Days were engaging, and always different, it's clear the staff take a huge amount of time planning the days and how the kids can get the most out of their time there. “I came here with my partner for an early gender scan, booking process was so easy, I made a mistake and they were fast to change it for me, upon arrival, the inside is beautifully decorated with lots of photo and previews of what’s to come and what they offer. They was instantly welcoming, asking if we’re excited, how my partner was feeling and what we were hoping for After a very short wait we went into a private room for the gender scan, it was surreal seeing how much the baby had grown. The sonographer was very nice and talked us through the process whilst showing us our baby in detail. They warned us to close our eyes so we didn’t see the gender too! Once they had discovered the gender we was able to see our baby for a little longer and even see our baby in 4D. After this we were able to sit through and take out time to select which photos we wanted to take back to our families. We even paid for a video of the whole scan! They were very helpful in showing us the differences of the gender reveal items. We went with two confetti cannons. 2 for £15 I believe. They were definitely worth it! So thank you very much for taking care of us and our beautiful baby boy!”

“As a Registered Nurse myself I am extremely careful who I trust with any treatments or care. I’ve had a progressing rash for the last 2 weeks. Cheryl assessed me in a fully holistic manner and took a thorough history. She was able to diagnose and start me on some treatment, as well as advising that I see my GP as soon as possible for onward care. Without Cheryl’s help and her excellent Dermatology knowledge, I would not have had the confidence to approach the GP with the suspected diagnosis. Thank you so much.”

“I went to Alex with swelling &pain around my right knee after being told by my dr it happens at my age ( 59yrs). I was struggling gardening, using stairs, wearing anything but flat shoes and even walking any distance on the flat. With a robust series of appointments Alex was able to identify the problem was muscular once he got the swelling down on my knee and established it was not in fact my knee. He gave good sound advice and tips to manage the issue and prevent re occurrence. I will have no hesitation in returning to Alex in future for further treatment should I have any further issues. He is informative and explains everything thoroughly. I have no hesitation in recommending Alex if you are looking for such help.”

“We had already previously stayed at The Lions. Absolutely immaculate, a very warm greeting. Pablo and John go above and beyond to make sure your stay is first class. They do an excellent job. Excellent full English breakfast, too. Because the weather was good, we had breakfast outside, and they set their garden furniture beautifully. Their garden is stunning, like a country garden from a magazine. Peaceful and so very pretty. The Lions is perfectly located to get into town or surrounding areas.”

“An absolutely wonderful place. We stayed 4 nights and didn't want to leave! Mark has made us feel right at home from the minute we arrived. The room was perfect with high quality furnishings and bedding and the dining room where breakfast is served is absolutely gorgeous. The breakfast itself was the highlight of our stay not only because of the delicious food but also Mark's company. We enjoyed all his spot on recommendations of what to see and do in the local area as well as his entertaining stories. We can't wait to return as this place is 5* in every respect.”

“Carly literally saved my hair! I came in with every shade of ginger and blonde you could think of! She walked me through every option, and helped me choose which would be the best choice for me, Carly then gave me a lovely ashy brunette with highlights going through, and a good chop which I needed , but still managed to keep some of my length, which I was so happy about, the salon itself is an amazing place to be, all the ladies are super chatty aswell as the staff too there so accommodating, offering drinks, and advice, so when you leave you feel so uplifted and happy it just makes for a great experience 100% would recommend Carly! She knows exactly what she’s doing, and I don’t think there’s nothing she wouldn’t be able to do!”

“We went there recently for an axe throwing experience. This included angels, tomahawks and throwing axes. The instructor (Richard?) was very friendly, clear and patient. Safety rules explained and followed. It was a cracking experience and I would go again. The place is quite small and on a farm / equestrian centre. There is also shooting and archery available. Sat Nav sends you to a farm up the road so look at the map carefully. Free tea and coffee available, which is a nice touch. Excellent gift from a good friend.”

“What a place, we came here a few years ago and had a great time then….and the site has been improved further since to make it even more comfortable and luxurious. The new tents are large and homely, the kitchen areas attached to each area are well kitted out and the amenities and indoor areas around the site in case of bad weather have grown. Will be keen to come back again :)”

“We spent Easter weekend at this lovely B&B and will most certainly be back. Our family room was excellent, spotlessly clean, breakfast was delicious. Also did some fishing in the onsite lake. 10 min walk from the Horse and Jockey pub where we had a nice evening meal and also another meal at Pesto at The Peacock which was also very good. Bottle feeding the lamb and the Easter treats were a lovely touch. Thanks for hosting us!”
