Massive range of lintels too, the chap at the counter was happy to give me some techinic spec on the pad stones to keep the architect happy, plus I got free pens, every body needs free pens! “Brilliant shop. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good atmosphere. I don't know if they still do it, but you used to be able to buy a bag of floating bird feed to take down to the river nearby, sold in a paper bag for a £1. I highly recommend Homecrafts in Caversham. ***EDIT*** It's still a brilliant shop. Floating bird food is now £2.50 in a paper bag to go feed the river or pond birds. You can buy a sack for £8. There's a good selection of bird food towards the back of the store or in plastic buckets inside the store, towards the front. There was a cheerful, helpful chap serving today (Thursday) in the shop. I had a little wander about while I was in there. It's such a great shop. There are so many useful products.”

A fabulous Aladin's Cave of everything you didn't realise you needed, there really is everything from hardware, to gardening to pets, to knitting, to crafts, cards, and snacks. Add in the wonderful service and encyclopedic knowledge of the staff and you have the perfect shop for pros, amateurs and emergencies, as well as a lovely place to see what takes your fancy. Altogether a brilliant store that I will definitely go back to.”

“Have used Dads Shop many many times. Always helpful, if they haven't got something, they get it in usually by the next day, however, this place is like the Tardis!!! Caters for virtually everything that you need, and if they haven't got it in stock, as I say, they can get it for you. Staff are always knowledgeable, helpful and friendly”
