals so there's something to satisfy whatever mood you're in. All raising money for such a great place in the hospice too.”

“Faultless from start to finish. I went to the Stockport showroom and Matt greeted me, he was friendly and helpful. I ordered on 22.04.25 and my sofa bed and kitchen dining were delivered on 25.04.25. Other shops have waiting times of 6-11 weeks. Had I not ordered my beds already I would have got them from here. Delivery guys Darren and Connor were great too! very happy customer”

“I ordered a wall clock airplane Clock for my wife. It was on offer and we had seen similar at other vendors for quite a lot more so we were pleased with the price but worried about buying online. We needn't have worried olive and Sage communicated very well their intentions to deliver and delivered before I expected, communicating all the time. Great product, great service, and very happy.”

The dishes were very tasty and mild spicy, and the portions were generous – you’ll need three or four plates per person to fill up. The prices were reasonable, and we paid £60 for two people. “I visited Costa Gatley Sunday afternoon — a clean, well-maintained store with a cosy atmosphere and a good selection of food options. However, what stood out during my visit was an interaction at the till that left me quite surprised, and not in a good way. When I ordered a medium hot drink, the young girl serving me actively discouraged the choice. She suggested I go for a smaller size, saying: “There’s not much difference in size — go for the small and save some pennies.” As someone who has run a business for over a decade, I found this quite concerning. In most places, staff are trained to upsell — encouraging customers to consider larger sizes or additional items, which is standard practice in retail and hospitality. Her approach, while possibly well-intentioned, directly goes against basic principles of sales and revenue generation. Encouraging customers to spend less, especially unprompted, may seem kind, but it’s ultimately damaging to the business. In my view, this isn’t just unprofessional — it’s a risk to the long-term health of the store. Costa may want to consider reviewing training procedures to ensure staff understand the balance between customer service and commercial awareness. Thank you”
