“Absolutely amazing care, Rachel Gissing and Kara were so lovely in pre op assessment. Rachel was so friendly, she put me at ease, was very thorough and informative. Kara was able to get blood out of my arm , where many other hospitals have tried, and failed , ending up having to take blood from my hand.! Great skills.x I always know I am in safe professional hands at the Nuffield. Thankyou Nikki”
“The leisure centre has recently been renovated and is now even better, with coffee facilities and other modern equipment.”
“A must visit for out of town fitness lovers! I love coming here whenever I’m in town. Finally got to try a cycle class with Andy, who was so amazing. What a wonderful community and fun opportunities to sweat in classes or simply work out at the gym! Can’t wait to return”

“I’ve been a member of this gym for 3 years now, and I have to say — the improvements the new owners have made are impressive. The facility has changed a lot over time, and mostly for the better! That said, I think it would be a great addition to have Smith machines upstairs, especially for the younger bodybuilders or those who are still developing their form and confidence. I understand if it’s not currently in the budget, but it would be an awesome upgrade to an already solid gym. Keep up the great work!”
“I wanted to say thank you to Dr Akerman and her colleagues at the Waterside Health Centre.I visited yesterday following a booked appointment, Dr Akerman is caring ,sensitive and considerate to her clients needs. We all understand the continued pressures in health care , but i was not rushed and made to feel so comfortable. Thank you Waterside Health Centre.”
“Great gym with loads of equipment and a real good atmosphere. There’s a huge range of classes, all led by instructors who clearly put the effort in. Calum, runs a few different sessions that have massively helped cut down my running niggles with dynamic, varied movements and creative sessions that always differ; plus keeping an eye on your form. Overall, really happy here.”

“I’ve been a customer of this company for 11 years and always found them very competent. Thomas managed my motor insurance renewal today and was efficient, personable and professional.”
“My happy place! The whole family are now members and we love it. Everyone is so friendly, classes are great and instructors are professional and inspiring. A great place to work out but also perfect for meeting friends for a coffee in Starbucks or a drink in the pub.”
“Went for an Aqua Christmas Do. Well organised, good venue with efficient staff.”
“Recently had an MRI scan here as a referred NHS patient. Lovely experience, very easy to get to (not much notice for the turn though), lovely staff and I was in having the procedure done at the time of the appt. Very clean and plenty of free parking.”
“Holly Hill Leisure Centre and its team provide excellent sport and fitness service and facilities and is thoroughly recommended. Annual membership costs are pretty reasonable, and even if you are not a member you can still pay-as-you-go. It has a lovely wide 25m pool and a kiddies pool too. The gym and spin room have plenty of fitness equipment, and a couple of large studios enable a lot if different classes. Despite its popularity and usage, the whole establishment is kept notably clean! The staff are friendly, knowledgable, helpful and have a ‘can-do’ attitude. The mid and upper management team are notable in that they always seem to be interacting with the staff and monitoring the running and maintenance of the whole facility in a friendly but professional way. Parking is free and rarely a problem; an adjacent coffee (and ice cream!) booth and excellent kids playground round off the experience for all ages.”
“We are from Southampton but we are rather will travel to the Romsey Rapids swimming pool when spent our time in west quay swimming pool, because it's small and there's nothing what to do .My daughter loves to go to the Romsey rapid sport complex. There is so fun and so much what to do . We were impressed with the big slide. It is worth to go there.”
“Excellent lunch. Lovely food and service in a great setting.,”
“A great pool to swim in. A good length and width for some strokes. Exceptionally clean water with slight amounts of dirt in the corners (it is very normal to see this). The changing rooms and bathrooms were very clean with intuitive lockers and a swimwear drying machine. There were lots of reclining chairs to lounge in (a good distance away from the splash zone). There were lots spa was very clean. An amazing place to go!”
“My first birth experience was very positive here last week! My birth sadly didn’t go as planned, as i needed an induction and eventually needed a c section. The Doctors, nurses and staff who carried out my surgery were very calm and overall lovely people to speak with. The atmosphere was very chilled in the operating room, this helped me massively as i was terrified of needing a c section. My son had a high infection marker after birth, as he had become distressed and had also done a poo after my waters were broken. The nursery doctors were great at starting him on antibiotics to begin fighting it early and kept me updated with test results. I would like to give a massive shoutout to every single midwife that assisted me on the transitional care / nursery ward. All of them were so so helpful and gentle with me and my little boy. We were also given a quiet room for a few days before we went home too, so my partner could stay overnight. We massively appreciate the accommodation, how we were treated and the overall service! Thank you all x”
“I am a wheelchair user and finding places that are wheelchair accessible is hard work. The staff here make me feel very welcome and help me in and out the pool with the pool lift. They are encouraging of my goals and make sure that lane swimming is just that. They have had some issues with the building yes but they also do their best to resolve it. The gym is not directly accessible by lift so when i go to do my gym workout i have to tell them im coming in advance so they open the gym door for me. But that is no hard ship. I have had a lot of good advice what i could do in the gym to help with my upper body strength as i cant do anything with my legs. I have found them very kind and welcoming and i look forward to my visits.”
“Absolute slice of heaven! Such an incredible and unique house, it feels like you’re stepping back in time. Alan is one of the loveliest people I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. He very kindly offered to take me and my horse for a ride with his gorgeous forest pony Smokey. We were out for hours talking away, even stopping at a pub with pens for the ponies. It was a lifelong dream come true, only made better by the pleasure of his company. We really enjoyed exploring the house, every wall has something historic to catch your eye. Going up to the observation tower is a must! Hope to be returning as soon as possible, having to leave was the only bad part. Would stay forever if I could!”
