“One of the best breakfast that I had in UK, seriously, they are amazing. From outside the restaurant/shop doesn't look much, but once you pass their door, you will be surprised by a counter full of amazing products, some of them local. The restaurant go all the way to the back and they also have a beautiful garden. The food is all good quality, nicely prepared and delicious. I recommend trying any of the local products that they sell. They are delicious. I do recommend them!”

“I had booked a table for dinner as all my friends rave about the food. They weren't wrong!!! We ordered the set menu as well as an additional three dishes and everything was super delicious and freshly prepared. The Asian slaw is absolutely incredible, best I've ever had! As usual we had ordered too much food but I took the leftovers home to have for lunch. The staff were welcoming and seated us straight away and we're attentive taking our orders etc. It's not the most romantic place to go and eat but overall the atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was really busy. I cannot wait to go back!”

“Had a really great meal here for my birthday. Everyone was happy with their food, my steak was cooked perfectly. Great wines too. The waiting staff were attentive and they even sent over a glass of prosecco as a present. Highly recommend! The one thing I would say is that they could do with a bit of background music for some ambience. Otherwise, can't fault it!”

“Was in Southwell for the day and we were looking on internet and came across the old ship so we decided to visit. Friendly, helpful and polite staff the place was very clean and tidy. The food was very reasonably priced and very good quality and a good range of choice. Would recommend to others.”

“This was my second visit to Bronte & Co and I’m already looking forward to the next! The venue is beautiful and has such a warm, inviting atmosphere. I had the shakshuka today and it was absolutely delicious – full of flavour. I finished with the baklava, which was a little sweet for my taste but still really tasty. The staff are always so friendly and make you feel genuinely valued. A lovely experience all round!”

“We had a very good time here, the smoked haddock chowder was lovely and the prawn spring rolls were delicious. We also had as a main course the crispy pork with red sauce with jasmine rice and the Tai style Roast duck with egg fried rice were also good and decent portions for us. The only downside was that the above and a bottle of wine cost a total of £80.00 which I find is more of a special occasion restaurant rather than a monthly treat. Although this was a very nice meal.”

“What a lovely evening with my family the service and the food was absolutely fantastic. Plus plus a great selection of drinks if you are not driving. I fully recommend don't eat all day if you are going as the selection of dishes is unbelievable, savory and sweet. the age range we took was 8yrs to 60yrs and they loved it. “Recommend the lemon chicken, the nicest I have ever eaten, all cooked fresh, with chips or rice. Also the chicken balls, proper chunks of chicken in a really nice light and crispy batter. I had a set three course menu and the portions were generous. It also has a license for drinks.”

Good value for money.People with reduced mobility can also visit the restaurant. For me, the food lacked a bit of salt and it was not the usual intense seasoning. “Fantastic restaurant with amazing food and super friendly service. You step in from the A60 and you are transported to the almalfi coast with a great Italian restaurant. We had an excellent meal out for my dads 70th birthday. The staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much to help him celebrate. The food - wow! The food was just fantastic. Great portion sizes and so delicious. The calzone was just amazing and the profiteroles were just sensational. It was my first time visiting and it won’t be my last. Great place.”
