“This was our first time using Ellen Smith Coach Company and I have to say they were 5 star. From the punctual pick up at our home to the return journey everything was first class. Our driver Yvonne was wonderful and went out of her way to ensure everything was perfect for us. She was a careful and skilled driver. Despite us sitting at the back of the coach the journey was so smooth and you hardly knew you were moving. This was down to her excellent driving skills. The hotel The Royal York and Faulkner was also first class and this was obvious from the extremely efficient and quick way we were all checked in. This hotel prides itself in dedication and attention to detail to ensure that an atmosphere of relaxation and friendliness pervades. The hotel enjoys an unrivalled position on the sea front at Sidmouth and minutes walk from the beautiful town centre. What a superb holiday. Definitely will be returning with Ellen Smith. “Impressed with the layout & especially the interactivity for children. Although this is a great piece of history. It is also a great day out with river walks, canal walks, boat rides countryside & woodland walks. Large carpark. Easy access even for a motorhome (well upto 7m any way) sadly no overnight parking to extend your stay to enjoy the nearby pubs. Definitely worth a visit and next time we'll bring the grandkids.”

“My family visited to celebrate both my mother’s and daughter’s birthdays yesterday. We chose the early evening menu and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. What really stood out to us was the fantastic service from our waiter Thomas. He was patient, accommodating and attentive. His colleague Kelsey was also friendly and warm. I don’t usually write reviews but the staff here are fantastic. Small touches like bringing colouring pencils for my daughter and sincere interactions with us made the place feel very welcoming. The food itself was excellent but the staff set a standard that many other restaurants could learn from. We will definitely return!”

He had the table set up beautifully and was there every step of the way, making sure Liam and his friends were happy, excited, and truly enjoying themselves. The kids absolutely adored him — and the other parents were just as impressed by his kindness and care. “I had my wedding here last weekend and it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!!!! The day was everything we hoped for and so so much more, and so much of that is down to the freedom the venue gave us to do things exactly how we wanted and the BRILLIANT staff!!!! “A quiet little place to chill and relax. Just over the canal from Canal Street. It's the home of the Tree of Life and the Beacon of Hope memorials dedicated to those who have lost to their lives to AIDS. It's also the home of the Alan Turing memorial. This is a lovely place to visit during the day but, as I've been told, it can be a little bit different at night as there is very little lighting.”

“This hotel it great! Really close to shops and amenities and very clean and nicely done up. The only negative is having no hot drinks facilities in the room... and only being able to get a hot drink by visiting the restaurant downstairs :( A very special mention to staff member Lee who went out of her way to bring my food order to my room for me on the first day of my stay! Exceptional customer service which I hope will be rewarded when her superiors read this :)”

“I recently completed a one-year stay at Broadside, and I am beyond impressed with the incredible team that made my experience memorable. From the friendly leasing office staff to the efficient maintenance team, every interaction was positive and professional. The entire concierge team, of Monika, Precious, Jon and I'm forgetting the name of the other bloke (sorry), were also part reason why I extended by contract by 6 more months. They were just amazing at their work and exceptionally good with people. The management team of Jenna and Zvi were quite professional and helpful in every manner. The amenities, social events, convenience, and location in the city were top-notch, and the overall atmosphere made Broadside feel like home. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay truly amazing. I highly recommend Broadside to anyone looking for a fantastic place to live!”

“I Honestly had a wonderful time. Prices were pretty transparent; 10 quid to enter, 10 quid for basic dance, 20 quid for a topless dance & 50 quid for a full nude 15 min dance. I'm from Toronto and not Manchester but the rules are a bit different for strip clubs in the UK. For example there isn't any touching allowed. This made my dance feel pretty awkward since I'm not used to that rule. You also have to pay before you get your dance. This is pretty good since I know i wont get overcharged for the dance. Getting overcharged is common in Toronto. Dancers also make a weird sound when they finish a private dance with you. I find this kind of funny. The dancers are also great at having a conversation. Overall this place is a pretty good vibe if you're bored with nothing to do”

“I went here with my family as I was intrigued with the layout. Fortunately it was only us as the space is small and intimate. I liked the cushion seating which gave the atmosphere a Middle Eastern vibe. When the food came I was pleasantly surprised with how filling the Arab Breakfast was; it was just right not too bloated and overly full. The hummus, bread, falafel were all very tasty, freshly made, moist and fluffy. We shared the Tiramisu and it was divine ! ♥️”
