“We found Avanti by accident during a rather soggy few hours at BunkFest. We booked a table, left to enjoy more music and headed back. The welcome and service was excellent despite the business of the evening. The food was absolutely delicious and house red....yum! We don't live in the town but will definitely be back. “My wife and I feel like we’ve grown up with Heaven’s Kitchen. They now have a few branches but this is the original location. It opened just after we moved to the area. As we were refurbishing our house at the time and had a long time without a kitchen, we had to eat out lot during that time. So, we got to know the staff well In those early days, the weakness was consistency as they seemed to go through quite a few chefs. Still, we loved the bruschetta and mushroom risotto, which sadly aren’t on the menu any more Yesterday, we came back after not coming for awhile. Service was a bit slow but very friendly - there were just 2 staff working flat out. The food was really tasty. Immaculate white linen table settings all spotless. It is bigger than it looks with a Sisha Lounge behind the main restaurant. It's the best tasting Indian food I've had, genuinely. Great poppadoms(some with a spicy twist) and chutneys to start, delicious mains and great wine. Zak our waiter and all the staff were attentive when you needed them, but gave you space to enjoy your evening when you didn't which for me is the epitomy of great waiting staff. We will be returning. If you are looking for a great Indian restaurant in the Twyford area, go to Haweli, you won't be disappointed.”

“First trip here and it lived up to the stories we had heard and more. We were offered a tour of the smoker and a quick chat on the story behind the setting up of the restaurant. Then back to the large table near the window and a read through the comprehensive menu. We opted for the platter so that we could have a try of everything. When it arrived we had doubts that we would be able to work our way through it all. Everything was delicious. The brisket was soft and succulent, the pulled pork was smoky and all the trimmings were more than enough to fill us up. John the maitre de was helpful, attentive and keen to ensure we had a great time and great food. Will definitely return and cant wait to bring family and friends here.”

“I recently noticed that this store opened so decided to visit it. The pizza is very good value (£5.99 for a medium pizza or £7.99 for a large pizza - 2 toppings). In my opinion, it tastes better than Domino's. I would definitely recommend going here as it's cheap and tastes great!”

“This place serves just about the best fish and chips I have eaten anywhere, I can’t rate / recommend highly enough. The food is absolutely spot on and friendly, cheerful service too. Good value at £9.10 for small cod, chips and mushy peas which were generous portion sizes. The fish is cooked freshly to order and has a nice crunchy batter and perfectly cooked white fish inside. The chips from here are absolutely fantastic - cooked to perfection with a nice golden brown colour, crispy on the outside and soft potato inside. Whatever their cooking process is, double frying, and choice of potato they have it just right and consistently so. I can only assume that the people giving bad reviews are those who like their chips to be the soggy wet undercooked mess all stuck together and stuck to the paper that some other places seem to think it’s acceptable to serve - ignore them, this is fish and chips at its very best!”
