“We had never been to this pub before but wanted a change to our local. The food was amazing!!! Couldn't fault a thing. Would highly recommend for a Sunday roast. Also such a lovely cosy atmosphere, service very friendly and welcoming.”

“Ordered my food and mentioned once that I have dietary restrictions. Ordered and sat down with my drink. A few moments later the bartender came to my table to verify what if ordered and made sure everything was correct. I'm impressed by that level of service. When the food came out it looked good and tasted even better. The interior is comfortable. While I was there it wasn't very busy. Overall it was a great experience and I'll be going back. Note: online it's says they have darts which they don't.”

Furthermore, our arrival was not at 12:30; however, the primary reason for the negative review was the perceived rudeness of the individual I spoke with over the phone. Moving forward, following my stay at the hotel on Saturday, I was granted both an early check-in and a late check-out, which was greatly appreciated. The staff demonstrated exceptional professionalism and hospitality. The hotel maintains a high standard of cleanliness and offers a diverse selection of culinary options, including a main menu and a breakfast buffet. I highly recommend this establishment and would certainly choose to stay here again. My sincere thanks to the entire team for their accommodating service.”

I also helped her get settled so can confirm the room was immaculate and staff/owner bent over backwards to help her (diabetic) with her needs. “Stopped at the pub for a drink after going for a walk. The staff were very friendly. Plenty of beer, wine and spirit choices. Wonderfully big garden with plenty of shaded area if needed If in the area again will try to pop in for food next time.”

The evening buffet for the children was brilliant as it meant they could eat without waiting ages and pick what they wanted and change their minds easily enough. The grown up food was also very tasty. On a personal preference I thought the food was a bit 'poncy' for my taste but that's entirely a personal thing! Would definitely look to stay here again if I was in the area.”
