“Trip out to see my best mate's sister n partner with his grandson who has cerebral palsy. Pub is wheelchair friendly n dog friendly. Very comfortable n extremely polite n friendly bar staff. And they had a right selection of draught beers. My mate n I had a couple of pints of draught mango cider - outstanding. All in all a most enjoyable afternoon”

“Visited the Tut n Shive, yesterday. A busy Saturday night, from walking in even though the staff were busy I was acknowledged immediately and told be one minute. Totally different from being ignored like in other establishments.Felt totally comfortable and relaxed. Thanks to the staff, will be visiting again. This is how a pub should be. Outstanding”

“Had a lovely family walk around the lake at Thrybergh Country Park. The sunny yet Autumnal weather was glorious and the lake was so clear, it was really impressive. The flat and level path around the lake was a nice steady walk and on a Saturday afternoon didn't seem too busy with dog walkers and joggers. Approximately 50% of the path around the lake is relatively new tarmac, with the rest compacted material with a few puddles, but nothing difficult to navigate. The small playground entertained my kids for about half an hour and me and my wife enjoyed a great and competitively priced coffee from the cafe to enjoy on the benches nearby. I was thoroughly impressed with how free from litter the whole county park was. It was noticeably clean and tidy, so the park rangers are clearly doing a fantastic job.”

“Despite arriving towards the end of service the carvery was absolutely excellent. The veg was lovely and the meat was phenomenal. Friendly staff and drinks and food for under £15 each, really no complaints at all.”

“Our wedding reception was held here and afterwards we stayed in one of there fabulous rooms. Larrisa and all of her lovely staff were absolutely wonderful. Polite helpful and very patient with all of our guests. Larrisa was our wedding organiser, and what a fantastic job she did. The function room looked beautiful, just as I had asked it to be and nothing was too much trouble. We had a carvery for our wedding meal and it was agreed by all of my guests, that the food was delicious. So would I recommend this venue……..YOU BET. Thank you to all involved with our day, but especially LARRISA. You are a star!”

“Delicious food, went for a Sunday lunch. We were one of the few tables in there. It’s a small place but loved the William Morris feel to the decor. The food was top notch and so was the service. One of my friends also went for breakfast and said her whole family loved it.”

“Went as a group of 6 on a busy Friday evening (11th Oct) and had a great reception from the get go. Fantastic food and service all night. I had the scotch egg and the duo of beef… both absolutely brilliant from taste to presentation. We were very comfortable, the decor was modern and well done whilst keeping a country gastro pub feel. 10/10 all round”

“I visited Tuesday evening and had a bbq chicken pizza and cookie&brownie desert. Both were full of flavour and were prepared with love, care and passion. The pizzas been made on site with fresh dough it was simply amazing thr best pizza I've had anywhere. I was visiting as part of an organised prepaid meal through my work but would have happily paid for this myself and another visit is definitely on the cards.”
