“After being left hanging at Longton Argos who clearly just didn't want to help, we drove to Stoke Sainsburys Argos. A man named Chris spoke to us, gave us advice on how to get an online purchase, then attempted to order our item for us in store. He arranged for the item to be delivered to my house saving me the hassle of trying to do online stuff. Very grateful to him, I believe he went above and beyond! He certainly didnt reflect his Grumpy Elf tshirt! Longton staff, shame on you.”

“Went to buy some running shoes which I and my daughter had never had before. The staff (Rach & Chris) were absolutely brilliant, they could not do enough for us. We bought the shoes thanks to these 2 staff members. Excellent customer service.”

“Went to the store yesterday with an issue and lady at the till was very polite and helpful she was breath of fresh air. The lady at the till had to go speak to the manager (Anna) with my case and the pair went extra mile and was very pleased with the service I received. Keep up the good work ladies and you are true asset to Argos. Its a shame I can not remember the ladies name at payment counter. Visited the store about 5pm if it helps.”

“I'm not giving you a bad star rating as I have yet to get in the shop....you need to update your website!! It says you are open on a Monday, I came across your shop on a monday last month and saw a jacket in window I liked, checked website which said open on mondays, thought I'd try again yesterday, travelling about 20miles, checked website, said open til 5.30, you were closed again! So I found a jacket in another shop, please update your website before you lose more customers.”

“The service we received from Kings for our wedding suits was fabulous and personal throughout. Nothing was too much trouble and they were generous with their time. The suits looked great on the day, having been tailored by the on-site seamstress. Particularly, they all understood the additional needs of an autistic child and handled him with kind respect. “Went in initially to get a tie for a funeral I was attending. I explained I had a dark blue suit so the chap went through some options with me to compliment my suit… settled on a standard black tie… when I got home I realised my shirt had a mark on it and wouldn’t have time to have it cleaned and pressed so popped back in and he showed me some options from different price ranges. Got my size perfect first time and even steamed it for me… great service, very knowledgeable and great prices. Clothing seemed very well priced especially for a small independent retailer… the range was surprising too, lots of stock, well lit. Very happy customer will most certainly use them again for my future needs.”

“Bought a sun hat for my grandson it’s perfect fit - I used the on size line guide it works: quality is excellent. My comment and it’s not a criticism:is that my grandson gets prick heat and is prone to getting sunburn on the back of his neck. Obviously the store doesn’t know this: We were hoping the rear of the hat would be made a little bit longer. I don’t think he will be the only person with this issue: perhaps a business opportunity.”

“Very nice staff who were quick to ask me what I needed and were very much on the ball with what those requirements would entail. They are also rather anecdotal which shows a passion for outdoors activity and a practical know-how. The shop is also very well organised with a clear presentation of the different sections of items which means a quick shop is possible if you're needing to grab some essentials (which is something reflected in many Millets/Blacks outdoor shops). This shop also offers a student discount which is a massive help considering the costliness of certain items. All in all, a very handy shop which is well kept and well organised: I can't fault it”
