βFood always freshly prepared and delicious. Visited today for my wife's birthday. Ordered 4 different mains for our party each of which were tasty, fresh and piping hot. Recommend booking as this place is (deservedly) always busy.β
βReally great plant-based food. Edit: Unfortunately, the owner has decided to start serving non-vegan items. This means we won't be visiting again as we can go to places like that much closer to home. I will leave my rating as is, because the food was good, and so was the service, but I would never go back due to his reaction to responses on social media - and then his ridiculous commentary in the tabloid press.β
βThe Horseshoe in Astbury is an absolute gem! The food is nothing short of amazing β beautifully cooked, full of flavor, and presented with care. Whether you're enjoying a hearty meal or a lighter option, the quality truly stands out. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a charming rustic vibe that makes it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always ensuring that you feel welcomed and well looked after. It's the ideal place for any occasion, whether you're dining with family, meeting friends, or just looking for a cozy escape with great food. Highly recommended!β
βWhat a splendid pub with delicious beerβ¦who could ask for more ? Friendly, helpful staff, great atmosphere. Thoroughly recommended !!β
βReally enjoyed our meal at The Queens. There is a good selection of hearty food and deserts. Service was excellent. I loved the Beef and Merlot Pie and my wife really enjoyed the Chicken Leonardo Pasta. The portions are generous so bring an appetite. If we ever come back to the area this will be high on our list of places to revisit.β
βThis is a wonderful little place, helping those with learning difficulties, such a friendly welcoming place, staff are second to none. Lovely simple homemade quality food. Do book though this is necessary because so busy. Lots of quirky goods to buy, plants & few animals. Would recommend a visitβ
βPopped in for a quick drink with a friend. Lovely place, very cozy! Sadly didn't eat there, but looking forward to returning when I'm next in the area.β
βWorking in the area needed to use the facilities so I stopped by, staff were super friendly, didnβt expect it to be so warm of an environment and the food looked lovely as I walked through, will definitely be stopping off to eat here when Iβm off the clock one weekendβ
βabsolute treasure in centre of Buxton! (honestly nearly didnβt pop in but sooooo glad we did) ! Delicious matcha latte and THE BEST GF Vegan cake I have ever eaten: Almond and pistachio torte. Staff are lovely and friendly and (NB we called in to a Pudding Emporium around the corner to enquire if we could have a cuppa - got extremely frosty reception) so happy to have discovered Chakra longe!β
βGreat welcome, fast service, beautifully presented and tasty food. Everything on the menu looked greatβ
βLovely quiet location. Good simple food and drinks. Reasonable prices.β
βWhat a fantastic selection of teas and coffees! I really enjoyed my drink. My pastry was lovely and soft, even if the pasty filling itself was a touch dry. Definitely worth a visit for a beverage!β
βHighly recommend!!! wonderful food. Great dessert, and brilliant service. you should really come.β
βAs they say a sweet shop for grown ups. Excellent selection and choice of drinks, outstanding service. Ever changing line both behind the bar, on the shelves and in the chillers. Great place to hunt down some hard to find beers, particularly for Lambic and Sour connoisseurs.β
βHave been buying bubble tea from here for just over 2 years and this is honestly the best bubble tea place in Stoke!! The customer service is absolutely amazing! I was served by Safa she was extremely kind and made my drinks really quickly. Thank you!!β
βWhat a find this cafe/grooming salon is. I needed my dogs nails clipping, and when I googled if there was anywhere local I could have this done apart from the vets, it stated Charlie and co did a walk in service. We arrived no issue, the young lady in the salon was brilliant with our dog who is a rescue, so we were unsure if he would be nervous, he rushed into the grooming area no problem, we went and had a coffee and before we knew it he was done! Fabulous service we will be back. The girls are a great team. Oh and lots of doggy friends for your pouch to meet downstairs in the cafe.β
βLovely dining experience. Great food and surprised by the large portion size of the roast dinner. Attentive staff. Would highly recommend and will be returningβ
βPopped in for the first time today and was given a piece of cake alongside my coffee as it's their birthday! Happy 4th year birthday team!β
βDonβt listen to the haters. Anyone can cherry pick some tiny negative details. This was an exquisite and generous offering which surprised and delighted. It enabled a group of school friends to reunite. We were given the best seat in the house with views of the river. Nice decor throughout. Service was well informed and pleasant without being intrusive. Recommend the cheese course. Very memorable.β
βRecently visited with my unit of Explorer scouts for a 'games night'. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. There's a huge range of games to play, suitable for a range of ages. I ordered a cappuccino which was so nice I then ordered a second one...my buzzing head has still not forgiven me! The premises are clean and tidy as are the cups and cutlery. Overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable visit and I will be visiting again and I'm sure my Explorers will too.β
βGreat place in the centre of Whitchurch, great value food, fast friendly service, pleasant atmosphere. Lovely breakfast (Β£3:99 before 11am !) Revisit in March 24. Still wonderful, upped all scores to 5* exceptional.β
βWhenever we are visiting from Scotland, we make a beeline for this bar. It is very warm and welcoming, the beer is good and we just love it!β
βOrdered a cake for a 60th birthday and just wow! Very simple and easy to order over the phone and collect (or have delivered). Cake looked and tasted amazing. Outstanding place and staff, will definitely be back for a milkshake or two. Thank you so much!!β
βGreat little places tucked out the way serving great food by friendly and helpful staff. We had the breakfast and big breakfast which were both very tasty and well cooked, would recommend.β
βBooked Air of the Dog for 21st birthday and we were not disappointed. The guys setting up were so nice, very friendly and helpful. The pub itself was amazing. It definitely had the wow factor. The package is definitely value for money. I'm now trying to think of another reason to have a party so that I can book it again. Thanks Matt and the guys for helping to make it a memorable event that all my guests enjoyed.β
βI always love a trip to the Summerhouse! Fresh, delicious coffee and cakes and a lovely atmosphere. Miguel is a lovely host!β
βAmazing again, had afternoon tea. The quality and quantity are just brilliant. I will keep coming back for more.β
βA real gem of a pub. Had the fortune to be in here when the landlord Steve was able to give the customers a quick history of the pub and his grandmother who ran it for 40 years until she was 80. His rejuvenation of the building is astounding. The attention to detail and historic sympathetic refurbishment is a real nod to the past.β
βI stayed in the Eagle's Nest apartment while workng for a week in Stafford, only 15-20 minutes away. Helen and Andy have curated a wonderful old building into a delightful combination of B&B plus the flat. I had a warm welcome (the B&B bit - so much better than a code and a lockbox) with the offer of a complementary home made flapjack on my arrival. I was shown up to the flat and around it, so that all thereafter was simple. Helen is enthusiastic about the house and its history and was a great host - the welcoming bowl of fruit and biscuits is always a nice touch. Plenty to do in and around Eccleshall and Helen showed me to a 5K into the countryside from the house that I did a couple of times. Pubs and food in Eccleshall. Give it a go.β
βGreat place for lunch, or home made cake and a drink. Friendly staff and lovely well priced menu. There is a freezer full of delicious home cooked food to take home and heat. Roadside parking is limited outside, but many car parks within a few minute walk. Well worth a visit!β
