Looked like exactly on the pictures ( all toppings were nicely organised, cheese even ) . We would like to thank him , and also for being very polite, and quick! “I think we are very fortunate to have Co-op in the village. And it’s a good selection of food. So many times I managed to get things just before 10pm and they were open. I don’t understand one star ratings just because it was shut early. It was, obviously for a reason. If it wasn’t for Co-op, I would be having to drive to Winchester to get what I need, in the evening. C’mon, let’s be realistic.”

“A excellent cafe/bistro situated approx 10 mins walk from Winchester Station. It's a Hip & Happining place to enjoy your food. I had scrambled eggs on toast and it was lovely with a cup of pot of tea. The staff are all very friendly and very polite. Be aware it does get busy so get there early if you can. Most of the seating is inside.”

“Bulgarian wine!!!! Absolutely loved this Bulgarian wine tasting, something a bit different with wine that was surprising and thought provoking and some great information on the areas the wine came from and a lesson in how to check the acidity of white wines and the tanins in the reds. Cecile is always fun, exuberant and really gets the group engaging. Over the years we have attended 4 different wine tasting sessions with this amazing school and had a fantastic time every time. Give it a go you won't regret it.”

“Excellent Chandler's Ford micropub pub in a former shop in a modern building. Eight cask beers on handpump when I visited together with a dozen real ciders. A few tables outside. Very friendly and helpful staff.”

“Came here for lunch and I was completely blown away! Situated outside of the main town, this gem of a place was a really great find. Quality of ingredients was superb, especially the salmon. Prices were reasonable. Definitely recommend the peking duck roll, eel unagi & salmon nagiri. The menu has a ton of items so be prepared to be overwhelmed at first! There’s something for everyone. Server was really nice and attentive during our visit. 10/10”

“I recently visited Gurkha’s Inn for a birthday meal, and had a throughly enjoyable experience. The food and the service were both excellent, and everything I ate was sensational. If you’re looking for some great curries and Nepalese food in Winchester, Gurkha’s Inn is a ‘must visit’.”

“Great local pub in Winchester. We were 4 adults and 1 child, and we had 2 burgers and 2 Sunday Roast. I had the burger and it was DELICIOUS!!! Friendly and polite staff as well, the atmosphere was cosy, the decor is really lovely. Well done St James Tavern!”
