“A great lunch stop on a section of the Camino de santiago walk from ovington to shawford. Fis and chips with tarter sauce and mushy peas were delicious Atmosphere and service were great. Well worth a visit if you're in Winchester”

“Simply one of the best restaurants in Winchester. A hidden gem. Amazing food. Great staff and great venue. Plenty of seating. Food cooked in open kitchen. Steaks to rival any London steakhouse. Prices are reasonable but what you would exepct in Winchester. Parking at nearby Chesil Street carpark a short 5 minute walk away. Can't recommend this place anymore.. a must try.”

“We had a delightful evening for a group of 8. The staff were excellent and super friendly, we were made very welcomed. The restaurant was clean with good decoration and a had a really nice vibe. The food was excellent and really delicious. I ordered the railway lamb which was recommended and it didn’t disappoint. Keema naan had all the flavour you could hope for and the aloo gobi had a brilliant blend of spices. Just delicious. Really is a delightful restaurant at a fair price. Will go back the next time I visit Winchester.”

“10/10!!!! best momo in winchester and staff were very friendly. service was a little slow but it was friday evening and only seemed to be one guy waiting and running food. Food was worth the wait though, highly reccomend and would like to come back and try the Nepali Thali. Staff also highly accommodating with my preferences as they made me a paneer tikka masala despite the menu options only being chicken and veg. Very good for vegetarians!!! Menu also has excellent allergen information”

“As a regular user of the Southampton branch was in Winchester and thought I would try out the branch. Suppose you just expect the same. Southampton is good and would be difficult to beat but they’ve done it. Friendly welcoming staff, food just as brilliant as Southampton well recommend.”

“Lovely old style store with the basics and more importantly a good range of wines, ports and sherry. All supervised by Nick a wonderful, knowledgeable gentleman of a mature vintage. Also a selection of condiments etc. Worth a visit and 50m from the Wykeham Arms.”

“We used the Naked Grape to supply wine for our wedding and I couldn't be happier with the choice. We were recommended excellent wines by the team and selected wines which were perfect for the wedding day. The entire process was so warm and friendly. I wish more people knew about them rather than going straight to the large wine chains stores as this is a far superior service. Highly recommend the Naked Grape!”

“Popped in on Halloween night as we were running behind on dinner due to trick or treating with the kids and they left us no dinner. Saw their Facebook post on special Halloween offers so gave it a go. Lovely friendly staff, even the chef popped out in to restaurant area. Sausage and mash was lovely, nice touches and locally sourced sausages. Couldn't stay long and only moved to Swanmore 3 weeks ago so at least we know this place is a food one to go to in future. See you again soon!”

“Wow! Iv ordered From here before but ordered the Bassit special meal this evening and whole family is very impressed . There is sooo much food! 2 medium pizzas, fluffy soft dough and they don’t skimp on the topping and tasted great. 2 medium kebabs great size and salad was fresh and you get loads, we haven’t even touched the box of chicken and chicken wing s yet or the garlic bread . Came with a bottle of Full fat coke which makes a nice change from the diet crap most takeeay places give you for free. It looks like we have a a new favourite takeaway . Thank you!”

“We hired the upstairs of Audreys for my sister in laws hen party. Ruth went out of her way to accommodate us, regularly checking we were happy and if there was anything they could do to help. She even went out to Robert Dyas to buy a fan as it was an unseasonably hot day! She catered to our individual dietary requirements and i don’t think there was anything else she could have done to make it more of a success. The food was amazing and plenty of it (she even gave us boxes to take leftovers home). Highly recommend x”

“We stayed here for the Christmas markets. What a jem of a find. Literally opposite the Cathedral. Fabulous room with lots of little extras that made it feel really special. A great restaurant/bar below which has great waiting staff & a delicious varied menu. I cannot recommend a stay highly enough.”

“Well laid out modern motel like feel. Rooms comfortable and easy to heat. Good selection of beverages including a coffee machine. Excellent addition of a mini fridge and fresh milk. Plenty of free parking and sort drive out of Winchester (15mins) or to walk in about 1hr 30mins. Local bus stop but not very regular times. Generally quiet though could be more noisy in warmer moths if people outside enjoying the pub. Nice inviting bar/restaurant with good variety of food and drinks. Only noticeable down side would be the random lighting the dipped/brightened regularly (owners have looked into it many times with no resolve) and dusting of the floor areas could be improved especially under beds. Overall the place had a good feel and would recommend this place and definitely consider staying again or in another place in the company chain.”

“Stumbled in here caked in mud on a freezing cold day from the South Downs path. We were made to feel so welcome. We had a lovely coffee and tea perched by the fire. We were so comfortable we didn’t want to leave! Definitely the highlight of the South Downs path so far!”

“We visited on a Saturday evening. Glad we booked a table as the restaurant was rather busy. Seated upstairs, a little bit cramped and a tad noisy. Pizzas that we ordered arrived fairly quickly. Probably one of the best pizzas I've had at a restaurant. Would definitely recommend.”
