“Great place for water sports. We took our own SUP which was only £12.50 each for the day. There is parking, clean toilets, changing rooms, a hose to rinse off your board afterwards and a outside shower to rinse yourself off. Nice friendly staff and you can hire SUP, canoes etc with taster sessions. Such a great day would recommend to anyone.”
“Me and my daughters visited this wildlife park and it was a wonderful visit. The animals all look well cared for with plenty of space to move. The accessibility for wheelchair users was fantastic. Platforms made it easy to view animals and the walk around areas were not too small. Information about each animal was clear and easy to understand for younger children. There was an option to feed wallabies or deer, we opted for wallabies and were amazed when a joey popped its head out of its mom's pouch. Although my daughters are adults, the play area was fantastic, we would have definitely spent a fair while there when they were younger. Definitely a place to visit. If there were any recommendations for the park, it would be to have some Makaton signs by the enclosures.”
“I had a wonderful day at Tittesworth visitor centre while my husband took part in an ultra marathon. The center was well-organized with very friendly staff. The food was good and the drinks were reasonably priced. There was ample parking and great accessibility for wheelchair users. The disabled toilet was a bit challenging to access due to the door, but it was clean. There were plenty of disabled parking spots close to the main paths. The paths around the lake were great for those with strollers and wheelchairs. They also offer trampers for hire if you want to relax and enjoy the stunning views.”
“A great day out paddle boarding canoeing walking along woodland trails parts are wheelchair friendly take out meals and drinks available toilets open though reduced at the moment for safety plenty of hand gel stations a picturesque reservoir to walk around.”
“Enjoyed a nice walk through the hills at this place - signposted slightly oddly from one direction as the sign is beyond the entrance, but we managed to find it in the end and walked to the top of the hill to be rewarded with an excellent view. There was one slightly odd track that took us down the back of people's gardens, was very overgrown and then got to a part that was completely blocked by one person's fence, so we had to turn around and go back. Not sure why the entrance to that is still available as I would've thought it'd be better to block that part as well, or at least put up a sign!”
“Good place for family day out, very good play ground, surprisely very clean”
“This is far the best park we've taken our 3 year old grandson to , it's absolutely lovely & we can't fault it , so much to do. Can't wait to take him again & to add take a picnic along too ... Definitely be spending more time on our next visit . There is a swimming pool on site & roller skating also ... shame all parks are not to this standard .”
“Loved it wish I could have had a look around inside”
“My new favourite take away! Chicken tikka on garlic naan is stunning”
“Really scenic place to visit with amazing views! Can be done as a circular walk starting at hen cloud next to the tea room all the way across hen cloud and onto the roaches to the road at the end, then follow the road back to the starting point. 100% recommend!”
“This is an excellent facility.... Everything was outstanding. Our dogs, Bertie and Maddie enjoyed their 50 minutes of madness on a farm in a large secure field..... For £9! Parking on site, water kindly provided for the dogs and a few seats just in case us owners get tired watching our fur babies! There is an indoor barn for rent and a small shop selling eggs cakes etc. We're returning tomorrow for another 50 minutes. Bookings can be done online and payment either over the phone or at the gate...... Pop the cash in the wall box on entry. Highly recommend a visit with your dog/so here.”
“Rudyard Lake is a beautiful spot for a walk or a paddle. The scenery is calm and picturesque, and there’s a good mix of trails for different energy levels. A lovely place to spend a few hours outdoors away from the busy towns.”
“Great place for a walk in nature, beautiful and peaceful, plenty of benches to rest on along the way and an excellent kids trail. Will definitely visit again when in the area.”
“What a lovely museum, with working water wheels and such friendly and knowledgeable volunteers! We arrived with about 20 minutes until close and Nick gave us the full tour with such enthusiasm and perfectly aimed to capture the kids imagination. Highly recommend this small, but perfectly formed gem. Also learnt loads we didn’t know about the local industry and entrepreneurialism from hundreds of years ago.”
“I'd review this more of Tittesworth reservoir. Great family place, scenic walks, great kids play area and great place for a picnic.”
