“Returned to CW2 after a while and ate with a friend. Boy, it was so good! I had the monthly special - Wal-Nut case, walnut, pear and rocqufort cheese - it worked so well! My friend had the Chicago smash (see pics) whilst we had parmesan truffle fries and onion rings. So fresh, so good. Will not be waiting so long again before returning.”

“Didn't eat here but have had the food recommended by several friends. Lovely large Beer Garden, bright clean interior. Both the landlord and landlady were very welcoming and friendly with good sense of humour. We will be visiting again. Visited today for Sunday lunch. We both chose the Sunday roast beef. The presentation was very good, the vegetables were fresh and cooked well, the beef was succulent, very tender and flavoursome. We said we would like all of the veg on offer,so we received Mashed potatoes, Roast potatoes, green cabbage, peas, Broccoli, cauliflower, parsnip and carrots. We received a gravy boat each, which tasted really good, and meant I had plenty to fill my Yorkshire pudding with. We are definitely going to come here for meals again, and we will be bringing our family with us. Ps. I had eaten some of my lunch before I decided to take the enclosed photo.”

“I visit Café on the Cop weekly to buy breakfast sandwiches for my office team. And I recently ordered some cupcakes from them for a corporate event. I ordered 24 vanilla cupcakes filled with jam, with a colourful rainbow theme. Safe to say we weren't disappointed, the cupcakes were delish and went down very well with everyone. “Love this cafe - it has a nice upstairs area with more seating (including some comfy chairs and sofas). I have had sandwiches and oatcakes here in the past and both have been good. Tea is always really nice here - they have a loose leaf tea which is very good. The cakes are excellent too, definitely recommend. The only improvement I would make is to speed up the food service a little (not too much, doesn't need to be super fast), but the food service is very slow so you can't go there if you're in a hurry!”
