“Lovely atmosphere. Staff were really friendly. Great food and cakes”
“I went around 2:30pm before my train for work. Great service by the two ladies who served me. Didn’t get their names but the customer service was amazing, which is great to see especially within the hospitality sector. Latte was perfect too.”
“Such a lovely place to visit! There’s convenient parking along the canal, just a short walk to the Heritage Centre. I only stopped for a coffee this time, but the café offers plenty of food and drink options, with both indoor and outdoor seating. There’s lots of interesting history to read about, and the surrounding area is beautiful — perfect for a stroll along the canal. A short walk takes you to Beeston Marina, and a little further on is the stunning Attenborough Nature Reserve. A fantastic spot to spend a few relaxing hours. Definitely worth a visit — you’ll really enjoy your time here!”
“At least 5 stars. Had a wonderful lunch here. Excellent food and desserts. Service exceptional. Decor wonderful and in a cute village. Quintessential!”
“It was a fantastic meal I would definitely go again and I was served by an amazing waitress called mar she was fabulous very attentive she did a great job”
“I have been coming here for years, everything about this restaurant I love. The staff, the atmosphere and food. Was back there Friday as it was my husbands 50th an it was amazing. You dont need to go anywhere else or he entertainment an vibes under 1 roof.”
“Gorgeous food as normal. I cannot recommend the food highly enough. Our server, Emilia (Nottingham), was great - very knowledgeable!”
“Best breakfast ever. I recomend this to anyone for the first time in Nottingham and looking for where to eat. Nice vegetarian and vegan options. Great matcha late and chai late. Staff is very nice and helpfull. Also, decoration is lovely.”
“Went for lunch. The cafe was busy but managed to get a table for 3 of us. Lovely views infront of the glass floor to ceiling windows of the surrounding area. Prices are quite high, however this outweighed by the quality and selection of the food. I had quiche of the day which came with a plate full off salad and pasta with a door wedge size of quiche. Well worth the money! Good selection of drinks available with a promot service. The selection of cakes are definitely tempting as well. Will definitely pay another visit l.”
“The coffee here was excellent, the atmosphere incredible and the personal touches to customer care were beyond what is required. My partner has a somewhat unconventional name and spotted a bottle of wine with the same name as him. As we were discussing purchasing said wine the owner came over and delivered it to us, which was beyond anything necessary for a coffee house to do. We were absolutely blown away by the hospitality and will definitely be coming back here. You've won yourselves customers for life!”
“Great sos and tom doorstep. Spotlessly clean as well. Unfortunately the lady that clears the tables has an unbelievably foul mouth and the way she speaks to customers isn't right.”
“I am from down the south I am delighted this cafe has reopened . Let me tell all this young lady and her team serve the best ever bunch . I be back when I am up Notts again Visiting my friends . This place is the best ever .”
“This is a hidden gem, and Tony is an even bigger gem. Our breakfast was lovely!”
“Nice place to have a coffee and breakfast. Big portion of food!! The waffle and egg Benedict are good. Friendly staff.”
“The flavor was completely new to me and truly exceptional – I’ll definitely be coming back for this dish. I usually don’t prefer banana in desserts, but I decided to take a risk and it turned out to be the best decision. The taste is so delicious and perfectly balanced. They were also very generous with the portion; I think this plate can easily be shared by 2–3 people. As for the coffee, I recommend ordering it hot – Americanos usually taste much better hot than iced. Thank you!”
“Nottingham's got some amazing pizza places and this is certainly up there with the best of them! We popped in on a Friday afternoon, got a table outside in the sunshine and ordered what turned out to be a huuuge Detroit style pizza and 2 pints of Deya Steady Rolling Man. Service was very personable and very fast and before we knew it, we were drinking our beer and tucking into our pie. First bite was heaven. The sauce was packed with flavour and the seasoning was perfectly balanced. The crust had crispy melted cheese all round it which was gorgeous. We couldn't finish it in the end so the waiter offered to box it up for us. The beer was well kept and there was a big selection. Always a fan of Deya though. 10% gratuity was automatically added to the bill. I'm generally not a fan of this growing trend. I do generally tip 10% anyway but I like that to be my choice. Overall, I'll definitely be going back to Slice 'n' Brew (my kids wouldn't forgive me if I didn't take them at some point). Amazing pizza and craft beer in a great location. Keep it up!!”
“The food is so delicious, all made fresh and extremely good prices. it’s so hard to decide what to choose because they’re all so good, i end up getting food for the whole day. The staff are so friendly, the portions are big and good value and it’s probably the best classic non-fancy breakfast in Nottingham”
“Without doubt one of the best restaurants in town, the ramen is always superb. Full of flavours and textures, it’s cozy and a very good place to have a confort food. The radish cake is surprisingly good. Better if you book a reservation before visiting”
“Bloody lovely...and thats just the staff!! food lovely always tasty fast service..but one of them lads is aint half cheeky!!! hahahahaha”
“Lovely experience for a first time visit, food was yummy, staff friendly”
“Great little Cafe, Great Food and Service”
“A wonderful Coffee Shop, right by the Garden Center. Welcoming, and warm staff. Great selection of food, and wonderful cakes to choose from! Highly recommended!”
“Our first visit to the Forge Mill was really interesting. A historic, grade II listed building. Great staff, good food with portions so big that my wife couldn't finish hers.”
“Can't fault the food or service. The pricing is significantly lower than some of the other venues in the surrounding villages. £23 for a Cheddar Ploughman's platter, Chilli & Rice, and two teas. I feel this would be pushing £30 elsewhere. It's all good.”
“What can I say other than Kalimera is a little oasis of Greek Cypriot delicacies in Nottingham. Mixing British and Mediterranean foods on the same menu is so clever! My son and I had to try the Greek breakfast, so tasty - I recommend it as an alternative to the traditional English breakfast! The Greek sausages are brilliant! Came back the next morning to collect Galaktoboureko sweet desert- specially made so I could take some back to Wales for my Cypriot family! It was delicious! Picked up some Pastitsio and feta/spinach pie. Nottingham is so lucky to have Kalimera on your doorstep! Perfect food and friendly owners!”

“Had a great visit last week! My wife and I drove an hour from Doncaster, and it was well worth the trip. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was really welcoming. We’ll definitely be coming back again soon.”
“Absolutely lightning service with the most respect ever seen in my life. The caramel latte was lush and chris was incredibly polite and recommended it to me. Everything 5 stars. The only thing i would recommend is lowering the prices. Just like elf. The world's best cup of coffee”
“The staff were very helpful and polite. We enjoyed our drinks and cake, we will visit again!”
