“My prostate problems arose following a relatively routine eye operation; basically, after the operation, I found I could not urinate. A catheter was fitted and there followed nearly five months under the care of a local NHS hospital with visits to A and E, UTIs, large amounts of blood in the urine, extreme pain, soreness, and such like. At one point I was hospitalised for eight days and an emergency operation was performed to cauterise bleeds from the prostate. Quality of life suffered. Day-to-day tasks became a trial, visits were curtailed and holidays cancelled. Finally, I was referred for a HoLEP procedure under the NHS but, because of the long waiting time and the loss of quality of life I opted for the operation to be performed at Spire Manchester by Mr Matthew Liew. The operation was performed within a few weeks from initial consultation. At that initial consultation, the procedure was thoroughly explained and all my questions answered. I was extremely satisfied with the treatment that I received during all my time at Spire Manchester under Mr Liew's care. Post-op, the staff were kind, attentive and supportive. They explained how the operation had gone and what to expect in the coming days and weeks. My recovery so far has followed what was outlined; blood in the urine ceased after about ten days and incontinence has diminished week by week and although still present it has only been six weeks since the operation; it is manageable and much improved since the early weeks. What has changed is my general quality of life. As my wife said, it's given us our lives back since we must be aware of the impact that this has not just on ourselves but on friends and loved-ones too. We are extremely grateful for everything that Mr Liew and the other staff have done for us and we would highly recommend this route to anyone. “I visited Moston Dental Surgery in August, as I required an emergency appointment for a root canal. My local dentists in South Manc were unable to accommodate an emergency appointment. I spoke with the receptionist at Moston Dental Surgery and explained that the pain was absolute torture, and she kindly booked an appoitment for 11.30am on the day. I was greeted by the principle dentist Dr Muhammed AbdulHussain who assured me that he would alleviate the pain with a temporary procedure. He was friendly, personable and affable. The matter was soon resolved. I was pleasantly surprised that the cost was extremely reasonable, in comparison to the prices in Didsbury. The key factor was that there was no compromise on the quality of service or procedure. As a matter of fact it was of a very high standard and I would highly recommend that you consider this practice going forward. I have since visited on a few occasions to have a dental hygiene and a couple of fillings. I am currently undergoing a full root canal procedure. “Was given a voucher for here as a gift. I had a full body, deep tissue massage with Carmen. Carmen used various techniques to relieve my tension and aches. I like a firm massage and Carmen certainly did that. She did check the pressure was O.K. I have a bad lower back and Carmen did lots to help relieve this. My shoulders were also very tense and Carmen worked her magic. It definitely was a deep tissue massage. I felt great. Afterwards Carmen talked to me about my body and the parts she worked on.
