“Ordered from here on a Tuesday night while on a short break in the area. We got the meal for two for £22 (I think), with two pizzas (we got margherita and pepperoni), cheesy garlic, six BBQ wings and two cans. Did this through the website - nice and easy. Before collecting I needed to add a pizza to the order so phoned up and was told it was two for one Tuesday so I got an extra vegetable and meat feast for £11. The staff in the shop were very friendly and polite, and all the food was great. Pizzas were generously topped and the bases nice and crispy. Highly recommend.”

“Absolutely amazing, very polite on the phone and inside when I came to pickup, even opened the door for me as I left. She said over the phone it would take 10 minutes and sure enough there was zero wait and it was ready! Amazing value for money, the quality of food was out of this world, highly recommend!”

“The best oat cakes in Leek, lovely friendly staff and when I asked if they could make me a ham salad sandwich to take hiking, they included some Mini Chocolate Creams. “Apart from selling stationary (Yes! Ryman sell stationary, unheard of right!!) this Ryman has a Western Union Counter. Unlike some of the smaller shops who just tell you theirs is broken or they don't have any money, this WU works! This review will be focusing on my experience in this store with WU. The staff knew what they were doing (which is more than the other shops I tried) and the whole process of receiving funds was simple. Staff were polite and the store was very clean and tidy too. There were a few folk loitering about near the enterence awaiting their vice but the store can't help this. I would recommend Ryman as a Western Union store and the sheer range of stationary available is mind blowing. Who knew you need more than a pen, pencil and ruler!”

“Tried Caprinos for the first time ever and i was blown away by the quality of the pizza. So many option to choose from i felt a bit spoiled . The pizza was amazing great crust, steaming hot on arrival , by far one of the best pizza's i have had in a long time. The sides were also amazing. “I will be honest, the last time I went to PDP it was horrendous. There was no atmosphere, they got our meals wrong and it was just genuinely bad. Fast forward to yesterday and it was INCREDIBLE. Back to its normal self. The food was immense, they were so hospitable for the kids. Well done everyone. You made a very poor experience previously, become an excellent experience now. “I was planning to pop in for a set menu dinner on Sunday and I got surprised with a £11.95 buffet being served as well. I had a quick look at what food was there and decided to give it a go. Once I sat down I received a poppadom and a tray of sauces which were really good. I then headed of for some starters. Samosas were so so but there was also very tasty chicken, some kebab style pieces another starter that I don't know and one of the nicest bhajis I ever had. I regret not having more of them as they quickly disappeared :) I then moved on to mains - there were six available to choose from and I had some saag lamb, chicken tikka and a beef curry. I also saw a veg curry and khorma but I'm not a big fan of the mild ones so I haven't tried. Curries were really nice and a member of staff also asked if I would like a naan and I asked for a garlic one (I assumed that they are extra but it was included in the price). There were spiced potatoes with spinach, rice and other side dish available. The curries were really nice and I saw the staff members top up the starters few times while I was there. One of the curries got replaced with a different one when it was getting empty and it was a surprisingly hot, very tasty chicken curry. The food was enjoyable, members of the staff were kind and attentive. For that price it's definitely worth giving it a go and the guys deserved their tip. Well done!”

“Lovely little restaurant, good was insanely delicious, everything came out fresh and hot. Food came out very fast left like no more than 15mins. Child's pizza was lovely my child ate the whole thing. And said the icecream was nice. Staff (blonde lady on entrance) super friendly and very helpful. “Me and my partner had a takeaway from here last night. Rang before hand to double check allergens and some menu items, guy on the phone was knowledgeable, we didn’t feel like a burden asking. Takeaway came within the time specified, delivery driver was well presented and polite. And the food was unreal on top of it. Everything we had tasted amazing, especially the fish pakora, it was all piping hot. We couldn’t have asked for anymore.”

“Went for the first time this week and I've been looking for a good Indian restaurant for a while. I'm veggie, so tried the Paneer Makhani and it was delicious. Unlike other places I've been, this one had plenty of paneer, it was amazing. I had gone to another place and it barely had five cubes, it was ridiculous. I'll definitely return here and I'll order from here, too, in future. Staff were super lovely, too.”

“We were on the lookout for a spontaneous dinner and drinks spot and were pleased to stumble upon The House of the Rising Sun. From the moment we arrived, the customer service stood out—they made sure we were accommodated even though we didn’t have a reservation. Since it was a last-minute night out, we ended up seated at the high chairs, which were a bit uncomfortable, especially if you’re dressed up (like in a tight shirt dress). The interior design is impressive—stylish and atmospheric, though a little too dim for dining. It feels more like a place that’s tailored for drinks and conversation. One standout feature is the bar with its aquarium-style backsplash—absolutely eye-catching. We tried the Teriyaki Beef and Chicken Katsu. The katsu was excellent—crispy, flavorful, and definitely best enjoyed with rice. The beef, on the other hand, was slightly chewy and not as tender as expected. For drinks, we had the classic Mojito and their signature cocktail, Land of Smiles. The latter was a highlight—refreshing with a unique spicy kick that really elevated the experience. Overall, The House of the Rising Sun is a lovely spot for a date night, especially if you’re after a cozy ambiance and creative cocktails. We’d definitely go back—hopefully with a reservation next time!”

“Lovely place. Very good food, not done with lots of oil but full of flavour. Friendly staff. Good amount of seating for the size of the place. A few places to park near. Customer Lavatory available (disabled Friendly). Would happily return to dine or takeaway, same we're not local.”
