“Well when you have 3 real ale pubs within 50 metres it has to be good!? The Dronfield Arms is another " Brew Pub" home to Tempest Brewery. Casta had one of their Pale Ales.. Rear beer decking next to car park to enjoy a sunny south facing summer afternoon. Somebody knew Casta was a relative of Flat Eric, 1990's Superstar. (Now penniless and living with us!) Pub very close to railway station.”

“I recently visited Cafe Des Amis in Sheffield and had a really good experience. The sausages were very juicy and full of flavour, the poached eggs were cooked nicely, and the mushrooms were delicious. The toast with butter was a simple but perfect combo. I also tried the Arabic coffee – it was very strong and authentic, just as it should be. The café itself was very clean and well-kept, including the toilets, which is always a good sign. Overall, a great spot for breakfast and definitely worth visiting again!”

“This is what a pub is supposed to be like. Great service from the moment we stepped in. Moretti on tap. Magic. Good atmosphere, busy, country pub. The food is exceptional and proper home style cooking. You don't get that these days with all that boil in the bag ding dinners they serve at chains. Battered cod and chips was excellent. Liver and onions, pies, braising steak. Range of desserts. Very reasonably priced. I mean, it's where you go for a great meal. Thank you Alan and Tracey.”

“Excellent Sunday lunch. Nice pub with a traditional pub feel, and a dining room facing onto a nice pub garden. Service was friendly and quick. Food was good. Had the trio roast which was tasty. Portion size was excellent (big). Roast had I think three meats, stuffing, roasties, mash, parsnip, carrots, cabbage, leeks and I think peas. Excellent value at 19 quid. I also had a side of pigs in blankets which I really didn't need but where also good. Whilst we don't have dogs, also loved the free doggie treats and water bowls for four legged friends as nice touch you don't often see. This was our first time here and we will definitely be going again.”

“A spontaneous breakfast date for my husband and I. We had been here for drinks before but never eaten. It was incredible, our hostess Sarah was amazing, nothing was too much trouble, big smile on her face and a quick chat everything she stopped by. How she got around the restaurant serving everyone so fast I will never know but she was a stellar hostess. The food was beyond delicious, the eggs were cooked to perfection, the sausage and bacon was mouth-watering. The lovely surprise of unlimited coffee was definitely a boon. The restaurant was nice and quiet, the atmosphere wonderfully calm. We had a lovely much needed date and chose the perfect place. Thankyou to all at the Harvester for a wonderful visit.”

“Came here for a family meal out. Our first visit and we was not disappointed. The pub is decorated to a very good standard with a warm and welcomimg feel, the staff were really polite and courteous too and the food menu was very extensive and exciting. Of course we had to try the platters and had our 1st taste of chicken burger with candy floss cola dip n sherbet dib dab lol which was tastebud tantalizing to say the least... Popcorn with cola sauce too. Portions were more than generous and worth every penny. Was delighted to find an outside play area at the back of the pub for the little ones. Had a wondeful time here and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend this venue you will not be disappointed. Thankyou to all the staff for a memorable day out. Much appreciated.”

“A neat and tidy indoor area to dine in. The staff are very welcoming and polite, when you enter they ask if you are eating in or eating out - I was eating inside on a table for 2, (we could sit wherever we wanted! No restrictions!) and were given menus to choose from. There were some items not on the menu however and the menu was out of date with some prices however they quickly rectified this issue by explaining to me what other options they had as well as any extras I could have. I got the double cheese burger with nacho-cheese loaded fries with a Cadbury's flavoured Hot Chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows on top, it looked like it had been crafted to perfection. The burger patties were very thick and juicy, not dry at all and there were multiple layers of cheese per patty! The nacho-cheese was very creamy and runny as well as a nice treat on top of my fries (make sure to ask if you want a lot or not a lot of nacho-cheese as it can be very strong tasting). After my main meal I asked about their ice cream, they do very proper ice cream in multiple ways of eating such as: small tub, waffle cone, sundae and others! It was a fixed price for my sundae so that meant I could have as many extras as I'd wanted! I ended up with having a Nutella base with Chocolate, Vanilla, and Lotus Biscoff balls of ice cream. When it came to my table they served an extra pot of Biscoff bits to sprinkle on at my discretion while eating. Overall a very, very good experience and definitely one of the best Cafés in Clowne! If you're in town and craving a bite to eat at a low cost, head to Bites!”

“We went for lunch on a Tuesday myself, wife and baby. Food was delicious. We asked for a table with space for the pram and my mobility aid and the lady showing us to the table was so polite and moved chairs out of the way to make our table more comfortable for us. It’s a small thing but when you’re disabled and have a newborn small things like that can make a big difference. Our server Beth was great, very polite and helpful. The food was great. The menu has changed since last time I visited but it was delicious.”
