“Love this cinema anyway but the Polar Express was magical! We will be taking our grandchildren along every year!”
“First time at Duchess Theatre and I'm impressed. Hot drinks were available and a bar. Air conditioning was very much appreciated. Will definitely go again.”
“I loved my visit to see Kinky Boots at the Theatre.. my 1st visit in over 20 years. I was so chuffed to get a wheelchair seat and one where my sister (carer) could be with me too. She helped me and made sure I was okay everywhere. The view from accessible seating is a touch restricted as it's under the dress circle at the back of the stalls (any action high up is hard to see but as most happens at stage level.. all was good and I loved the show. It's got to be good views as its at the side of the lighting desk and they need to see too! See my video for your view.”
“Like many people on these reviews ive been coming to the savoy since I was a kid. Spent many birthdays here and always love coming back when I come to Nottingham. Screen 1 is a piece of cinema history - nearly 100 years old. The other screens are modern and match any multiplex. Reasonably priced and very special - beloved by people in Nottingham for a reason.”
“The theatre is very well organised and the service is very friendly. They have very interesting shows and not only cinema, if not ballet perfomances, music and theatre. They are always bringing new shows, and interesting performances from the most popular til independent productions.”
“A great cinema which has a good mix of new films and old favourites showing. They have comfortable chairs and nice, clean rooms. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the food and drink is decently priced. Lots of vegan/vegetarian options for pick and mix too!”
“Just had a beautiful Sunday roast here, all home cooked.. Nice atmosphere too.. A real traditional pub as they used to be, highly recommend it.”
“I have just attended Day 1 of the Analogue Spotlight Event at Nonsuch Studios. I enjoyed all the stalls and workshops laid on. My only gripe is that the toilets became unusable during the afternoon meaning that 50-60 people had to share one loo! I'm going to Day 2 tomorrow, I hope the loos are mended!!!! Dr Robert Edwards (Ted)”
“We have used Andy at Trusted Technology several times over the past 36 months for TV installation following advice from Richer Sounds. On all occasions they have given excellent service regardless of who carries out the work. Always a pleasure to deal with”
“This is a great cinema. 5 screens, great projection, great sound, comfy seats, good value and right next to a multi storey carpark.”
“Came in for a coffee and a bite to eat after a long walk along the canal, then went browsing throughout the whole shop. It's a place you could spend all day just looking at all the items for sale in there. It's a big treasure trove.”
“What an awesome place, it doesn't look much from the outside, but it has lots of character and charm from the inside, the seats could definitely do with a refurb, the price of the tickets was HALF THE PRICE of the regular cinemas, I will be using this place from now on, considering that the big boys are at least £15 per ticket, even the popcorn is reasonably priced.”
“Great provincial theatre puts on some super performances. Has a very nice "feel" about the place - very well worth supporting”
“My daughter has been attending Tracy Quaife for over 8 years, she is so happy here and has learnt so much. Tracy is excellent with the children and very professional. The shows they put on are wonderful! This is an excellent dance school with lots of opportunities.”
“I have no experience here, but my daughter recommends it highly.”
“My son has been with Flying High for 5 years now. He loves it and has made some great friends there! The yearly drama showcase at The Bonnington theatre is an amazing experience for all the groups to perform on a stage.”
“This cinema is a hidden gem of a place. Lovely staff and great location in the heart of Nottingham with a well chosen selection of unique films that challenge our thoughts on important issues such as the Environment”
“My daughter loves it, in her words it's amazing :)”
“Great experience. Venue top notch!”
“Funky Studios is the PERFECT place to become ready for the performing arts industry. No matter your age or level of experience, the high quality of training and immense respect from the caring staff is the same. As someone who’s been training at Funky for almost a year now, I feel so grateful for the wonderful opportunities provided to us as well as the amazing friends that I have been able to make whilst preparing myself for drama school auditions”
“The CAT cinema is a fabulous asset to the community.Good variety of films. The quiz is great fun.Michael, who runs it, is charming and creates a friendly welcoming atmosphere.”
“We booked lessons with Sam for our first dance to avoid the dreaded shuffle and it was the best decision we have ever made. Neither of us could dance and on top of that had chosen an unusual song setting Sam quite the challenge. I hate being the centre of attention so the first dance was a moment I had dreaded but being able to focus on the choreography and my partner allowed everyone else really melt away. I never thought I would enjoy our first dance but thanks to Sam I can say I truly did. We were so focused on each other we didn't even notice the photographer on the dance floor. I would highly recommend Sam she made us feel so comfortable and gave us so much confidence we couldn't have asked for a better teacher.”
“What a tour de force 'Impotance' was! This University theatre goes from Strength to Strength! They do need to update their website about parking at weekends though....”
“Their production of Kinky boots was amazing- 10/10”
“Met a lovely friend for coffee. Was a great place”
“Great tasting food, big portions and excellent value for money. I got the Rotana special thinking its for 2 ppl but can easily be enough for three. My favourite was the grilled lamb. Chicken wss really food. Salads, soup as starters are complimentary. Will definitely visit again”
“Went to see a film, afterwards a friend said ' you must try the meat tacos'. We did, she was right, they were outstanding! Cafe was packed but service was quick. Can't wait till the next time.”
“This theatre is part of the Djanogly City Academy. We visited as part of a week long dance competition festival our daughter was competing in during the school holidays (it is not organised by Djanogly City Academy). The theatre has a tiered auditorium seating 300 people including a few wheelchair spaces on the back row accessed via a lift. The stage area is a good size and on ground floor level. There are toilets in the ground floor foyer (ladies, gents, disabled). I didn't go backstage so won't comment on that. The dancers had access to rooms on the other side of the courtyard which were used as changing rooms and a food serving area. There is a small car park on site. This is a good theatre facility which we've visited and enjoyed several times. We'll be back.”
“Lovely experience in a nice clean cinema. Air conditioning a little too cool. Seats really comfortable with plenty of leg room. Staff friendly & helpful.”
“Great little theatre giving professional performances.”
