“Wonderful, independent wine shop with an amazing range of gins and local wines. Lovely staff too.”
“The staff here are great. I normally use the click and collect and they always carry the order to the car. I sometimes pick up some beers or other offers I see while I'm in there too. Nothing is ever a problem.”
“Kate Jones, you need to get a Solero and calm down, though I suggest you dont get it from Castle Stores. This is a nice place and I do appreciate it being on my doorstep. I guess it it a little more costly, but the convenience is well with the meagre price inflation. Thanks.”
“Great range of Prosecco and other wines.Always reliable prompt friendly service with fast delivery.”
“Popped in for a traditional pint of ale while over from Australia visiting my father in hospital. The old style interior added a rustic charm, typical of what you hope to find in an English pub. Didn't eat while I was there but the menu on the table looked like a good selection of pub classics at reasonable prices. Next time I'm in the area I'm definitely going back to the Windmill.”
“Went in looking for a specific vintage and region and found something even better for a fantastic price. Manager was helpful but didn’t try to sell me something I didn’t want. Easy in, easy out, no complaints, likely to go back.”
“Excellent shop and great customer service from the staff. They are very knowledgeable about the products and always have a smile. So if you are in this area or passing through,,then call in.”
“Have been to 54 restaurants in Stoke. This restaurant by far has the best naan breads! Service is great and staff are extremely friendly. Highly recommend!”
“Just amazing. Perfect level of attentiveness from staff, atmosphere pitched just right between quiet and noisy (enjoyed listening to post-OK Computer era Radiohead all night!) and the food was incomparable. Every dish was a new and surprising adventure for the tastebuds. Never would have picked Whitchurch as a culinary hotspot but Wild Shropshire is single-handedly making it so.”
“Lovely little boozer. Absolutely what a pub should be. Decent price for a pint and busy due to that.”
“On arrival the owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. On a Friday and Saturday its a tasting menu. Each course was absolutely delicious. The quantity of everything served was high. A real taste sensation The basil icecream was a beautiful surprise. All areas were spotlessly clean. Service was spot on. Highly recommended restaurant.”
“Went today with my boss the breakfast sandwiches were huge great price .never had an oatcake before (brummies) so the owner treated us to one on the house owner was really pleasant and if your passing you cant go wrong food is good and priced well”
“Lovely friendly local pub. Great prices and good range of well kept beers. Impressive gine selection too. Very good pork pies and rolls available at the bar.”
“A fantastic, regularly updated menu of monster sandwiches and other good stuff, all served by friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere. The Supergreek salad is top banana. Even the tea is a cut above the rest. My favourite spot for dinner in Stoke-on-Trent.”
“Highly recommend!!! wonderful food. Great dessert, and brilliant service. you should really come.”
“Popped in for a quick drink with a friend. Lovely place, very cozy! Sadly didn't eat there, but looking forward to returning when I'm next in the area.”
“Five star service from the owners at drinkstop. They went over and beyond the call of duty to try and source a drink that they (and no other off-licence in the area) had in stock. They even checked several cash and carries to try and find the alcohol that I required and kept me updated each day when they were unable to source it. Just amazing customer service and I'm so impressed! Thank you so much”
“Start from the location just next to train station and in the heart of this beautiful town. The second thing which make this place highlighted is amazing selection of craft beers from IPA to stout & sour. Third is awesome atmosphere which I really like. Good vibes and friendly approachable people in the bar. Specially I like the wall full of colour beer pump clips. Service was good and the prices were very pocket friendly. Hope after all these points I recommend it. Worth to visit”
“Great place, very interesting decor, friend staff and exquisite food. We really enjoyed our meal here. Best to book. Venue has events also.”
“Really nice little casual fine dining restaurant. Cosy place, good attentive service and excellent food. The gravadlax starter was very refreshing and the chicken vol au vent tasty. The The roast dinners were good and my pork chop with tempura corn was outstanding very well cooked. Desserts were tasty as well, a good example of Tiramisu and great cherry bakewell. Enjoyed the experience, would like to try the tasting menu next time, not cheap but worth it for high quality food.”
“Most delicious authentic takeaway we've ever had. Brilliant service, quick delivery, bit expensive and portion size could be better but definitely will be ordering again.”
“Absolutely lovely place . Friendly staff , great service , amazing food and really good value. We will be returning for sure .”
“Very good little gem. Visited today for dinner, and greatly surprised of the quality of the pub. Inside it is absolutely spotless clean, atmosphere very cosy, and staff friendly. Food was 9/10 and service also, this due to not being double checked after we had our mains, and the veggies were microwaved and not fully cooked. We’ve noticed all the food comes on a plate, but chips and veggies separate which is a new thing and we couldn’t decide weather is working or not, as we had to share a bowl of chip’s between us. I totally recommend the pate, chicken goujons, and the pie for the main. The pie was cooked perfectly, and the beef was very very tasty and soft. Puddings 9/10, again, custard seemed to be microwaved and had some lumps inside and a jelly texture, but only few places are doing dessert in the house nowadays so its totally understandable. We’ll definitely be back as it was a worthy experience. Very good prices for food but also for the drinks considering the current markets. Thank you.”
“Always a friendly atmosphere. A good range of beers available including plenty of choice from their gin collection. Always happy to provide help and advice with drinks and mixers.”
“The restaurant turned out to be a hit. A cozy, welcoming place with a charming atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the desserts melted in our mouth.Service at The Reform Inn is unmatched. The staff was attentive, ensuring everything was perfect without being overbearing. Their attention to detail made us feel like a VIP's!””
“The Habitat: Atmosphere and Environmental Fitness The environment of 'La Lanterna' demonstrates a remarkable adaptation for conviviality. The lighting levels were found to be optimal, avoiding both the harsh luminosity that might signal danger and the deep gloom that impedes accurate species identification. The overall ambiance—the combination of visual, auditory, and olfactory stimuli—created an environment of 'Great Atmosphere', which is crucial for the successful ingestion and digestion of resources. The collective murmur of conversation among fellow consumers suggested a high degree of social satisfaction within the population. The décor and spatial arrangement demonstrated an intelligent, calculated use of resources to promote comfort and repose, thus aiding the consumer in focusing maximum energy on the task of consumption. Hypothesis on Atmosphere: A pleasing and supportive environment reduces the consumer's physiological stress, likely enhancing the perceived success and enjoyment of the culinary offering. The Symbionts: Facilitation and Service The indigenous personnel responsible for the delivery and explanation of the specimens—the service staff—displayed a highly evolved degree of efficiency and beneficial interaction. Their performance may be classified as 'Fantastic Service'. Efficiency: The speed and accuracy of resource transfer (the food delivery) exhibited a high level of learned behavior and organizational skill. Adaptability: Requests for minor deviations from the standard specimen preparation were met with flexible and immediate responses, highlighting a key trait of behavioural plasticity essential for pleasing a diverse consumer base. Communication: The interactions were polite and informative, acting as crucial intermediaries between the kitchen's production and the consumer's need for knowledge regarding the specimens. Hypothesis on Service: The facilitating species (staff) exhibits a successful symbiotic relationship with the consumer. Their competent actions maximize the consumer's enjoyment, thereby increasing the likelihood of resource return (patronage), a crucial factor in the establishment's long-term survival and prosperity. Final Synthesis on La Lanterna La Lanterna represents a highly successful ecosystem where excellent culinary specimens (Gnocchi Gorgonzola and Steak Pasta) are presented in an environment of Great Atmosphere and facilitated by Fantastic Service. This convergence of high-quality internal and external factors ensures the enterprise's evolutionary advantage in the competitive landscape of the urban dining habitat. Outstanding.”
