“Wonderful experience getting my son's first shoes. The lady who runs the shop takes time to get the fitting right, and shoes still going after 3 months of heavy use. Definitely recommend this place, especially for first shoes. The cost is in line with Clark's but the quality is far superior.”

“Best boots, excellent shipping service! The boots arrived 2 days earlier, when I open the box I was so excited to see and touch them, fell so nice ( best quality no doubt ). Unfortunately the right boot, was slightly detached at the top from the sole...(but I think is something unusual and doesn't affect the quality of the attachment; I hope). However, they are perfect like this, I recommend them with confidence ! The photo is taken after the first wear.(extremely comfortable as if I was stepping on a cloud). Edit: I bought a pair for my girlfriend for Christmas and they are actually perfect (without that previous imperfection). She adores them !”

“After several failed attempts to find wedding shoes, I came across Chequers Shoes. They have a great selection, and the sales associate, Claire, was exceedingly patient with me as I tried several different styles and sizes. When I decided on a style, the in-store shoes didn’t fit quite right. Claire proactively ordered in a new pair and kept me posted as to their arrival status. As it happened, the new pair didn’t fit me perfectly either, and the store owner offered to alter the material of the shoes to my size. They really know their stuff and I was very pleased overall with the service!”

“A quaint, family run cobblers nestled just outside Bedford town centre. The staff are friendly, polite and ever so helpful. Thier wares are of the highest calibre, providing classic, timeless shoes, shoe care and good quality repairs with a level of service that is hard to find these days. They are, without reservation, the best store of thier kind for miles around. I have been a patron for many years, as has my father, and I will continue to be for many years to come!”

“Purchased on line after hours and collected the poncho from the Leighton Buzzard shop the following morning. This disruptive patterned and animal outlined patterned poncho is fun and practical to wear in warm but drizzly weather. Pockets in your clothes underneath are accessible owing to handy press studded openings down the side. There’s the handy front pocket which turns into the perfect poncho storage bag with a loop handle. Post purchase my first rain shower gave me a great gleeful excuse to wear my poncho, hood up too; I had to pop to the Leighton Buzzard shop to show it off. I just had to buy two squiggly rings in two hues of blue too, someone positively comments on them every time I wear one.”
