“My first review 11 months ago Wonderful food, service and presentation The proprietor warm and friendly front of house with a busy and professional open kitchen behind him. I had vegetarian dishes which were as delicious as anything I've ever eaten. I collected, but they realised after that the poppadom’s hadn't been bagged so ran a car to my hotel to drop off. The extra mile done with great professionalism and good will. Back tomorrow night and can’t wait. Just been back and Wow!! My team worked in the area last year, and so impressed were we, I left a Google review. This week we were back and ready for a second bite. Not disappointed and, if anything, the food was even better. The sounds of Mmmm, Ooh, and lip-smacking was all that could be heard as the team and I tucked in to our delicious crispy papadums sauce and chutneys aplenty, mouth-watering starters, and top-drawer mains. The fish masala was just something else, dish of the night for me. And like last year the veggie options were well considered, flavoursome, perfectly cooked, and not trying to be curry without the meat, rendering any meat course irrelevant in my view. The meat eaters were equally pleased and consider this place one of the best anywhere. So, I’m over the moon that this gem is thriving and cooking up some of the Indian subcontinent’s finest cuisine”

“I've had several meals here now and it never disappoints!! The food is outstanding, the service is always with a smile and I'm now a huge Spice Merchant fan!! Great place to meet with friends or pop for meal with my partner. Love it :)”

“My wife and I feel like we’ve grown up with Heaven’s Kitchen. They now have a few branches but this is the original location. It opened just after we moved to the area. As we were refurbishing our house at the time and had a long time without a kitchen, we had to eat out lot during that time. So, we got to know the staff well In those early days, the weakness was consistency as they seemed to go through quite a few chefs. Still, we loved the bruschetta and mushroom risotto, which sadly aren’t on the menu any more Yesterday, we came back after not coming for awhile. Service was a bit slow but very friendly - there were just 2 staff working flat out. The food was really tasty. Bone marrow, seafood linguine and ribeye steak were all wolfed down Great to see HK flourishing”

“Real good food. I went with a large group and so I tried lots of different foods. Couldn't complain about any of them. Would definitely recommend going here. It's a bit more expensive than some of the other restaurants around, but I think that if you're looking for a decent meal that's quality meets the price. you can't go wrong with this place! Service was great too, which is always a plus.”

“My now wife and I chose LSB to celebrate our wedding reception and we could not have been happier! Jason and the team made sure our special day went flawlessly and truly was the most beautiful day of our lives! The service was 12/10! The food was 12/10! The attention to detail was incredible. They knew the seating plan and which guest had which dish, they accommodated our request for gaps in between courses and they just genuinely provided the most incredible experience anybody could wish! The venue is beautiful and honestly I can’t recommend them enough! I would give 6stars if I could. We will definitely be coming back!”

“Everything was delicious! Queue times are a bit brutal if you’re coming during lunch time on the weekend, but other than that - I can totally see why this place is listed as one of the best restaurants in Reading.”

“Although I can’t vouch for the authenticity, I can for the quality of food, the flavours and value for money! Until I ate here, I had no clue about Tamil cuisine. I love different versions of gobi Manchurian and this one did not disappoint. Came out fast, great texture and a wonderfully fiery sauce. I love variety so ordered the Madras Thali. Roti & appalam (papad), lassi and a great selection of veggie dishes and rice pilau, then a nice dessert. Everything was full-flavoured and well executed with good spice levels right up my alley. First time with Poriyal with an unknown veggie with a texture like pumpkin but looked like brinjal or plantain. Really loved what I would call a kind of mushroom pakora, nice touch. Not expensive, lovely lady server. Tried to engage with management to ask more about this cuisine, but they seemed distracted elsewhere. I love that it opens at 10am for an early lunch. I’d love to come back and try the dosas.”

“Fantastic Thai Cuisine with Authentic Flavors! I had an amazing experience at Thai corner ! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance. The menu offers a great selection of authentic Thai dishes, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced with a hint of sweetness and a nice tang, while the chicken satay had the perfect level of spice with rich, peanut creamy flavor. The ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was beautiful. We also tried the Banana Fritter and Thai Pandan pancake for dessert, which was the perfect way to end the meal—sweet, fragrant, and absolutely delightful. The service was outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure we had everything we needed. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality of food and experience. If you’re looking for an authentic Thai dining experience, I highly recommend Thai Corner! “Our 2nd time to this restaurant, we couldn’t believe how good it was the first time we came, and how quiet it was! This place should be packed to the rafters, there was absolutely nothing that could have been better during our meal. The staff were super friendly and frankly I can’t remember the last time I had onion bhaji’s that were so fresh. Definitely recommended, especially if you are a local :)”

“We went on a Sunday and had the unlimited buffet for £23.95 included a long list of starters, intermediate duck course and main course. All the food was lovely but limited for gluten free and vegetarian options. We had a long wait between the second round of starters but it was busy. The staff were friendly. Have been coming here for years and it's always consistently great food.”

“Recommended by a friend so thought I'd give it a try as a little pit stop to my journey. Lovely staff and was a delight to see the kitchen in the back making the food and having true care to what they're doing. Pizza was true to the name with an amazingly crisp base and a dough that was so flavoursome! I just went for a simple Margherita as that should shine how good an establishments pizza is; it didn't disappoint. Tangy dough from its fermentation, beautifully sweet but salted tomato base with creamy cheese. It didn't make the journey home and I was eating slices at the wheel!”

I have asked them to write on my husband dessert "Happy birthday " and they did it with an extra unexpected birthday singing. They were lovely! We absolutely satisfied with everything.
