“Small cosy little place, great in winter. They do a fantastic breakfast and the tea/coffee is also superb. The atmosphere is obviously very good with it being such a small place and despite them always being busy, the service is very quick! “Kefi hosted my baby shower and it was absolutely stunning. The charcuterie boards were luxurious and beautifully presented, the cakes were delicious and home made (the brownie is just to die for), the soft warm focaccia bread complimented the grazing table…. It was just all around a beautiful experience and you could tell Kefi had put in an overwhelming amount of effort. The staff ensured everyone had a warm or cold drink, and the afternoon flowed so elegantly as we were looked after so well. One thing that stood out was their catering to dietary requirements, we had celiac, vegan, and pregnant attendees. The owner beautifully segregated all of the boards to suit each diet and labelled everything up whilst still ensuring the presentation was of a high standard! I genuinely recommend hiring Kefi to host your special events as the building is so beautiful and gives such cosy vibes.”

“We stopped here for breatfast on our journey to go biking at sherwood forest. The breakfast was really nice, freshly cooked and a amazing cheap price. We bought some homemade cakes and the kids got to pick some 1p sweets for later in the day. The owners are lovely, they are a village shop/cafe so call in and give them your trade, it was only 6 miles away from the sherwood forest. As they are small they don't have a toliet.”

“We stopped for dinner at The Bull last night with my elderly and terminally ill greyhound Howard. I told the waitress about Howard and asked if they could bring us a plain sausage for him, fully expecting to pay for this. He loved the sausage. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and the pub quiz in a very relaxed and welcoming environment. At the end of the night I paid the bill and realised they had not charged me for the sausage. This was a lovely caring touch to end what would be Howard’s last night with us. I would personally like to say thank you to the personnel at The Bull for everything. We will definitely be back.”

“A large family group visit to Koinonia at Diwali to celebrate a birthday on a Sunday lunchtime. We all had the Diwali set menu including the child with us. We had a warm friendly welcome into the nicely decorated restaurant and the staff were all dressed in beautiful cultural clothing. We were seated and offered drinks promptly. Staff came to speak to us about gluten free changes/options for one of our diners and shortly after our food started to arrive. Wow absolutely amazing, each course was generous in portion size, looked fabulous, smelled unbelievably good and tasted fantastic. We were all thrilled with our meals and the cost was very competitive, drinks were fairly priced, 0% Cobra was also available for the drivers amongst our group. We would all highly recommend a visit to Koinonia it’s a gem of a restaurant in the centre of Newark on Trent with plenty of nearby parking options”
