“Where better place can you go on a very wet Thursday afternoon!! The Tearoom at No.11 in Audlem. Always greeted with a friendly face and superb service. I choose the beautiful carrot cake and a flat white coffee. A bonus as it’s dog friendly too. Lovely lunchtime menu too. I was lucky to find a seat today, it’s so popular!”

“What a find this cafe/grooming salon is. I needed my dogs nails clipping, and when I googled if there was anywhere local I could have this done apart from the vets, it stated Charlie and co did a walk in service. We arrived no issue, the young lady in the salon was brilliant with our dog who is a rescue, so we were unsure if he would be nervous, he rushed into the grooming area no problem, we went and had a coffee and before we knew it he was done! Fabulous service we will be back. The girls are a great team. Oh and lots of doggy friends for your pouch to meet downstairs in the cafe.”

“Recently visited with my unit of Explorer scouts for a 'games night'. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. There's a huge range of games to play, suitable for a range of ages. I ordered a cappuccino which was so nice I then ordered a second one...my buzzing head has still not forgiven me! The premises are clean and tidy as are the cups and cutlery. Overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable visit and I will be visiting again and I'm sure my Explorers will too.”

    Benks

“The crisps were wonderful. But the service and atmosphere are infinitely better. There is something extra about 'The Union', or BENKS, as it was always known as to the discerning drinkers of Leek and beyond. Yes. I am old enough to remember those halcyon days! With the jukebox in the red room playing all things rock, from Alice Cooper to Zeppelin (of the Led variety) and on to Dean Martin singing 'Little Old Wine Drinking Me' - a classic singalong end to each and every glorious night in Benks! Join us now for a seriously well kept pint of ale, a game of darts, an 8 ball in the top pocket or just a friendly chat, whilst listening to live music.”

“Visited Zap this week for lunch and wasn’t disappointed. Had a bacon and cheese toastie and my friend had a cheese and onion toastie, both very tasty. There was a nice selection of cakes available too. We had a tea and a latte, both good. Lots of people in there, it looks well supported by local people. Friendly service by the owner Asma, who was busy on a Monday lunchtime. We will return and I would recommend.”

Menu is varied, TVs not too intrusive and a good selection of drinks including the local gin. Take plenty of cash as they do not take cards. (they now take cards, still a fantastic pub:) I would travel to visit this pub but am lucky enough to live 2 mins away!”

His rejuvenation of the building is astounding. The attention to detail and historic sympathetic refurbishment is a real nod to the past.”

She arranged early check in for us to store our luggage ahead of a wedding, she left some cute thoughtful touches in the room for the bride to be, and delivered breakfast early for us. She also arranged for some property to be posted back after we left it there. I would 100% stay here again if I was in the area. Especially to see her lovely dog Ella again! Thank you Karina ”
