“Travelled for work, fantastic quiet spot just outside of reading. Old characterful building. Rooms pleasantly modernised, particularly new/modern bathroom. Room spotless/clean. WiFi fast for working if required. Lady who served breakfast provides a friendly start to the day, all staff in fact very welcoming and helpful. Food in restaurant is good, flavourful and a varied selection. Tea/coffee/water in rooms restocked daily. If in the area I would definitely stay again.”

“Customer service was excellent! We were served by two young lads who were really helpful and gave great advice on what to choose based on our preferences, as it was our first visit. It was a real pleasure to see young people who genuinely seemed to enjoy their work. The food was great too – would definitely recommend!”

“Attended a wedding on Sunday 14th December. Darren was our server. He was very polite, friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and everything was fine. Was more than happy to answer any questions we had. He is a credit to Audrey's wood. A great member of staff you have.”

Being from Kerala ourselves we have to say this has to be the BEST Kerala restaurant we’ve been to in UK ( and we’ve been to many). From the service to the atmosphere to the food authenticity- it was all PERFECT! Would definitely be returning if we’re in the area. 10/10 recommend.”

“Just went here to pick up some food before I went home. I have to say the staff are amazing I was reserved by a young woman who was incredibly helpful and allowed on the menu, as I didn't want to have chips or pita bread. I also like the fact that they had lots of stuff on which meant that food got served really quickly and then he extra requests were dealt with promptly. It's a shame they don't serve rice but I understand from speaking to the owner in the summer the reasons why. It's great to support a local business rather than those awful high Street chain places. Food is freshly cooked, and really nice. Being a foodie, I would prefer black olives in the Greek salad, and I think the Tzatziki, should have some mint, dill and lemon in it - but that's just me! Cannot fault the price at all, excellent value. And a great place to go to if you want food served quickly, without all the unhealthy stodge. A great local Basingstoke business to support!”

“We met Mannie when she had one of her charcuterie bars at Basing House Wedding Fayre. We really liked this idea and decided to book her for after our wedding as an alternative to the traditional canapés whilst the photos were taking place. Mannie liased with us on what we would like and we chose a mixture of sweet and savoury. On the day she themed the cart to our wedding theme of Christmas and even popped a couple of filled up cones to one side to make sure, as the bride and groom, we got one. We had some lovely comments from people on the day several who went back for seconds. I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending Mannicitas Catering and the brilliant charcuterie bars for anyone looking for something different to the usual canapés. Thank you, Mannie, for being part of our special day.”

“My daughter told me about Sora Lucia and I have to say wow. Just wow. Absolutely stunningly delicious food and real value for money. Delivered on time and piping hot. “Stayed for the night following a friend's birthday celebration. Warm welcome on check in and everything explained regarding breakfast and checking out. Beautiful large room for 2 of us to share, everything you could need to make a comfortable stay. Bathroom with a large walk in shower, looked fairly new and sparkling clean. Comfy beds and a fabulous breakfast in the morning. Perfectly poached eggs. The evening meal was lovely everyone was impressed with their choices and portion sizes were fabulous for the price. Staff were happy to add a candle to our friend's desert for us. Definitely would recommend and would stay again if in the area.”

“This place is gorgeous. I was there for a meeting so can’t comment on food or drink but the grounds alone are reason enough to go. Would certainly like to stay the night on my next visit. There is ample car parking here. Would recommend driving as it is in a rural spot.”

“Absolutely great little Pub with very well equipped rooms. Food was great especially breakfast. Staff were excellent. Anyone thinking about a place to stay, whilst visiting Bombay Sapphire, should definitely put this place top of the list. Overton is a lovely friendly little village.”

“We just had our wedding at Barton’s mill and it was incredible. The staff were amazing and helpful and friendly, the food was delicious and they set up the tables with the decor we provided beautifully. Flo our co ordinator was so lovely and took away our stresses and Chanelle who looked after us in the morning kept us updated and on time with the order of the day. Absolutely worth every penny and a gorgeous venue to hold a wedding.”

“Actually better taste than other local places. If you order the set menu the sizes are different that's because it's for 1 or 2 person. If you order separately the sizes are big. Great tasting food will back again. Absolutely clean kitchen. Best I have seen in a while.”

“Me and my girlfriend decided we would try out the food in this fine establishment. We bought a drink at the bar then was taken to our seats to order food. It happened to be steak night and our waiter (Luke) was absolutely amazing, with good old British banter but also very professional. I always get a Rib/eye steak, but like recommended something else by like and I was not disappointed at all. My other half got fish and chips which was cooked to perfection, and oh my god the beef dripping chips are to die for! We will 100% be back, and give Luke a raise because he deserves one!!”

“We stayed for one night as a family. The hotel is in a great location with good parking. The room and hotel were exceptionally clean throughout, facilities are brilliant. The breakfast selection was great. The best thing about our stay, however, was the staff - particularly Khadija on reception when we checked in and Suleyman at breakfast. All the staff we met were so polite, friendly and helpful. They really made the stay even better. Thank you.”
