“Been here several times. Tonight we were served by the phenomenal Denisa. She was brilliant! Polite, attentive, good sense of humour and professional! The food as always beautifully presented and absolutely yummy. We brought our friends with us tonight and we were not disappointed! Everyone left happy and full.”

“The food is spectacular. I especially recommend the fish wrap starter and the curried goat main. The cocktails are lovely and good value when 241. They also do a kids menu. The services is very good. We were served by Antony who was very pleasant indeed and he made us feel welcome and relaxed. He spoke to my 3 year old daughter to. Which was nice.”

“Don't know the area at all, walked round looked at a few coffee shops seemed pricey for a brew, and was all prepacked heat up behind the counter jobs. Saw a road worker by his van, asked him if he new any decent places for a fry up, he suggested hitchin lol. As I was walking away he said hang on there a place down there called star.. So ended up in here, very clean, nice and pleasant staff at counter waiting. Food prices on par with similar styled cafes. Good selection, food and tea came out piping hot and fresh. Can't fault anything. Will use again if in the area. Was eating on my own as only in area as motorbike having work done in the area. Felt welcome and didn't feel uncomfortable at all like you can eating in some places when on your tod. Thanks guys”

“A beautiful tea room with a vintage feel. The owners are attentive without being intrusive and the food is beautiful. The afternoon tea does need to be pre-booked as it is all made fresh; the scones were still warm from the oven! Highly recommended and we will definitely be returning.”

“We went to O'Sarrcino for a birthday Sunday lunch and had an amazing time as a party of 8 including 2 children. Our server, Joy, was fantastic, engaging with us in Italian (family member is learning Italian for their holidays) and she was excellent with the children. Service was attentive, but not over the top. Food was excellent, brought out at a good pace. We didn't feel rushed. It's an authentic Italian restaurant, run by Italian staff, with great food and Italian atmosphere. Would highly recommend and it's worth the drive if you're not local!”

“Moved to the area and heard nothing but great things about this place, visited twice now and you simply must try it. It’s hidden away but some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. The customer service is exceptional, the manager is extremely friendly and chatty and provides such a warm, welcoming atmosphere, we have chatted both times and he’s lovely. And the food.. 10/10. The nachos are incredible, mains are huge and absolutely delicious. Great variety and plenty of GF/Vegan options. Don’t miss this place, it’s the full package and such a reasonable price. Great Saturday evening atmosphere too. I will absolutely be going back again and again.”

“Absolutely loved our meal here! Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed everything from start to finish. The prawn toast was hands down one of the best we've had – super crispy and full of flavour. Our curries were delicious, packed with taste and spice, and surprisingly affordable too. Service was friendly and efficient, and we didn’t have to wait long at all. Highly recommend if you’re after tasty Thai food and a chilled, welcoming vibe!”

“Popped in for lunch and had a lovely meal. Highly recommend the mushrooms on toast, and the chips were smashing. Slight problem with the battered fish, but the staff were very apologetic, and happy to put things right :) nice touch that the chef also came out to check in with us. P.S. “We went to the Rose and Crown at Hartwell this past Friday... we've been meaning to visit here for a while. So glad we did and sorry we have not been sooner! The food, service and atmosphere was brilliant. They have a great team who are really friendly, helpful and customer focused. The menu was varied and caters for all tastes. I chose the brie and mushroom crostini as a starter - it was superb! The mains were great - I opted for fish and chips and it didn't disappoint. My wife had one of the specials... the honey chilli salmon and rice with pak choi. Again, delicious! We finished off with the amazing cheese platter - it had us beat! A really generous sharer with enough for a to-go box! All round, really excellent value for a delicious meal out. This little gem is just 2 miles from Hanslope. Give it a go and support our local businesses 100% recommended!”

“Came here tonight for the first time with my partner. Initially, the queue was long and we figured we’d be there for a good while. However, they were adequately staffed meaning the queue moved quickly. we ordered large chips, two jumbo sausage and curry sauce. It was superb! Chips were fresh and arguably some of the best chippy chips I’ve had. Sausage was also good. Curry sauce had a nice sweetness to it but I think the pot could have been a bit bigger. Will be returning again, thank you :).”

“Went to Cibo on Newnham Street many times before and always had amazing service and subs so was a bit sad when it closed. Went to the new location a few weeks ago and although the vibe is different the subs are still incredible. The food was delicious, massive portions and always the best quality ingredients are used. The staff are always smiley and friendly so will be going back again.”

My pizza and tira misu were gorgeous, but I was a little underwhelmed by my prawn starter otherwise I would have scored 5 stars. My wife and I had starters, mains, shared a dessert and I had 2 drinks and it came to just over £60 so really good value in my opinion Definitely worth a visit”

“Alacati Grill is the best restaurant in town hands down. The food is always freshly made. I had the kebab yoghurt and the wifey had the chicken wings. Both of them are very good. They have a menu for children and that is also fresh, not frozen and then microwaved. The place has a lovely atmosphere. Plenty of wine or cocktails to choose from. My go to place when friends are in town.”

“We come from Northampton to this little place and it's always worth the drive. The staff are always friendly, sandwiches freshly made to order and more importantly, they taste amazing! So many things to choose from, and they always have new specials on. Sandwiches have plenty of filling, and they will happily add more if you ask them to. The shop is clean, welcoming and the menu is well displayed and prices are more than reasonable. We look forward to our next sandwich from them!!”

Despite not knowing about its existence until a friend's recommendation, I'm so glad I discovered it. The entire menu is vegan-friendly, catering perfectly to our party's dietary preferences.
