“Glad I found this place since moving into the area. But it stops me trying other places because it always so good. Stuffed crust Hawaiian for me every time. Mango peri strips are next level to. Tried the wings once. That was a meh. Sometimes the pizza comes a little cold. But they are always fast and the food taste great.”

“Where do we start? Thank you, thankyou Zoe and the team for hosting our daughters wedding 27.6.25. Nothing was too much trouble.. everyone was so friendly, the pub was decorated to perfection in a relaxed country floral theme. The flowers decorating the venue were stunning. The food was plentiful, utterly delicious and presented beautifully. There were so many little personal touches that completed the day .The dj kept everyone on the dance floor and again nothing was too much trouble. The Windmill is a real gem..thankyou xx”

“We came on a date night and it was a great experience. I had heard that the place had changed hands and I thought it reasonable to give it a go. I'm so glad that I did. The food was lovely, no issues there and brilliant portions (and more than happy for you to take leftovers home!). However, the star of the show was the service. The gent was lovely, attentive without being overbearing, but also willing to pop in suggestions when asked. The best service that I've had in a long while.”

“Came in on the 29/09/25 around 13:30. Ordered a drink and a buffalo burger. Honestly best hot and spicey burger I've had in a long time. Had the same burger in other spoons and have been very disappointed. Who every was in the kitchen. They understand hot to make a burger listed on the menu as hot, HOT!”

“Excellent customer service. Lovely ambience, nice non intrusive music. Went for lunch here. Waited a bit for our meal to be ready, however the drinks were so tasty we had a strawberry and lime one and another with coconut and pineapple - absolutely loved these mocktails. Had very good chat while we had our drinks and waited for the meals. Paella was tasty. Meals were well seasoned.”

“Went today 1/10/25 for carvery lunch. Not been the Plough for a couple of years. The bar staff friendly. The carvery selection was excellent and nice and hot. Also I noticed the server of carvery was checking the meats with a thermometer and writing it down. The waitress Emma was very friendly. We will recommend the Plough and most certainly be returning again.”

“Cooker broke so was a last minute thing on a sunday. Both the cheese pie and lasagne were home made and were Amazing. Food was hot and prices were reasonable for the portion sizes. Will definitely be ordering again. Thank you”

“Visited for the first time today after recommendation by our daughter. Had a mega breakfast and a large breakfast which included toast and hot drinks. Food was hot, tasty and well presented and two large empty plates later says it all. Staff are really friendly and helpful and there's ample parking outside. Will definitely be here again soon and have already recommended it to others. Keep up the great work.”

“We visited here after a trip to a National Trust property. We parked outside here to go to a pub further up the road & expected it to be closed when we came back, but they were still open at 9.10pm. Which was very lucky for us! The staff were so friendly & the food was all delicious. We ordered mixed kebab meat, fish, steak pie, large sausage & large chips. The prices are very good & the portions are very generous. As it was near closing, they gave us a large battered sausage & 3 potato fritters for free. We mentioned that we were going to share the food whilst sat in the car, as we aren’t local & asked if we could have 3 spare trays to make it easier. They went one step better by giving us 3 trays & offering for us to sit inside at a table, as they still needed to do their cleaning. We gladly took them up on this offer & thoroughly enjoyed everything. Such excellent & friendly service. We will definitely return here if we’re ever in the area again :-)”

“Was coming home from work last week and ended up going in Philly's friends in Meir and had the Philly's combo box amazing food and was really happy with it. I have got to say most probably one of the best takeaways I've ever had the food was cooked really well and it was very well presented. So tonight I had to go again and the staff are amazing and helpful but the food was just so good I'm going again tomorrow night amazing food thank you to the chef. If your going have a takeaway please try here you will not be disappointed and you get value for money.”
