Parking facility in Derby

“One of my favourite parks - south of Derby that I love to visit. Ample parking, clean and tidy. Quite a few benches for a lovely picnic along with the facility of a small cafe by the reservoir.”

“Great place. Can spend a half a day to a day there. Plenty of car park spaces available (5£ a day / machine accepts only cash) Small food shop available selling some hotdogs icecreams and drinks. Plan to get ur food basket and a picnic mat when the weather is good. Board sign says no swiming or inflatables but there were lots of people enjoyin the water. (Get ur shorts and swim suits) Walking trail was good 3 routes ( 1 - 075 miles , 2 - 1.5 miles , 3 - 3.5 mies) Children play are available. Toilets near the food shops. Saw some sailing session goin on, not sure what it was. Well maintaned place.”

“Honestly great, you don’t expect it to be as fun as it is! If you get one of the deals it can be really cheap too! Really good bit of fun to do in winter when it’s cold and dark inside. The bowling’s great and definitely the best value but they also have escape rooms, karaoke and laser tag I’m pretty sure.”

“We had an wonderful stay. The rooms were nice and clean and made up in time for our early check in. Emma was very attentive and very friendly made us feel very welcomed and really appreciate all the help she provided. There was a lot of us and she went out her way to make our stay wonderful! I think the lady who cleaned our rooms was Nina and she was so friendly too the rooms were clean couldn't fault anything. Thank you to you both. Look forward staying again in the future”

“Absolutely amazing service , we needed a hotel for the night last minute due to a awful expereince at our accomodation in Nottingham. We turned up late to reception and the guy went out of his way to get us a room suitable for 3 adults. Nothing was too much trouble and we got a fairly good night's sleep. Staff were amazing , so thank you for coming to our rescue after a awful experience elsewhere”

“Came here for the first time tonight after the refurb, Finn is an asset to the team, he went above and beyond. Great at delegating professionally to make things run as effectively as possible! “So came here in April 25 for a casual dinner to celebrate my wife’s birthday. 4 year old daughter was in tow. The spring menu was Italian themed. I have to say that this is a proper gastro pub. The food is excellent. Really high quality and very very tasty. Portion size is good so you won’t leave hungry. Expresso martinis are delicious as was the wine. As it was my wife’s birthday they brought out a brownie and a candle and some ice cream for my daughter just so she wouldn’t feel left out. Luckily this is in vicinity and is out go to place when we want some decent food and a nice night out. We’ll be back.”

The service from James was superb, not just to me, but consistently from what I observed, I’d say the best I’ve personally witnessed, kind & personable. Great pint as well, would recommend.”

“Visited for Sunday lunch. It was excellent. We had the gammon and the pie. Food was all cooked perfectly. A great selection of vegetables. Roast and mashed potatoes. All food was piping hot. Staff were all very good, helpful and attentive. First visit for food - been before and sat outside for a drink. Will definitely return as this Sunday lunch was amazing.”

“I stopped by GDK on a whim and I’m really glad I did. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and even though it was a bit busy, the staff were still friendly and accommodating. I ordered a wrap meal, and everything from the fries to the meat was fresh and well-seasoned. You can really tell they care about the quality of their food. Definitely one of the better spots for a quick, satisfying bite. I’ll be recommending it to my mates for sure.”

“The food was really hot, which I'll be honest is a rarity for a lot of Maccies. I used some of my points to get a double Sausage and egg, and just brought a hash brown and drink to go with it. This is the only store I know, where all the drinks are dispensed on the customer side of counter”
