“Freddie started here last April 2024 when he was two for 15 hours a week. The staff have been incredible, all so loving and patient with him, this allowed Freddie to feel more safe and secure away from me. At the beginning Freddie struggled to settle but after just a few sessions he was a completely different little boy. I can't thank this nursery enough, i couldn't see him settling and being happy away from me but the staff here changed this for me. They always keep me updated with photos and videos to let me know he is okay. They have always been so thoughtful and accommodating, choosing certain activities which they know Freddie enjoys so that he feels included and enjoys his self more easily. Freddie now goes for 30 hours per week and he absolutely loves coming to nursery. He loves learning, drawing, playing outside, going for outings in the park and singing songs. The change in Freddie has been unbelievable since starting here, he has come on in leaps and bounds, a lot more confident within his self and also with his speech. I love picking him up, seeing his smiley face and hearing all about his day. Management/staff are always so friendly and whenever you have a question or worry they are always there to help you and reassure you. Definitely recommend victoria park hall day nursery to other parents/families x”

“I was all set to ride from Land's End to John O’Groats. Then a couple of weeks before, disaster struck and for reason unknown my knee swelled like a balloon and was really painful. I went to see Dr O'Connell who squeezed me in, gave me a steroid injection and wished me luck. Very happy to say I completed the odyssey, wouldn't have done without the treatment.”

Tahler is very welcoming, his approach to physiotherapy and techniques are really effective and leave me feeling recovered and reset.”

“We loved our stay here! The lady Laura was fantastic as we arrived slightly late as the walk we were on took longer than anticipated, when we rang she told us not to panic and she'd let us in still, and to travel safely which was lovely. The pod was very clean and tidy on arrival, mugs and hot drinks on a little table. The bed was very comfy and there was heating in the pod which made it warm and cosy. I just wished we could have stayed longer here! We will be back!!!”

“Lovely little park. Really helpful boss. We had problems due to road closures getting our caravan home so left it there for a while st reduced rate. Plenty of room. Good toilets and showers. Just lovely”

“This is a beautiful location the toilet shower and washing up facilities are perfect. A little cafe that also sells alcohol is a lovely addition. Partner thinks tgey should do sausage and bacon sandwiches and breakfasts lol”

“The staff were very friendly and helpful. The milkshakes were fresh and cold and delicious. The popcorn could have been better. It was quite expensive for food and drinks but good quality for money. The seats were a bit sung but comfy. Overall one of the best cinemas I've been to. The atmosphere was quiet but comfy.”

“What a lovely campsite in such a beautiful location. The campsite is pristine with what looks like newly refurbished toilet and shower block (Limetree). The campsite is located within Clumber Park. There is something for everyone here. I enjoyed 2 days of hiking the trails around the lake and wider park. There is a cafe trailer at the top of the lake about a 1.5 mile walk from the site. The main cafe within the National Trust complex in the park is about 2 miles from the site. The walking is easy as it is mostly flat. I will definitely be returning here.”

“Still the same giant slide from when I was little and visited here. Nice park and a little cafe including toilets. Car park could be a bit better as not much room for many cars.”

“Brilliant kayaking party for our son's 10th birthday. Will, the instructor, was absolutely lovely - warm, caring and full of fun. All the children had a fabulous time and we'll definitely be back.”

“Awesome view of the sunset when it’s a clear sky. You get an uninterrupted view of the city skyline. It’s a good spot to chill and relax especially when they have their out door cinema up and running. It’s also right next to the train station so you could get a train or train right up to to it.”

“Surprisingly very large car park. £4.75/day for cans and vans. 5mins walk to Owley Tor 15 mins walk to Milestone Edge. (Best every view from the top of the hill) Evening hours- golden hours would blow your mind. They dont have any bins anywhere near the Peak District National Park. So keep some spare bags to carry the bins and bring them back to car. No toilet facilities available anywhere near the area. At least we haven’t seen one.”

“Lovely place but be VERY CAREFUL if following Google Maps directions - ours tried to take us via a woodland bridleway which was totally unsuitable. I think the maps route has been updated now (correct route is via Cupthorpe) but leaving this just in case.”

“Nice small area for kids to play with a small loop scooter ride track. Seating area for adults. Musical interactive metal drums and saxophone that is very engaging. It is close to the kids play area and an ideal space to spend quality time with family having some snacks.”

“Plenty of parking, a great lounge serving nice cappuccino. We relaxed and enjoyed the match as spectators as the lads had a very competitive game. The centre has 9 pitches of which 5 were in use while we were there. Seemed to be a popular place for playing, watching or just enjoying a drink in the lounge while watching sports on the screen.”
