βHad an amazing Baby Shower here for my daughter. 3rd December, SNOW Chris and the team went above and beyond to help. The venue was superb and afternoon teas were catered for all needs. (yummy) We can't Thank HEATH HOUSE FARM enough . Wonderful setting and great staff.β
βExcellent craft beer and gin bar. Staff are fantastic & bar is a great place to come to. Can't recommend highly enoughβ
βVery good little gem. Visited today for dinner, and greatly surprised of the quality of the pub. Inside it is absolutely spotless clean, atmosphere very cosy, and staff friendly. Food was 9/10 and service also, this due to not being double checked after we had our mains, and the veggies were microwaved and not fully cooked. Weβve noticed all the food comes on a plate, but chips and veggies separate which is a new thing and we couldnβt decide weather is working or not, as we had to share a bowl of chipβs between us. I totally recommend the pate, chicken goujons, and the pie for the main. The pie was cooked perfectly, and the beef was very very tasty and soft. Puddings 9/10, again, custard seemed to be microwaved and had some lumps inside and a jelly texture, but only few places are doing dessert in the house nowadays so its totally understandable. Weβll definitely be back as it was a worthy experience. Very good prices for food but also for the drinks considering the current markets. Thank you.β
βBelter of a pub. Brew their own beer that is unbelievably good! Great atmosphere with a proper old school boozer atmosphere. Warm open fire surrounded by traditional decor. Main room wraps around in an βLβ shape with plenty of tables. Also a large separate room and roomy outdoor covered seating area. Top drawer pub. Certainly one of the best Iβve been to!β
βLovely little gastropub, we booked in advance for a Sunday evening meal but it was fairly quiet upon our 7:45pm arrival that we found we didnβt need to. We both decided on the roast dinner for main, was toying with getting a starter but decided against, Iβm glad I did as the portion was very generous! Had a great selection of beers and wines too. Will definitely return if we are in the area.β
βI would share a photo of my Roast of the Day bap, with a generous amount of tasty beef and loads of crispy roast potatoes, but Iβve eaten the lot! This place is special. The welcome is genuine and caring. And the bread and butter pudding was delicious. I managed a quick pic of that before finishing it.β
βfirst time visited, arrrived 1:50pm on Wednesday, all desserts are Β£5 only. the service was good and the food that we ordered were tasty. buffalo chicken wings almost charged Β£1 per wing. the confit belly pork, steak pie and sea baa were delicious. both crumbles and sticky toffee pudding with custard were values for money (Β£5 per dessert on wednesday)β
βLovely traditional country restaurant/pub. Fantastic food, and very reasonable prices. I'd advise you to book a table, as it does get booked up. Really friendly staff, and importantly for me, dog friendly.β
βRudyard Lake is a beautiful spot for a walk or a paddle. The scenery is calm and picturesque, and thereβs a good mix of trails for different energy levels. A lovely place to spend a few hours outdoors away from the busy towns.β
βThe restaurant turned out to be a hit. A cozy, welcoming place with a charming atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the desserts melted in our mouth.Service at The Reform Inn is unmatched. The staff was attentive, ensuring everything was perfect without being overbearing. Their attention to detail made us feel like a VIP's!ββ
βLovely cosy coffee shop with friendly staff and a great selection of homemade vegan cakes and seasonal drinks. Feels really homey and comfortable - some folks on laptops, some chatting and others enjoying a quiet moment. Well located for the train station too.β
ββThe Habitat: Atmosphere and Environmental Fitness βThe environment of 'La Lanterna' demonstrates a remarkable adaptation for conviviality. The lighting levels were found to be optimal, avoiding both the harsh luminosity that might signal danger and the deep gloom that impedes accurate species identification. The overall ambianceβthe combination of visual, auditory, and olfactory stimuliβcreated an environment of 'Great Atmosphere', which is crucial for the successful ingestion and digestion of resources. βThe collective murmur of conversation among fellow consumers suggested a high degree of social satisfaction within the population. βThe dΓ©cor and spatial arrangement demonstrated an intelligent, calculated use of resources to promote comfort and repose, thus aiding the consumer in focusing maximum energy on the task of consumption. βHypothesis on Atmosphere: A pleasing and supportive environment reduces the consumer's physiological stress, likely enhancing the perceived success and enjoyment of the culinary offering. βThe Symbionts: Facilitation and Service βThe indigenous personnel responsible for the delivery and explanation of the specimensβthe service staffβdisplayed a highly evolved degree of efficiency and beneficial interaction. Their performance may be classified as 'Fantastic Service'. βEfficiency: The speed and accuracy of resource transfer (the food delivery) exhibited a high level of learned behavior and organizational skill. βAdaptability: Requests for minor deviations from the standard specimen preparation were met with flexible and immediate responses, highlighting a key trait of behavioural plasticity essential for pleasing a diverse consumer base. βCommunication: The interactions were polite and informative, acting as crucial intermediaries between the kitchen's production and the consumer's need for knowledge regarding the specimens. βHypothesis on Service: The facilitating species (staff) exhibits a successful symbiotic relationship with the consumer. Their competent actions maximize the consumer's enjoyment, thereby increasing the likelihood of resource return (patronage), a crucial factor in the establishment's long-term survival and prosperity. βFinal Synthesis on La Lanterna βLa Lanterna represents a highly successful ecosystem where excellent culinary specimens (Gnocchi Gorgonzola and Steak Pasta) are presented in an environment of Great Atmosphere and facilitated by Fantastic Service. This convergence of high-quality internal and external factors ensures the enterprise's evolutionary advantage in the competitive landscape of the urban dining habitat. β Outstanding.β

βI visited the Arndale Heritage Centre today with my son and it honestly warmed my heart. Barrie and team have built this place from scratch and filled it with so many fascinating things from fossils to old mining history. But what made it really special was Barrie himself. He took so much time with my little boy, explaining each fossil and piece of mining equipment with such care and enthusiasm. Watching my sons eyes light up as he listened was a moment Iβll always remember β and it meant a lot to me too. Itβs rare to meet someone so genuinely passionate, kind and generous with their time. People like Barrie are what makes the world go round, and the centre is a true reflection of the love and effort heβs put into it. We feel honoured to have met him today, and weβll definitely be back.β
βCute cafe in Holmes Chapel. Have not eaten in or experienced the back terrace yet, but have thoroughly enjoyed their oat-milk hot chocolates, cold-pressed juices, and smoothies as takeaway.β

βToday we were celebrating my sisterβs 70th Birthday and what better place to accommodate 19 of us? Some of us had been before but others hadnβt. The ones whoβd been before for the Sunday buffet couldnβt wait to come again and the others thought it was ideal. From start to finish the staff were friendly & efficient, the food was fantastic, couldnβt fault it. A really enjoyable way to celebrate a 70th Birthday with family. We will be back.β

βCracking local pub with a small, but carefully curated, selection of cask ales. We regularly visit on Thursdays for the quiz night where youβre well looked after and the midweek munch over winter (Β£8 for a pint and a good bowl of beef stew) is dangerously good! Be aware that there isnβt a regular substantial food offering but if you arrive hungry theyβll sort something out for you!β
βIt is an excellent traditional pub with a bustling atmosphere, serving fantastic Titanic beers on tap. The Plum Porter is a must if you can only have the one!β
