“Called in for food and it didn't disappoint the staff are very friendly we were greeted by two lovely ladies who were very welcoming we were shown to our table by one of them and our drinks oas taken quickly and were brought to us within minutes, she took our food orders and we can honestly say the food was hot the portion sizes are good and just full of flavour, we had a young cheerful waitress who was polite and made our time here very relaxed we didn't have to ask for anything as she checked in with us regularly, will definitely recommend the fountain to family and friends.”

“We had a fantastic meal lunchtime today at Afan Lodge. The meals were very tasty and huge with lots of added extras. Excellent value for money. Service was excellent and friendly staff. I’d highly recommend a visit 5 stars from our family”

“I had a great breakfast on Monday morning here. Plenty of available tables around 10am, even ones to sit outside if you're brave enough to face the Welsh weather. The young staff were super friendly, I ordered the largest breakfast and it was no trouble to substitute one item that I don't like for an extra hash brown. The portions were large (just what I wanted!) it was everything a full English breakfast is expected to be from a traditional cafe. The complimentary cuppa goes a long way too, as many places charge extra for this lately. My only suggestion, I didn't see fried bread on the menu which isn't something I go for, but my friend who usually goes for breakfast with me will always ask for it (the staff were so obliging, I'm sure they'd fry some bread if requested) thanks for a great start to my week, guys”

“We arrived here on a Friday Evening with no booking and it was busy. Staff went out their way to accommodate us and the service was simply excellent. All the food was of superb quality. One of the best curry night outs we have had. Thanks to all the staff who worked hard to make our experience wonderful - Its fully appreciated and we will be returning when next in the area. UPDATE - We revisited 2 yrs later and service remains the same - Superb, food is great and highly recommend. Thanks to all who made our meal delightful. See you again hopefully in the future..”

We were celebrating my grandson’s 30th birthday, 54 of us, and there was also another large party going on , so no easy task for the incredibly hard working staff. “We booked in Advance its open 6.00pm promptly just take note the menu on the outside of the property it’s not up to date some of the items you unable to have was told last night it is 5 years outdated! Nice friendly staff nice starters I had king prawn my partner had pate both had sirloin stake I wanted mine medium & my partner well done & we emphasised that when it came out it had blood in its & for her it was off putting they quickly took it back but my fear that all the chips & the vegetables would gets cold but to fair play fresh chips & its was cooked correctly second time lens was nice”

“Whar a great find!!! Firstly the staff are SUPER friendly and accommodating! The tables and eating areas were all lovely and clean. We had breakfasts and a kids lunch- the potions are huge, it's all clearly freshly cooked. Food was delicious and service was excellent, prices are really reasonable too. I'd definitely return!”

“My friend gifted me an afternoon tea voucher for two and it was an enjoyable experience! Lovely decor upstairs in the tea room, loved the paintings, and a wide variety of teas to choose from. We tried the 3 fruit teas and rhubarb was my favourite. The food was brought in not long after our teas were served. Well presented, as expected for an afternoon tea. The mini quiches were my favourite, along with warm scones served with clotted cream, jam and fresh strawberries.”

“This is our second time eating here after recently moving to the area. First time we both had steak and it was faultless, I eat my steak blue and the waitress assured me the chef could do it (I'm always a little hesitant) she was bang on the money it was amazing i could of used a butter knife!!! this time my husband had lasagne and I had the belly pork, yet again it was beautiful. Hats of to the chef!!! All the staff are friendly and happy to help. We will definitely be back to this little gem... definitely recommend it.”

“Found this gem while searching. Fantastic pub roast and a nice find. Was board of sane old comercial chain roasts and wanted a good old pub one. And could not fault it. Just to much veg. Kids menu also good. 8 yr old had kids roast. 4 year old chose good old chicken coujons me expecting a few frozen no problem he loves them mash and gravy. Well how wrong 3 home made goujons and way to big for him he managed 1 of them and we had to try eat other 2.”

“Absolutely delicious food and fantastic service! We ordered butter chicken madras hot and chicken tikka masala it was full of rich, distinct flavours, you could really taste the difference in the spices and ingredients. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful over the phone when we called with a quick question, very professional and friendly. Highly recommend this place, definitely my favourite and one of the best Indian takeaways around!”
