“Only just moved in to the area and I've already found my go to place for food and drinks. The atmosphere is great with a very welcoming feel from all the staff and other patrons alike. The pizzas and chicken wings are literally some of the best I've had and I've eaten a lot of pizzas and chicken wings. Lastly if you drink the draught lager Asahi go steady on them I nearly fell over twice ;)”
“Quite a busy little local pub with a great atmosphere. Enjoyed a lovely meal there, just a simple pie chips and peas, everything seemed home made and was very tasty. Friendly and attentive staff looked after us well. I will definitely be making a return visit.”
“Under new management! Great, lively and quirky bar. Fantastic cocktails with a cocktail of the month available. Lovely seated courtyard area and extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff.”
“Absolutely top notch food and service, nothing was too much trouble for the team there, Zack gets a special mention for his bright and pleasant approach. Having visited Italy many times and eaten (far too much!) there, I can confidently say this is the closest to a real Italian experience you will get in the UK. Will be back!”
“Friendly and attentive staff. Good main courses. Didn't try the desserts or starters.”
“Me and the wife went for tea yesterday and all I can say is nice very nice the size of meal you get is big the food was red hot has it should be and it was real food not the freezer stuff. The owner lovely and we went when it wasn't to busy so bouns. They are obviously trying to keep their prices down because two large meals two large glasses of wine and one beer £40 I know some of you might think that is expensive but it's not for the quality of food we got and drinks. Thank you we will be going back.”
“I’ve been visiting The Grind for around three years now, and it’s hands down my favourite spot in Doncaster. The owner and staff are always so welcoming and lovely; nothing is ever too much trouble for them. The prices are really reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes and the quality of the food. And if you’re into cocktails, you’ll be spoilt for choice; their menu is huge, and every one I’ve tried has been delicious! Highly recommend!”
“A wet led pub at the top of its game with the choice of both craft and cask. A superb juke box blasting out alternative hits Friday lunchtime merely makes you want to stay for more excellent beer.”
“Visited several times for meals always cooked to perfection. Sunday lunch did not disappoint the pork just melted in my mouth. All the vegetables are fresh and served piping hot. Would definitely recommend. Staff are welcoming, friendly and nothing too much trouble”
“Hadn’t been for about 4 years. Came on a trip from Upton last night. Very friendly, everyone makes you feel welcome and won a house on bingo. Turn Lady z was fab too”
“You can't go wrong at this wonderful pub. The food is superb, all the ingredients are locally sourced and cooked to perfection. You've got to try their full English breakfasts, especially the large belly buster. 3 sausage, 3 bacon 2 eggs, 2 hash browns, black pudding ( my fav), beans and plum tomatoes, comes with toast and tea. Me being greedy ask for fried bread on top....fantastic. But then, you've got to try their homemade pies, packed with filling to the brim, simply the best. They have lots of offers on different nights, so it's always worth calling in for a feast....”
“We celebrated our 70th birthday with cooked meals for 21 family members and not a complaint from any one. Meals came out together as fast as they could be carried through from kitchen. We always enjoy our meals when we call in about once a week, but a little worried about us all getting our orders correct, We needent have worried, every thing was top notch, nice and hot. The chef even catered for one that is gluten intolerant, one with a nut allergy but a quick word with the chef and all sorted. The orders ranged from pie n peas, fish n chips, steaks, T.Bone steaks, mixed grills, chicken fajitas and my very own favourite smothered chicken. We were a very happy crowd and all satisfied at the end of the evening. The bar is always in tip top condition with beers as they should be. Thank you for making it memorable. WE WILL BE BACK.”
“I attended my cousins 60th birthday party , the venue is spacious and immaculately clean. Plenty of bar staff .The food is exceptional a hot and cold buffet with plenty of choice and even if you are a fussy eater I'm sure that you wouldn't be disappointed. The hosts Paul and Jeanine were on hand .There is also a stage to accommodate live music that we all enjoyed. We all had an enjoyable and memorable evening .”
“First time visit, and I was hooked. The Blue Bell is a beautiful English pub. It was mother's day lunch a Sunday roast beef dinner, and it was delicious. I forgot to take a photo because I just wanted to eat it. The staff were lovely and had a table with pretty surroundings. I couldn't fault it at all. Definitely on my list to visit again.”
“What an absolute gem of a pub! Myself and mum stopped on our way to a hen do just up the road. Service wonderful, staff friendly and easy to chat too. Food was amazing and excellent value for money all round! We shall be back this weekend!”

“Nice Little Pub Wanted to book for the Friday but food was not on (later found out that somebody had removed the exhausts from the supply companies vans)!! Booked for the Saturday for a family of 4 and had a nice meal just before the evening entertainment started. It has a nice big beer garden for the kids. Would certainly visit again for a drink and food, Catches a lot of walkers, cyclists, bikers and tourers from the Caravan Park at the rear.”
“Had a mega mixed grill and the sirloin stake was absolutely amazing and the chicken was juicy and grilled to perfection. Would recommend that you give this place a try. If you want good quality food, this is the place.”
“From the moment we arrived with a warm welcome we felt very comfortable in our surroundings. Our food was cooked to perfection, arriving without delay. We hadn't been to The Royal Oak before but won't hesitate to do so again. Thank you for a lovely evening.”
“We’ve just had a Family for 12 at Sea Fish and everything was spot on. The food was absolutely delicious and really fresh, and the service was amazing super friendly, welcoming and attentive. A special shoutout to Isla, Helena, Lucy and Ed who looked after us so well and made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed. Highly recommend we’ll definitely be back!”
“Absolutely stunning food. We tried one of the set menus and it was perfect. Couldn’t fault it, all the flavours were bang on and huge portions too. Service was wonderful with lovely staff. Thank you so much.”

“Second time we’ve been since the new owners and it’s been fabulous on both occasions. Such a variety on the menu so there is something for everyone and the kids menu is great too. Food is amazing and the portions are huge so you’ll never leave on an empty stomach. The staff are friendly and attentive and really care about their customers. We enjoyed our time here, thank you! X”
“Can't fault this place at all. Staff were really attentive and food is absolutely delicious! I got introduced to cheese sauce on my roast dinner for first time as a southerner. Let's just say I was very impressed indeed and didn't realise what I've been missing all this time on my roasts! Highly recommended place for pub lunch and lovely Yorkshire Cask Ales!”
“Bit of a que but we'll worth the wait, lots of veg to choose from and 3 meats, cooked to perfection.”
“Always pop in when I’m in the area, staff are always polite and knowledgeable on the products. Great value and always really clean and tidy, a proper local pub!”
“Great pub to stop at after a wet and windy walk this time of year. Pet friendly, great staff, good food not silly prices and open fires. Definitely recommend.”
“Had a lovely meal in a nice setting. No complaints.”
“I came across this bar on Saturday and absolutely loved it, loved the upcycled theme throughout and the vibe inside was really good. Really loved the beer kegs turned into stools! The bar staff were friendly and helpful and quick service. The drinks were quiet expensive compared to other bars but they tasted so good I didn't mind paying that bit extra. Will be going again and recommending it to all my friends.”
