“We stopped in for Sunday lunch today. Don’t be fooled, the place looks unassuming but it packs a punch! We had the pork belly, the beef and the kids had pizza. Utterly delicious. First off you can order yorkies as a side AND a pot of gravy. I am always wanting more of both. Secondly the meat was cooked perfectly there was a great selection of veggies and the roast pots were yum. The portions were just right as well and we were able to sit for a moment and relax whilst the kids went into the playground. The staff were also brilliant, so friendly and helpful. The interior is unrecognisable from its previous incarnation as a pub - and I believe the log burner that is soon to be added will further increase the warm atmosphere. As for the food - it was stunning! My husband even remarked it was the best he’d ever tasted - and he’s a fussy so and so! I hope the fact that it’s only a few minutes walk from both the station and the town centre will see more people visit as this place truly deserves a place on the good food map. Worth every penny!”
