“Had a lovely meal at the shoulder of mutton. It is beautiful decorated and the service was so nice and friendly. Food was excellent, very well presented and had delicious flavours. The winter menu was really creative - we'll be back soon to try more off it! Would highly recommend”

“Went for dinner on a Wednesday evening the gentleman that served us was incredible very polite and friendly.The food was amazing we got the hot mezze for starter and then got the platter for two. The portions were good we even had to take some home.Would recommend this place to family and friends and would definitely go back again.Thank you for a lovely evening.”

“This was my second visit to the Navigation Inn and as I don’t live local to it we made a special journey. A very lively setting right on the canal. Went for Sunday lunch, the place was packed and weather was wonderful Staff very friendly and attentive. Food served quickly and efficiently, I had lovely veggie roast, crispy roast potatoes, roasted carrots and green beans. Veg not over cooked and all piping hot. This was topped by a huge Yorkshire pudding, perfectly cooked. Holly was lovely and really attentive and made our visit pleasant once again.Looking forward to visiting next time!”

“We had a 40th birthday party here and it was fantastic. Hannah was amazing so helpful and friendly when booking and planning everything. Although we were booked outside on the day it was raining so she moved us inside and was super reassuring. The staff were great there (Brooke in particular looked after us) she was wonderful and helpful. The food was really good aswell!!! I will absolutely be using halleys commet in future for any parties we do.”

“Nice pub. Has some tables on the front and a big open space on the back for casual drinks or dinner. The inside restaurant is nicely decorated. They allow dogs in the garden as we saw few locals coming in with theirs. Food was very nice and we were served a very decent portion. We order gnocchi with prawns and pork belly with potatoes. Staff was very friendly. A little expensive, but is worth it. Will come back.”

“A wonderful place to stay if you are in Stony Stratford! The hotel carries its own history within the town, and the people are incredibly welcoming and lovely. I initially booked for two nights but ended up extending my stay with zero hassle. The pub is an experience in itsel, you’ll meet friendly locals who welcome you with open arms and great conversations. The food is also fantastic, delicious, hearty, and filling. Such a charming place full of great people. Definitely a must-visit if you’re ever in town! ☺️”

“The chicken waffle breakfast was absolutely spot on. The waffles were light and perfectly crisp, the chicken was tender with a brilliant coating, and the balance of sweet and savoury was just right. Every bite was full of flavour, and it felt like proper comfort food done really well. The staff were amazing too — friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. A brilliant way to start the day, and I’d happily order it again”

“What a fantastic find! Had such a pleasant evening here. Service was outstanding but the food was even better. The mixed shawarma plate was one of the tastiest I've ever had. Moved to the shisha bit after and got some shisha and tea. The shisha flavours were delicious and such a reasonable price for a single shisha (£13!) Tea was well brewed. Really just a great overall experience, no negatives. Great size venue, perfect for families. Thanks to the restaurant and team! Can't wait to come back”

“This is my local pub and it is very welcoming, great bar staff and great atmosphere all round. Shout out to Ellie and Ellis they are great also!unfortunately I forgot the other member of staffs name but he looks like Jack Sparrow he’s great too! I’ve been going to this pub all summer and one thing I love now is now it’s getting worse weather they have this lovely smoking area with a good heater, also have another really good staff member that work behind the bar Elizabeth is very approachable and friendly, I think I’m a known regular because me and my brothers pints are poured before I even get to the bar!”

“Great Pub. We initially decided to go because they are dog friendly and that was it. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed the staff are all lovely. Car parking is great, all areas of the inn are clean, bright and comfortable. We went here for New Years Eve and had a great night. The teamwork is fantastic and organised. We didn’t expect much of the food for New Year’s Eve with it just being burgers, scampi chips etc but the burgers were delicious, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. Despite not being our nearest pub it is now our new local and well worth the 30 minute walk. The staff and atmosphere make this place. Well done for putting on a great night.”

“Had a fantastic weekend at The Bell for our annual family meet up. The staff were fantastic and worked so hard to ensure our party of 12 were looked after in the bar, at dinner and breakfast. A great place to stay and eat in the a lovely Bedfordshire village.”

“I’ve been using Shenley Church End Leisure Centre for 20+. Excellent customer service, plenty of facilities and great football pitch (perfect size for 7 a side with very competitive pricing). However, the centre is a bit dated. Shout to Mo on reception. She’s brilliant!”

“I took me parents for Sunday lunch at the Malsters Arms. It was a really pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. They allowed dogs which was perfect as we had 4 little dogs with us. The food was excellent. It was cooked how we asked. The desert was incredible and good value for money. The service was fun and entertaining and everyone friendly. We had such a lovely time and plan to return again soon.”

“We came to the Ship Shore today for a Christmas meal and had a wonderful experience. We were served by Christine and Tania, and the customer service was outstanding. They regularly checked that our meals were okay and made sure we had everything we needed. The Christmas meal was absolutely delicious, and there was a great, lively atmosphere throughout our visit. We always enjoy coming here and would highly recommend it.”

“I recently visited a Greene King pub and ordered the rather large crispy chicken sandwich, and I was blown away by how good it was. The chicken was perfectly cooked – crunchy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside – and it came in a generous portion that definitely filled me up. The bun was fresh, the toppings were full of flavour, and everything worked so well together. It’s the kind of pub classic that feels comforting but still made with care. Paired with the sides, it was a really satisfying meal and great value for the price. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, which made the food taste even better. I’d happily recommend Greene King to anyone looking for hearty, tasty food in a friendly setting – and I’ll definitely be coming back for that chicken sandwich again!”
