“Lovely place off the beaten track. The baked potatoes were great and such good value. Nice decaf coffee. Spacious outside seating area but, smaller space inside. Not busy on a cooler day. Service was good and friendly staff.”

“We visited prior to a matinee performance at Theatre Royal. The decor was beautiful, the staff all very attentive. Sebastian was our waiter and was fab, full of smiles and very helpful. The food was extremely good, we had the 2 course for £25 and 2 from the group had a main off of the main menu, all of it delicious and made to a high standard. Followed by a desert. On leaving the heavens opened and one of the staff (we didn’t get his name) found us an umbrella to borrow, so kind and helpful. Overall a really good experience and would absolutely recommend and will definitely return.”

“Lovely cafe for cake and coffee. Coffee and Decafe tea good. The Millionaires short bread was excellent, we rated it 9 out of 10. (Point deducted due to size). Good selection of cakes. Clean and tidy, clean toilets. Free shared parking right outside. Depending on the time of day can be a little difficult finding a space.”

“A great pub recently under new management..the new landlord and landlady have turned it around and in my opinion they are really doing a great job..the whole place is clean and tidy. they are doing lots of things to get the punters involved..its smashing to see our local back on it's feet..”

The bar staff are very respectful, and the bouncer (foggy) is a lovely person. Always been respectful good atmosphere good music, and a very good place to socialize I've been coming this bar since I was 18 it was the first bar I've ever been too and I came out in this bar.”

“It's been a long time since this place was the Old Vic. First time we'd been here as we don't tend to visit this part of town too often. Very nice place indeed ! Pleasant staff, lovely, clean surroundings and a nice atmosphere. We only popped in for a 'swift half' to see what it was like - ended up staying a couple of hours and having fab pizzas there too! 2 for 1 pizzas at that (both have to be the same). Good selection of beers, ales and ciders(try the Berliner Pilsner!) and great food, I could have had 1 of everything! We'll be back, thanks guys!”

“Nice little find tonight whilst staying in Nottingham, reasonably priced for the variety on offer, welcomed with a smile, seated straight away as a walkin, nice to see a chocolate fountain flowing and lovely suprise with the ice cream machine, all the dishes were hot replaced quickly when running low, not salty as some buffets tend to be, value for money.”

“i came across of the freshly prepared french fries and it was a great deal very economical and adding cheese is a plus. as whole a wide range of food is available accessible and a wide space where you can chat and have some food.”

“The food was great with good portion sizes. My daughter and I visited on a Sunday afternoon and had the escovitch fish, prawns, cabbage, sweetcorn, carrots, plantain with rice and peas. Trevor and all of his staff were very welcoming, friendly and provided excellent customer service. We will definitely be returning to eat and 'party' at one of the themed events.
