“Found this by chance when walked near the Victoria Town Hall. I saw good review on Google map and never regret with my decision to give a try and the influence of the good reviews. The lamb is super yummy, when I start eating I was doubting was I ordering a beef steak but it wasn’t, is lamb. I’m very impressed with the texture and the taste of the gravy. Excellent! The appetisers and snacks are all yummy and served in style. This is a place where you see the restaurant manager guiding the trainee students and they execute their role up to standard. I’m not sure who is the lady that guiding the trainees but I just very certain she is a great person to take care of the restaurant and the trainees. She oversees the overall services and the training. Impressive! And Appreciate!”

“Very intimate venue with a classic decor. Generous portion sizes and great flavours, absolutely wholesome food. Starters - goat cheese parcel and king scallops were fantastic. The thermidor sauce on the scallops was a highlight. Mains - steak dolceletta and lamb ragu raviolini. Both fantastic and loved the homemade pasta. Steak had some very complimentary blue cheese. Desserts - were both not really dessert people due to poor quality in restaurants but these were lovely, I had the pavlova and it was massive but still light. If we had to critique, the service felt a little rushed and the ambience was affected by the music that was dicey/dated Would go again 4 alcoholic drinks 2 starters 2 mains 2 desserts 1 side £115”

“Had a lovely Christmas Day lunch. Everyone enjoyed their meal, it was very well organised and staff were extremely attentive even though they were clearly busy. We arrived as they opened at 12.30, were served drinks upon arrival. Service was swift but not rushed, we were on a reasonably tight schedule anyway due to having to be away by 2.30.”

“Christmas 2024 was the first time I had used Connolly’s (who had been recommended to me). I had a large order to send to various clients across the country; Connolly’s helped me with the wine selection and also provided a packing and postage service. They got the deliveries out on time, which was a feat as I couldn’t confirm some of the recipients’ details until the last minute. “We popped in to have some food here. The prepayment system is easy to use, and the staff helped us to have a card and top it up. There are different eateries with Korian, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Chinese food. The concept is perfect, the staff is friendly, the food is tasty, and we had massive portions. I will definitely visit when I visit Birmingham next time.”

“Order ahead as it takes them at least 30 - 40 minutes as they have a thriving take away business - the food is zero frills and 100% on the taste and far too cheap for what you get - if it's food alone that you are after, then go there - if it is atmosphere, service and no compromise quality then my favourite has to be Rajdoot in George St, Birmingham - the food there will knock your socks off and impeccable decor and atmosphere - but it comes at a price - but if quality equals price then not an issue - if you want a Patek Philippe then you have to pay the price”
